Free Your Mind – Mimi Bland, Transform Your Mindset

Free Your Mind with LKJ·36:00·6 Mar 2023·

Episode Summary

Meet Mimi, a powerhouse mindset mentor and international speaker who transformed her own childhood trauma into a mission of empowerment. Born to parents from different cultural backgrounds, Mimi endured a cycle of abuse stemming from generational trauma – from her mother’s horrific experiences with nuns after losing her own mother at age 8, to Mimi’s own pattern of attracting abusive relationships that nearly led her to take her own life three times. Her raw and honest journey reveals how childhood programming from ages 0-7 creates subconscious patterns that dictate our entire adult lives, leading us to attract situations that mirror our deepest beliefs about our worth.

Now a bestselling author and high-level mentor to entrepreneurs, Mimi has discovered the profound connection between our emotional wounds and our vibrational frequency. She teaches that all healing work must happen internally, helping people bridge the gap between their programmed beliefs and their true spiritual identity. Through her unique ability to see people’s true potential and connect with them vibrationally, Mimi guides entrepreneurs to master the emotional rollercoaster of business and life, proving that our greatest traumas can become our most powerful tools for transformation and service to others.

Main Topics

  • Childhood imprinting from ages 0-7 creates core beliefs about worthiness and lovability that control our entire lives and the relationships we attract
  • Generational trauma is often unconsciously passed down from parent to child through patterns learned from their own childhood experiences and programming
  • Recognizing abusive patterns as 'normal' keeps us trapped because we don't know any different—knowledge and information about ourselves becomes the path to empowerment
  • Our vibration and frequency attract people who match our core beliefs; if we believe we're unworthy, we attract those who reinforce that belief
  • Self-love and understanding what true love feels like are essential steps to breaking cycles of abuse and beginning mindset transformation
  • Reprogramming deeply embedded belief systems requires patience, self-awareness, and often professional support to heal from trauma
  • Speaking our truth and using our voice for kindness and transformation is both a healing tool and a way to help others recognize their own worth

