Hello, I'm Sarah Louise Ryan and welcome to Love Lessons Live. I'm here on women's radio station and today we're going to be talking about love and relationships and working from within. Not had enough coffee with Soul Space. And today I'm welcoming Shahrukh Kapoor and we're going to be talking a little bit about dating, relationships, breakups, divorce, building community and bringing a whole hub of women together to share and be vulnerable and to create a life that they love. So welcome. Thank you. I'm so excited that you're here on women's radio station with me today because I know that you're building a global community of women and bringing them together to, I guess, share their life experiences and talk openly about all things in their life, all the slices of the life cake. And specifically, I want to get to grips with the business that you've built and how you bring women together. So first and foremost, tell us a little bit about who you are and then let's talk about your wonderful business. Hi, everyone. I'm Charu Kapoor. So I've come together in a corporate world for the last few years and I decided last year that, hey, you know what, I want to connect with my inner being and come about and form and reach out to my soul all over again and connect more with wellness. And I came about to launch Akara, which is a women's platform. And Akara, which really resonates with my being, means powerful and complete. And in Sanskrit, it connects with aum, which means opening opportunities of freedom and enjoying your life. So that's how Akara came about. This was about last year. A few months ago, we launched Akara. And Akara is a platform for. For women which come together from all walks of life. It's a global platform across India, Dubai and London. And it is a forum where we get together with empowering women from all walks of life, inspiring women, and for enthusiasts and executives who come together. They can come together and share about their journey and they can connect with women. And it's a holistic wellness forum is more I can put it. Amazing. Thank you so much. And I was going to ask you, what does acara mean? And first and foremost, how did it come about? Obviously you were getting to grips with yourself and it all starts with ourselves and finding the space from within. So what is it about working on yourself that made you bring this business to a platform for women to share? I think being in the corporate world, when you're so busy with your daily life, you realize there's A lot of thoughts you're tossing and turning with yourself that what's real and what's not real because there's a lack of time and you have a lot of energy, but you're kind of always fighting with time and to give quality time to your family or to your partners and also trying to give your best to work as well. And you tend to forget sometimes about your own wellness, your own well being, connecting with your own inner soul, your yourself and finding your true self because you're out in the world to compete and to deliver what's required of you. And I think my journey started when I started searching in accidentally. I went to a wellness center somewhere and I discovered that I had to kind of go inwards a little bit more with meditation and the chakra healing. So yeah, so when you first came about with the idea of a cara and bringing people together to find space and get to grips with their soul and what it is that they want in life, how did you carve out the time? Because that was the first and foremost thing that you thought about. I'm a time poor professional and I know that I need to work on my well being. How did you carve out the time to make that happen? I think it's been a journey. I have to say that it was not an overnight sort of a space. I've reached Internet junction and said, hey, know what? It's more about kind of discovering how you kind of resonate what works for you as well. So of course it was a journey which I went through for a few months and more about kind of meditating and going into my inner self. Really kind of understanding, you know, what we should kind of share with women. So I guess it's slow but steady wins the race when it comes to carving out time for oneself to, you know, you say meditation and some people find it really hard to just sit and be still, not only physically, but with one's mind. And you know, we're here today in the big smoke that is London, but you have a global platform and a global audience, as do women's radio station. And so we know all too well that in big cities it can be really tough to make that happen. And so do you have any advice for a little bit about meditation as a way to get started? Because not only do the women listening in want to attract more of everything into their lives, they want to create more time to find love too, or more time to deepen the connection in their relationship. So how do we start meditating and how did you start. For me, I think there's few things. I think we're always, all of us are trying to fight with our subconscious and our conscious mind all the time to kind of say, hey, you know what, what is right, what is not right? How do I kind of get the wellness factor or the balance back in my life? We're always trying to do that. But I think if you can tend to give away a little bit time to yourself, you know, either first thing in the morning or towards the end of the day, even create mini rituals per se in your life. Oh, tell me about a mini ritual. That sounds exciting. Mini rituals, I would say like even kind of burning tea, light candles in the evening, burning essential oils in the evening, just a tiny bit when you're back from work, even in the morning, have that burning while you're getting ready for work, putting your face on for work. It just kind of