Hello and welcome to Future Classic Women Awards with me, Stefania Passamonte, on the Women's Radio Station, the program where we search for the amazing new female artists on the classical panorama. I am very pleased to announce today the finalists of our third edition of Future Classic Women Awards on the Women's Radio Station. It was a fantastic year All recorded in remote with this on and off pandemic, but still the quality of the artist is supreme and we're so happy. I mean, it was very hard to, to choose the finalists that they are chosen from the listeners that they've been engaging with their interviews that have been live every day at 10 AM and 10 PM, and you can then vote for them by listening and sharing as much as you can from your favorite finalist from the category of Classical Opera and Crossover. We're gonna send the link to the SoundCloud of the podcast of their original, uh, interviews on the Women's Radio Station SoundCloud playlist. And share, share, share, share, share, and comment and love. And the winner will be announced in 2 weeks' time. First, we will start with the instrumentalist, and then the classical category. Then we will follow with the finalist of the opera, and the last but not least finalist from the crossover category. So the very, very, very, very first artist of today, I'm very pleased to announce, is classical guitarist Renata Arlotti with Ascensio from the Suite Valenciana for the Dance. Wow. And so this was Renata Arlotti from her latest album, Ascensio Suite Valenciana, The Third Dance. So Renata is our first classical guitarist finalist of Future Classic Women Awards. Next one from the classical category is the cellist Carina Giuri with Irlandiani from the album Irlandiani: Lorenzo Bocchi Allegro Sonata. Number 10, Intimature. How amazing! This was Carina Drury with Lorenzo Bocchi and musical entertainment from the Sonata No. 10 in D major from her album Irlandiani. Now the next finalist for the classical category is Russia. Viola soloist, uh, Hannah Kubenko. And here we are with our Isai Sonata No. 4, Allemande. How beautiful! And this was the Sonata No. 4 by Isai, the first movement, "Allemande," played by the fantastic viola soloist Hannah Gubenko. Now the next piece we're gonna listen to, it's Clara Schumann Concerto No. 2 performed by the brilliant Isabel Dubarro. And this was the brilliant Isabelle Jobarro. So Isabelle was our third finalist for the— actually fourth finalist for the classical category of Future Classical Women Awards. And now we go to the fantastic opera category, and the first finalist of today is Belinda Williams, mezzo-soprano, with the brilliant Tchaikovsky Letters. Scene. How beautiful! And this was Tatiana's Letter from Tchaikovsky, performed by our first finalist of the opera category, Belinda Williams. Now the next artist we're gonna listen to is the brilliant Chiara Angela with one of my favorite arias ever, and that's Sola perduta e abbandonata from Manon Lescaut. And this was "Sola perduta e abbandonata" from Manon Lescaut, performed by the brilliant soprano Chiara Angela. And this is what opera is about, opera, classical music, music in general. It's about letting your feelings run free. And how not to cry when listening to this incredibly moving aria? So beautiful. So Chiara Angella was our second finalist for the opera category of Future Classic Women Awards, third edition. Now our very third finalist. She is already a winner of the very first edition of Future Classical Women Awards, so she's back again on the third edition finalist, and that's Katerina Mina. It's a contemporary opera, and that was our brilliant finalist, Katerina Mina. Now the last finalist for the opera category is a wild card. She's not an opera singer, she's a stage director, brilliant, famous, fantastic Vivian Iwitt. And she was in our— the beginning of the third edition of Future Classical Women Awards, and we were talking about the beautiful strong women in in opera and the role models from feminists depicted by opera composers through the centuries. And the next song we're gonna listen is one of the tracks that she chose for her interview. And this is the fantastic, the most beautiful singer, opera soprano ever, and that's Maria Callas, legendary Maria Callas, performing La Mamma Morta. From Andrea Scini. Of course, she's not the finalist of Future Classic Women Awards. It is Vivienne Hewitt, the brilliant stage director who had this fantastic episode on Future Classic Women Awards dedicated to this strong women in opera, the strong character that represents the most beautiful objectives, if you want, attribute of femininity and women's strength. So fantastic. So now we pass to the crossover category. The very first singer that I'm pleased to introduce as the finalist of Pitch Classic Women Award is the brilliant and beautiful Aliki with Never Enough. Let it stay this way. Can't let this moment end. You set off a dream in me. Getting louder now. Can you hear it echoing? Take my hand, will you share this with me? Well, the next finalist of the third edition of Future Classic Men Awards, she was finalist before on our second edition. Um, let's see if she— who is gonna win this time. So it's a Ellen Williams with her latest single, and that's Danny Boy. The pipes, the pipes are calling from glen to glen and down the mountainside. The summer's gone and all the roses falling.
