I was born and bred in Watford, a town labelled by Lonely Planet as “the kind of place that makes you want to travel.” They weren’t wrong: I lived and worked in the the Middle East, Caribbean, Asia and South America before returning to Blighty where I work as a travel and lifestyle journalist.
When I’m not working, I am out and about exploring London with Talk of the Town – a dynamic walking tour guide company I co-founded, that aims to provide the inside track on the London scene for locals and visitors alike.
I’m also interested in fashion, food and the arts (I serve on One New Change’s Style Council), socialising and sports: I am a season ticket holder at Watford Football club where I volunteer as a Vicarage Roadie – a team of Watford supporters who work to enhance the match-day experience for home and away fans. Hospital Radio (where I visit patients before co-presenting a request show on Wednesday) and politics (I’m an active member of my local Liberal Democrats group) are other interests.
However my biggest passion is international travel: free time and disposable cash is spent abroad.