resonates a bit of inner well being and peace within you and you kind of reconnect with your soul. It's mini, mini rituals. And then you kind of lead on to kind of, you know, setting up small, maybe 10 minute meditation sessions. Just silence. You could even kind of think of a word you want to say. And you just kind of keep saying that word aloud. You in a closed room when you're getting ready by yourself, if you have a partner next to you or your family might think you're a little bit off, but that's something where you can just resonate, even if it's the word om. And you just say that a few times. It's so exciting that you should talk about mini rituals because as I think about my day as a busy female professional and I think, do I have any mini rituals in my day? Yes, actually I do. In the morning I always have an espresso while I'm getting ready. And then in the evening I know I always have work to catch up on because you know, for my sins I can't time manage very well and so well, even though I'm juggling a lot so you know, as are the women listening in. And so I'll light a candle, I might pour a glass of wine, I might go for a swim before I do those things. And interestingly enough, before we came onto the show today, we were talking about amethyst and having crystals and not to get to woo woo if that's not there for you and you're listening in, but just having things around you that bring you to a space of calm when you want to do the things that you don't normally get chance to do is so important. It's also to kind of reconnect. So for example, little mini things which I started doing when I was in the corporate world was accidentally I got introduced to crystals by a colleague and I started carrying just some love quartz crystals in my purse with me, you know, and I was like, I just would touch them because once you touch them, you energize them with new energy and it just kind of made me feel a little bit more powerful within my own self and kind of resonates a little bit more energy and you exuberate that out as well when you meet people even in your living space to kind of have some sort of crystal which connects with you. Yeah, it's funny because I always thought of crystals being a little bit too woo woo for me because I'm ever a realist and I'm actually just being in the dating industry, I don't deem myself to be a romantic. And so I actually googled something when I became single a few years ago. Before I found my now partner, I googled a practical being, the practical woman that I thought and think I am. Googled a to do list for feng shui around my home to attract the love into my life. And I'm telling you, it worked. So one of the things was having rose quartz around and I had it in the abundance southeastern section of my or south section of my home. Picture of the kiss painting, is it? Who who did that? Was it Gustav? I think so. And that's over in. Oh, don't quote me on it, I don't know. And yeah, had a little picture of that painting, rose quartz had light candle which I heard energized those crystals. And before you know it, I was having great dates and have now met my partner. I'm not putting it down to crystals, I'm just telling you. So tell me a little bit about one section of your business and we'll talk about all the rest of the sections a little bit later on in the show. But let's specifically talk about Soul Space. So how can Acara, using the platform of Soul Space, help women come together to talk about attracting love and finding love and if they've already found it, deepening their connection in their relationships. So soul space is one of the modules of Acara, amongst others. And within Soul Space, women who are entrepreneurs would come together and talk about their journey and how they brought their brands up to speed, where they are today, and also kind of balancing their life with the wellness Factor how they pull it together within the soul space. They can come together and talk about the brand and also we have talks at the same time and there would be holistic workshops which we have at soul space which would be crystal healing, could be chakra healing, could have Sarah yourself maybe come and talk for us for our people who come, you know, possibly and have inspiring women to come and talk. Could be a candle making workshop, essential oils making workshop. But then we come together and we talk about it as well and you mingle and you share ideas with other women and as you know, women help women succeed is what I believe in. That's so true. And I do believe that like attracts life. So something in your website and that I've heard and I'd love just a quick fire round. How can we create a 360 degree holistic lifestyle to attract love and relationships if you could do like a quick fire round? I think it's just more to kind of create that balance within your life. It's quite important. One is, the second one I would say is to have connect with your inner self is quite important again to connect with your inner self and make space for another person to come in. Amazing. I am Sarah Louise Ryan. Hello, I'm Sarah Louise Ryan and welcome back to Love Lessons live here on Women's Radio Station. As you already know, this is the show where we talk about dating, relationships, heartbreak, divorce and bouncing back again as a confident single. I'm so excited. Today we've got Shahrukh Kapoor on the show. Say hello. Hello. And we've been talking about her wonderful business, Acara and how she helps women create soul space and space to connect with their soul, I guess via workshops, talks and creating a huge sense of community with women all over the world. Now I want to tell you that Girou has lived all over the world and gained a global insight in communities of the women in India, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Dubai and more. I guess the States as well. No? Yes, and tell us a little bit about your experience of the women in the global community so far. What do they need and why do they come to you? I think I would kind of say they would come to Acara to kind of connect with women, kind of connect the dots because it's more about reaching out. Because in the digital space at the moment, you see women can reach each other by Instagram, etc. And you know, kind of connect. But this space, when you come into Akora, it's more Akara, it's more so to say one to one connectivity with people, women on a face to face, on a face value, smaller boutique sort of events which we have. And they can connect with each other and even reach out for support if they have to. Whether it's in a business forum, it could be reaching out as a mentor to somebody. It could be an entrepreneur, young person who's 25 years old starting up and could reach out to an executive who's probably a CEO of a big company to say, hey, you know what? I'm thinking of this idea, what do you think? Banter off, etc. So that's what the idea is of Acara to come across with women from all generations, from let's say 25 to maybe 45, 50 or even older, come together and you know, mingle with each other and connect. I mean, a small example I'd give you, I've kind of found somebody who does these amazing cookies which are energy energized cookies which are not available yet in the uk but they're available in the US but it's something such a unique concept. It's energized crystal cookies which are edible. What do you mean? Oh my God. I can't tell you more about it yet, but that's a surprise. It's gonna be at one of our events soon, I'm sure. Okay, well, I'm sure I'll be able to share a little bit of a snippet thereafter when it's all launched. That's so exciting. So earlier, before the break, we talked about top three tips to creating this 360 degree holistic lifestyle. And it's this idea that women can have it all, but only if they find the work life balance. So as a busy professional, how do I know whether I've got it right or not? How can I take stock and figure out how my work life balance is looking? Have you got any clues on that? I think it's a state of mind. Firstly, it is really a state of mind where you Think, okay, you know, I have it all. I don't have it all. Because you've got to believe in yourself that, you know, if you have it all means you. You've got to have to have peace within yourself first. Because you're constantly running and juggling your life with family, with partners, with parents, everybody. You're juggling your life. And also, if you've achieved everything in your career, you still try to kind of find yourself. The first thing is to find your inner being. You know, once you find your inner being, you know, you're at a comfort zone. Yeah, absolutely. You know, earlier, before the show, sorry for those listeners who weren't in our meeting before the show that I keep referring to, but it's just so wonderful to chat to these women who are so insightful. And when I say women, we'll tell you more. There's two of them. Later, we were talking about the women in India and how they often chat more offline and come and get connected. And that kind of sparked a thought in my mind about cultural differences. So do you find that in some places, because you're in Dubai, you're in India, that there are different needs and different wants to come to Acara? And I know that's a big question, but I want to follow it also with the idea, do they have different needs about love and relationships? Because I guess if the women in India are not so much online, they have different grievances about finding love and connecting and talking about love than the women, say, in London. So tell me about the cultural differences that you're finding with the women that come to you in a car and what their needs are. I think mainly, Sarah, the women who are coming are professionals when they come in, let's say if they come in, in Dubai, it's more so to. So because it's more. It's not so open over there in Dubai. It's kind of still, everything's got to be understated, as in, it's not out in the open, you don't drink alcohol and, you know, it's a little bit understated. It's behind the covers pretty much a little bit. Even if you say in the other countries in, you know, Saudi and stuff like that. So we do have all kind of women who come in there, you know, who want to reach out and connect. And there's a big expat transient community in Dubai which, you know, does travel to the west, but they do adhere to the Middle Eastern sort of lifestyle and the pattern when you can't do stuff openly over there in the Middle East. Whereas in India the women again are more, I would say women click together, they hang together. You know, it's more kind of a sisterhood pattern in India. I love that word, sisterhood. Yeah, it is quite a lot, you know, like that. They stick together, they stick together. And it's quite a male dominated community. I mean, yes, the younger women are, you know, changing the face over there in India, but it is kind of male dominated over there. So it's more sisterhood. They look out for each other. They are there. And a lot of the community in India, the women are getting to work and professionals basically going into the corporate world, which is not the case, which it used to be years ago. So a lot of successful women in India now who also come together. So they do have to manage as a traditional role, they have to manage everything, plus be out into the world doing the corporate jobs. Whereas in the Western world, I would say in London, if you're working as a woman, you are, you know, as a partner, you're at home, you're kind of, it's a double role. You have kind of a partnership with your partner, you're living with, you do it together. It's not a male chauvinistic sort of an environment in London. It's different here in the uk. Yeah, absolutely. And I think a few things that you've just said have really like kind of spoken to my heart a little bit and I guess that's where I'm a little bit of a romantic. I guess I'm kind of using my words there. But when you say that working in Dubai and bringing these women together, they are quite cliquey and they do have a sisterhood, but yet you're creating a platform for them to share openly in a space that's not so open. Yeah, absolutely. But you know, the thing is, when women come together and they talk in front of a woman, there are lots of platforms in the forums, in the business world community where women and men go and talk. But when women come together in a women's room, they can be vulnerable, they can talk about what they haven't achieved and where they are a bit. They are unsure about what they want to do. But when they see and hear another woman talking, they say, oh my God, wow. She just hasn't got to the top just so easily. She's been through the same ways that I'm struggling at the little, little mini, mini things on a daily life and they resonate with that. I think that sharing Vulnerability brings a greater sense of connectivity in a space and it's. It also makes you, as a woman, I think, go forward with grace because you are grateful and you can have grace in the fact that the woman sat next to you is going through similar, if not the same things that you're going through in love, relationships, finances, work, equality, and whatever. I think it's more. I would say it's more about empowering the other women. It's empowerment for the women. One woman can empower the other woman and dwell it, make herself telling. Absolutely. And it's a really feel good factor. I personally have had that experience with, you know, in my earlier time in my careers in Amsterdam, I had very successful women. We had one of these forums in, you know, in the offices when I was at Mex, and it was a woman, she's very, very successful and she was my mentor. So I picked up a few things from her to say, oh, my God, if she can do it, I can kind of go ahead and do that. It was probably like 20 years ago now. And I've always kept that at the back of my mind, you know, to kind of say, you can balance your work and family life and be successful at business too. You can have it all and have love too, as well. Because that is love can bring a good, feel good factor in your life. Wellness and love really balances your inner space out for a woman. You need both of them. Do you know what? I'm so pleased that you said that, because earlier on this morning, when I was having my morning espresso that we were talking about before, I jotted something down that relationships, whether social or romantic, can make people happier and contribute to joy in their lives. And it totally resonates with what you just said. Yeah. I think it just kind of brings the Zen factor, the yin and the yang, back in your life when you have love and wellness both. Yes. Yeah. And you have to. It's also not something which you can go and just buy it off a shelf. It's a lifestyle change which you kind of bring about. And it's got to be a conscious effort which women could do if they want to do that. Yes. And so with Acara, I know that you're creating this space and this platform for women to come together. How do you think it's going to help women who are busy professionals in their search for love or in their search for deepening their connection with their partners? I would think when women would come to these events, which we have, there would be retreats, soul Space retreats as well, where you can go away and you reconnect with other women and you talk about experiences as well. I think it's a little bit more about sharing with each other. You know, when they come away for the retreats, you kind of let loose. You are with other women, you experience some fun activities. You talk about where your journey is at, at the moment, how you're balancing your life out. Because there could be. The woman sitting right next to you is going through exactly the same thing as yourself. You know, it's more about advising each other and talking about it and enriching everyone's, you know, the other person's life. So it's, I guess it's like about, obviously, as you said before, empowerment and inspiration and connectivity and sharing and storytelling. And that is the platform that you're providing and so you're doing that via events. But do you think there will be something online in this world that's ever online as well, or is there already that I don't know about? Sorry, with a Cara. Do you think there'll be something online? Because I know you do events which are offline. Yes. And will there be a space online for them to share or can we not talk about that? I think that's my phase two launch. So at the moment we're still in phase one. It's the journey. We've. We're gonna be on a journey at the moment and this is the beginning of the journey and there will be definitely online platform where there will be, you know, where will we have, you know, community online, which we have. So we've just launched our website and there's phase two and phase three, which I think I'm gonna hold on to reveal for now. Oh my gosh. Because I'm so nosy. It's the Mancunian in me. If you could give me three words to sum up what connectivity means to you. Connectivity, I would say connectivity. I would say your soul. Connect with your inner being and community. Community. Amazing. I'm Sarah Louise Ryan here with Shahrukh K. Talking Acara on Love Lessons Live. We'll be right back. Welcome to the Women's Radio Station supporting women's well being. Oh, and gents, if there's any out there listening, I'm Sarah Louise Ryan and welcome back to Love Lessons Live. I'm here at Women's Radio station. We're talking about, well, being, wellness in love and relationships and I guess in dating, if you're out There dating. Today, I'm here with Shahrukh Kapoor, founder of Acara. And in this segment, I'd like to welcome Kangan, her daughter and I guess, business partner, right? Yes. Tell me a little bit about you, Kangan. Well, I run a digital marketing agency and currently I am the guardian of a Cara home. So I work with my mom and I work with her for branding and all things marketing to make sure our message is conveyed properly and to the right audience. So you're both speaking from the same him sheet with the brand and what you're doing to connect women in the world today in all levels of their life? I guess so we were just before the break talking a little bit about holistic lifestyle, taking stock on whether women can have it all, and if so, how they can have it all. And so with a Cara, it's a platform for women to come together. And we talked about sisterhood and how they can share, they can storytell and be vulnerable with each other to empower and inspire and to feel connected. And so it's so exciting to have two female entrepreneurs on the show in the station talking about their journey. So, Sharu, I want to kind of direct this question at you because I'd love to hear more about your love life journey because you really resonate with most of the women listening in, really busy professionals, some of them single. And I want to know how you navigated, you know, being an entrepreneur as a single mom at the time. So tell me a little bit about that. So, yeah, I was a single mom for about 22 years. I brought up Kangan and we traveled about seven countries. We were like, traveling. We were just excited to move different countries with her and exploring life together. So we've grown up together. And. And at that point I was like, hey, you know what? My world and my life being is actually my work and Kangan and to maintain that balance between her life and my life, I maintained, okay, there's no space for any men in my life right now. I would have loved to have a young man in my life as a companion, but there was no space. And I was like, I'm loving this journey with my daughter and business and I have to succeed. And I wanted to succeed. There was no way out for me and I went for it. And along the journey, I said, okay, when Kangan goes to university, I'm going to look out outside of my world to see what can come in and open my doors out to someone, to welcome somebody into my life. And lo and behold, of course, when Kangan left and I was out and I got my mojo back per se and I kind of looked out and I started meeting people, connecting with people, mingling a little bit more, meeting, you know, talking to people as well. And I was open. And I think from a dating perspective, once you're open, your right partner comes towards you. It's the world conspires for you is what I believe in. And I did meet my soulmate six years ago and yeah, last year I decided, okay, we decided not. I decided, we decided, yeah, that we should be together for a long time to come. So she finally got her fairy tale love. Yeah. Yes, Quite nice. It's absolutely beautiful. And also it really speaks volumes about when you're focused and you've decided that your goal is to be, you know, climbing the career ladder or fully immersed corporately and you're very focused on that, that you energetically shut yourself off from romantic prospects because that's the decision that you have made. But then you had specifically designed your life in a way that worked for you and for Kangan at the time and decided that this is how you want to live your life. And then you specifically made a choice. You choose to become open. How did you do or conduct that transition in choice? I think it was more because I had more time to myself. I got more me time when my daughter went out to university. I was on my own, which I had no time earlier. So it's more me time connecting with my inner being again. As I say that, I've said that previously into the show as well and meeting more people, interacting, meeting women, going out, you know, for girls night out or even per se, going out with some friends. And I mean, I remember in school time Kangan would say, hey, come to school. There are lots of single dads at school, Mom, I'll introduce you to them. That's right, Kangan. You know, when I was in school, so many people used to hit on my mom walking up and down the street. We'd be looking at like apartments and different. Like when we were in Holland or in London and these guys would be like asking her out on a date and she'd be like, alright, thanks so much, gotta leave now, bye. Shutting them down, it was such a shock to me. But when six years ago my mom introduced me to like the love of her life, it was as if it was meant to be and it was just the perfect time. So it's really important that the time correct and you're actually ready to let somebody into your life, you know, I'm really not surprised that you were attracting so many people, I guess in all those seven different countries that you were traveling to together. And that's because I do believe that happiness is the, you know, most attractive traits. And you were living, you know, your vision and you had decided and mapped out a life that you loved and you had designed for yourself and that radiates positivity and energetically attracts, you know, the kind of person, I guess that you want to meet, but it just wasn't right for you at that time. And Sarah, just to add to that, I have to say my working career life has been absolutely, I've loved each day of it. There was not a day that I felt that I was getting up and going to work. It was my passion, what I was doing. And I think the key thing is to follow your passion really whatever you're doing and you do succeed, you know. And we were saying earlier that when you are so aligned with your passion and your passion is your profession, then you know, you are raising a higher vibe and you are on this higher playing field of, you know, vibration and so you attract like minded people and that could be love into your life. So I want to, you know, ask you, Kangan, a little bit about what your journey's been like to I guess, entrepreneurship with your mum. And have you learned anything about, you know, designing a life that you love and you know, what she has done to attract love into her life. Can you tell me a bit about what you have learned? Well, with my mom as my inspiration, it's been incredible in terms of corporate life as well as her personal life. I've actually learned that you have to love yourself before you can love anybody else. And through that, this platform is an incredible platform for any women out there where you can actually, we believe that every decision that you make counts and the foundation of holistic life starts with love and wellness. And that's something my mom has incorporated in my life throughout my, throughout me growing up, I guess. And the idea that the mind, body, spirit are all linked and intertwined and in many ways through that we create a 360 holistic lifestyle. No, that's absolutely amazing. And so right actually before the show because you know me, I'm always like reading and writing and you know, thinking. I do most of my thinking in the shower. I don't know why I'm sharing that, but it's true. And I, I read something this morning that obviously having good relationships brings you into this, you know, and not just romantic relationships, ladies and Gents listening in. I mean, you know, good relationships all around you, like with, you know, Cherie, with your daughter and vice versa and business relationships. It brings you into this higher playing field of positivity, glass half, full attitude. But when you have relationships where there are grievances and poor communication and the energy is low and you're not connecting physically, verbally, you know intimately, then that can have an adverse effect on your mental health, on your immune system energetically. What happens in our body and I guess it's quite a fully loaded information set there. What do you find with women coming to Acara and Soul Space, what do you find they talk about when it comes to love and relationships and connection, is it good, bad, and give us the ugly as well? I think mainly it's about balance. How do they create their balance in their life? Because it can get quite tipped over. Because if you're so career focused, how do you get your balance back into your life? So it's not really when they come on the platform as to. It's not like a counseling session. I would, you know, just to kind of clarify, it's. It's more how do they get their balanced life back? So you have to take moments out to be with whoever you're with. And I think the key factor is to be in the moment, be present, be present. So you know, we in the corporate world, we're sitting with our partners, we're out for a meal, you're checking on your phone, you're checking your emails, you're checking on Instacart, taking photos, whatever. No, it's not done. You've got to reconnect and be in the moment. When you're there, you've got to shut down and be in the moment. And that's what true joy comes into your life. Otherwise it doesn't exist because we are so distracted wherever we go. Otherwise. I think that's something that I've touched on quite a lot on other shows is the idea of not being present. And we have discussed before on the show about seeing couples out for dinner and being so connected online that they're not connecting with each other. And I think it's so amazing that you're, I guess, providing this offline space for people to have real in life human connection. And I really implore and for lack of a better word, adore the idea of human connectivity offline because I feel that the art of communication is being lost in this digital world and portal. And so what you do is really fascinating to me and exciting and you know also when the women come together, Shara, I must add, it's more so that when they do their wellness activities together, it's a different being. So let's say my last event which we had, we had a sound healing session which was amazing because women, it was just sound healing going on. I want to talk all about that after the break. That sounds like a whole big section of fun stuff to talk about sound healing, what else? And there's also gongs as well. So you have the gong sessions going on and then there's tapping sessions. So there's loads of in the sessions when they're a group of women together, they connect immediately from their soul. But it's not only just holistic workshops for like various techniques. You also host like practical workshops like candle making workshops or like creating your own like oils and essences that you can use on your body that can resonate like nice smells, that gives you different types of feeling. Okay, and what do you find that if you could sum up in I guess again three words that creativity brings out in a space. Kangan, do you want to add to that? Putting me on the spot here? Three words that brings creativity in space, colors, feeling and connection. I don't know. So I'm Sarah Louise Ryan. I'm here with the two wonderful Kapoors of Akara home and I'll be right back on Love Lessons Live after the break. Welcome to women's radio station. Hello, I'm Sarah Louise Ryan and welcome back to Love Lessons Live. We're here talking about everything that supports health, well being and wellness in love, dating and relationships. I'm here with the wonderful Kapoor ladies and we're talking about a Cara home and how it brings balance back to being in all areas of women's lives. So welcome back girls. Thank you. So lovely to be here. So just before the break we were having a chit chat about I guess couples being out, being online and not really being present with each other and with themselves. And you were talking Sharu, just in general about being present in general and how there's a lack thereof these days. What do you think we can do? Best to get offline and be present and to enjoy the moment. I think it's More, I think, I think few things we should kind of try and do is when you're out and enjoying the being in the moment is to come offline completely. Is to come offline completely and you know, be there, not be distracted by Instagram or posting photos of the food on the table when you're out for a meal or checking your work emails, which tends to happen when you're out, you know, as a couple as well. To bring that mojo back into the relationship, do small little things, activities, maybe I would say even think of ideas like you pick a thing from A to Z that rest of your dates. You pick something from A, what starts with A, what you're going to be doing, something from B which could be going boating if that makes sense, or bowling or something. And so it's an A to Z. So you have like, you know, one Alphabet for each date you do and you plan that out and it's kind of fun to do it. And it could be something really natural and simple. It doesn't have to be something fancy, a fine dining. I think it's important for women to kind of. I need both the partners. But women do tend to take the initiative for all these kind of activities to bring that mojo and balance back in a relationship, you know, to have that love sparkling all the time. It's so fun that you've mentioned, you know, what we call Alphabet dating because we've mentioned it on the show before with a very well followed dating and relationship coach, Dr. Tart. Him and his wife are huge in the States and they've talked about how they do Alphabet dating. And my partner and I, we've endeavored to do it, but so have we actually. But we only got till D and we stopped. We forgot about it. Yeah, exactly. Well, you just have to pick back up again. So being present, I guess. So speaking about the very successful, savvy, smart women that come to you, they're often entrepreneurial too. How can we encourage them to get offline and stop checking their emails in general and stop being busy? Because if they're, I mean there used to be a buzzword. No, let me rephrase that. There is this buzzword about busy and busy is like the new black. It's the best. I'm busier than you. And we've got this comparison, you know, crisis of who's busiest. Am I busier than you? You can't be busier than me. And how can we eliminate that busy is not attractive. No, it's not. I mean the other ways you Know that maybe I'm not available at the moment or I'll come back to you with something. And the B word should be out of the dictionary per se because, you know, the beware is not healthy in a relationship at all. For a woman. It's not. You've got to come out and reach out. It's critical. Yes. And I guess it's also important to say, yeah, I'm busy, but this is my priority. Because when you're saying you're busy, what you're effectively inadvertently saying is you're not my priority or you're not interested. Yeah, well, I guess so. Because if you're not present with somebody, you're clearly telling them, I'm not interested. You're not someone that I want to be present with right now. My, like my phone is more entertaining than you. I know. But if you're in a marriage, how does that, how does that work? Because you click. You are interested because you're married. Yeah, you're committed. So if you're on a date, I guess you're putting across that you're not interested. I think if you're married, I guess. So your kind of interpretation is, yeah, I'm not, I'm not interested. But you are because you're married. And I think when you're married, I think it's more so because you just tend to start taking each other for granted a little bit, you know, because you're living with each other, you know each other's faults and stuff. But I think sometimes you just have to switch off, go out of your ordinary routines, do some fun stuff even. It might be something, you know, just go for a nice long walk together, which you don't end up doing if you're a couple living together so often. I mean, yes, on the weekends, but I'm just saying do the out of the ordinary, which is not your normal routine. It just brings spark back into the marriage life as well. Little things, you know. And earlier on today, you and I had a chit chat and I think you said something about digital detoxing somewhere. Yes. Can you remind me what we were talking about? I think it's more, also I think the communication is more and more online at the moment with couples. It's more like you're on WhatsApp with your husbands as well as your boyfriends or your partners. And I think it should be more face to face communication or even verbal banter with each other as opposed to just on WhatsApp or on social media communication. And the other thing I Totally think is important is posting, you know, images of these happy faces and couples on social media. I think that is a complete no. No, because, oh my God. I think that just kind of impacts your relationships. Kangan, you were saying something a little bit earlier that in the break, Sorry, ladies and gents. We do chit chat an awful lot about how things on, you know, online, in WhatsApp and all of that jazz can be really misinterpreted. And so getting offline is important. It's really important because if you're, if you're having an argument or having a discussion, you want to put a point across, but your emotions, your feelings aren't actually coming through in words. It's how you say it. It's your tone of voice, all of this. It's important to see other people's facial expressions as well when you're relaying like a message as well. But to your point, mom, in terms of social media as well, I think it's, it's really, it's unfortunate that people are curating a lifestyle and they're pushing out like a, an image of themselves and their love life that like maybe other singletons or other females are feeling like, oh my God, my love and my life isn't as amazing as the person ahead of me on Instagram. The way I see Instagram and Facebook and all of that stuff is that people present a magazine of the best shots of their life. And so what it is is this portrayal of perfection in the best moments. But, you know, we don't see you at your mediocre, let alone your worst. So all we have is, you know, this moment, I guess, and a comparison crisis can slip in, especially if you haven't found love or you're in a relationship where grievances of the slipped in and yours doesn't look as perfect as somebody else. So you enter into analysis paralysis and you're just like, ah, I'm failing. Love life isn't working. Work isn't working. So what can we do to step away from this analysis paralysis? I don't know. I really do believe, you know, just doing even. I keep coming back to wellness a little bit. Just do some fun yoga, do laughter yoga, do face yoga together. You don't have to do the boring yoga classes or whatever, do some face yoga is amazing. Have you got any laughter yoga coming up? Because I would definitely go to that. Definitely. We'll keep you posted on that. Yes. And actually we did talk about that before that if you are interested in finding balance and you're tuning in and these women really resonate with you the same way that they resonate with me. Then head over to Acara home and check out their events because I promise you they get about. They're in New York, they're in India, la. Am I right? LA in Dubai. Goodness. And here in London today as well. Yeah. Amazing. So let's talk then, you know fully to wrap up this wonderful show about having wellness in relationships. If you could give us some integral top tips to either finding love in an offline space or deepening connection offline, what would they be? Okay, I think the first one which comes to my mind would be firstly to know who you're looking for. What are you looking for in your life? I think that's really important. First you need to be as a person need to be quite well aware of that. You know, you're looking for someone just to kind of for long term or whatever, that's important. And when you go out as well in the world, just open your heart out. You need to open your heart out and let the love flow in. Connect with your like minded person and be your true self. Don't put on an act that you're somebody else because that's going to attract the wrong kind of person to you. You've got to be yourself. Well what's that saying? Be yourself because everyone else is taken. Yeah, that's so true. Absolutely. Because you're going to attract the wrong kind of person otherwise and love yourself. That's the top one thing. You've got to love yourself first and finding the space to do that. I love what you've been saying and I'm just gonna take it away with me that you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else or attract love into your life or give love the space that it needs to grow. If you don't first and foremost love yourself because you have to be whole so you can attract another whole. If you and you know, talked about it so many times, you haven't got another half, you are whole. And when people say oh my better half or my other half, you know, it really pains me to hear that know you're whole. And I think with Soul space at Akara you can help people, you know, get to the core of what their whole means and what makes up all the slices of that. Yes, absolutely, I guess. So tell us what's coming up and what should we expect to see from you? So in the next few weeks we've got a few workshops coming up in London and we are going to be hosting an event next week as well, which is a, you know, a women's event, which is going to be like soul discussion space. We're going to be having that. Yeah. Is that entrepreneurial or about what's it entrepreneurial? This one is for entrepreneurial. So we're going to have a workshop there which we have and people are going to talk about their journey and we have somebody coming from the US who's going to be a speaker at that event as well. That's exciting. Quite interesting. Yeah. And then the next one we have is going to be in Dubai after that. So it's a traveling per se. Right now we're just traveling the countries and doing the workshop in each of the countries. I can just imagine you having this tribe of women, this sisterhood of women following you around to take snippets of advice about everything in their life to find balance. Yeah, it's very exciting. That's what the platform is for, so you can connect with women that actually resonate with what you want to achieve in life and then take it from there, build long lasting relationships from there and grow as a person. Oh, my goodness. Ladies, thank you so much for coming into the show today. It's been a real pleasure. I feel definitely more grounded than I did before I arrived here today having met you both in person. And I'm sure that the women and I guess gents listening in have taken away some snippets of today to find balance in their life. I hope so too, and hopefully attracts a little bit of love.