Hello and welcome to this week's edition of Free Your Mind, Let's Talk About It with LKJ. We have a phenomenal guest on the show today, somebody I know personally, and I see her impact and empowerment with her voice and how she transforms the mindset. For her, in the life of an entrepreneur, one of the main areas she says you need to master is your emotions. Excuse me. And it's specifically the emotional roller coaster. Mimi is a mindset mentor, a super dynamic lady who is an international speaker and a high-level mentor to entrepreneurs. She's a best-selling author of the book, The Formula to Master Your Mind and Emotions. Mimi has a gift. She has a gift of being able to identify and see the true inner qualities of people, which allows her to connect both spiritually and vibrationally with them to complement their personal mindset and achieve the challenging and changing transformations that shows her methods work. Mimi is also an ambassador and a board member of the UK team of the Shaun Fair Leadership Experience Tour, where she is helping myself as Ambassador-in-Chief and our other ambassadors to bridge the gap between the USA and the UK in bringing world-class leaders to use their voice for the voices to have empowerment, impact, and transform that mindset so that we use our words given to us, that we use in any language, we use the letters of the alphabet that are changed. As long as we use those words for kindness without harm and explanation of why we have to transform our mindset and any mental health in there. Mimi has kindly sponsored this show for her own brand, Helping People on Women's Radio Station, that donate those funds to helping people with mental health awareness, anxiety, menopause, different factors. And for me, at www.womensradiostation.com, we are honored and grateful for her doing so. So on that note, for the listeners, let's start the show and bring Mimi in. Hello, Mimi, and welcome to free your mind. Let's talk about it with LKJ. Hello, good morning, Lady Kendall Jagger. Thank you so much for having me on the show today. I'm really honored. No, it's a, it's a pleasure. Excuse my voice, you know, as people will know on what platform, sometimes our voice goes and the question we have to, you know, shake out and let it know that it is there for a reason. So apologies, it's that time of year when we've had all, you know, the Christmas celebrations, the laughter, that leaves an impact on our voice of the joy and the conspiracy of love that we shared. So Mimi, I do this in my show to get our listeners to resonate with you, who you are, by taking you back on your journey to explain to the listener may be tuning in now to hear how you use your voice to transform the mindset. Can you tell us a little bit? Let's go right back to your children, you know, your childhood, where you was born, how many people were you, religion, culture. Can we start back there and hand the mic over to you to start this incredible show we have for the listeners today with yourself? Yeah, of course. So, um, my mother was a Catholic and my father was a Christian, and my mother was born in Spain and my father was born in Saint Lucia, and, um, they met each other in London. They were both working in the same hospital and fell in love, and they were married very quickly. Um, they had a very, very hard life. The money in those days obviously was very, very tight, and they really struggled, but but we always had the most beautiful clothes. My mother was a dressmaker as well, and she used to make all our clothes handmade. And they just worked very hard, the two of them, to give us a decent living, a decent lifestyle. We then, we moved from London sort of when I was young, and we moved down into Slough area, and that's where we remained. And my parents still live there to passed away a few years ago. But, um, we had a very strict upbringing. Um, but you know, when, when we talk about childhood, one thing I, I'm very much aware of now, not then as much, but you know, our parents are doing the very best job that they can with the knowledge and information that they have at that time. So they— we can only run our lives and make decisions, and sometimes our actions are only in accordance to what we've had done to us, or to the programming and the belief systems that have been instilled in us since early childhood. So my mother had lost her own mother when she was 8 years old, and she was so traumatized that my mother went blind for a year, and she wouldn't eat, or she couldn't see, um, and nobody would tell her what had happened to her mother. So she always thought that her mother had left her because she was a bad person or bad little girl. And then on top of that, she put in to live with the nuns because, um, the, um, her father couldn't obviously look after her and the sister went to aunties. So she always felt that she'd been punished, and she wasn't. He'd done that for the best intentions. But the nuns abused my mother terribly badly. She used to wet the bed and they used to beat her, and they'd done some horrific things to her, um, and really programmed her from such a young age that she was really worthless and that she was a bad person. So growing up, um, I started wetting the bed at a very, very young age. And I had very similar treatment. So I was always told that I was dirty and disgusting and would have the sheets wrapped around me because again, it, you know, it sounds terrible, but at that time they were both very stressed. They both had to go to work. There was no money coming into the house, and it was another added, um, a problem that they didn't need in the mornings, you know. So, um, and again, it was out of just, um, I was, I was always loved, but it was more out of ignorance. So the, the childhood imprinting that I had, even though I had very loving imprinting, was one very much full of fear. I always felt very unworthy, and it was more of a seen and not be heard, and that women's places were really to, to be seen, to, to be more subservient to a man, and that was sort of like more the upbringing. So leaving home Eventually, when I did leave, I was, um, obviously, you know, we, we run our whole lives by, uh, the programs that are embedded in us from naught to seven. So my program was that I was unworthy, I was unlovable, and I could never do anything right. Um, so I would, if I went into a room where there was 5,000 men, I would immediately attract the one that would reject me or make me feel unworthy because that's the, uh, that was the frequency, the vibration that I was emitting out. Not that I knew that at that time, in, you know, that time, at that time, sorry. Um, so, um, that's how that whole start, the whole program started. And then from there, I just used to fall into very abusive relationships, um, and they were very abusive. I used to be locked into, um, a room with a baby's potty because I was too disgusting to be seen, um, beaten, um, lots of horrific had happened to me. But at that time, um, I really thought that it was because I was a bad person and that I was unworthy, that I in some form, um, deserved it. And it wasn't until I sort of like later on realized about the power of our mindset and how these beliefs really do dictate and control our entire lives, um, that I really did go in and reprogram myself. Incredible. So when we— for the listeners, and then when we just, you know, go back over the trauma that Mimi suffered, when we look at patterns that happen in our childhood, yes, as a psychologist, mental health advocates, or certified, when we're looking back and we're, we're trying to deal with the mindset I think, you know, what makes you feel that you're not enough? The pattern. And one of these things that, you know, as a Catholic myself, going to Catholic school like yourself, Mimi, your mum, and with the nuns, we hear so many stories about cruelty from nuns. These are— these are God's angels, as I was brought up to believe, that, you know, they dedicated their life to God. They were there to serve the hands of the Lord, to teach you the teachings of him, the gospel, etc., through that. Not to lay hands, not to inflict cruelty on, because that trauma will stay in us. It stays in ourselves, you know, and it's how we deal with that mindset going through, you know. But for your mother, at the age of 8 years of age, to go blind through trauma. And you know, when we look at different messages in our life journey and we go by the teachings of our Lord— I believe that everyone has their own religious views, and this is an unbiased and unjudgmental show— but to go blind is not to see the pain that was inflicted on her. She felt it, and by doing that, she was feeling pain to know what true love was. She, you know, being pushed around, and then to meeting your father. She knew that was love because she knew the difference between love and pain by what happened to her. But what happened is, through that, that was what she was taught. And so when she had you as your child, to then— Rocky with the potting thing, that's dirty. Now you've caused me this. We've got to get to work. I'm going to be late. That's dirty because she did it herself. And herself, she was pushing that blame onto you because she was becoming— and she actually, in her own transition, became the nun in her beliefs and what it was. And this is what you do. What happened is with yourself, you went out and you were wearing this light above you that attracted the narcissist. And the narcissist knows who to prey on. How he first would say how wonderful and beautiful, then he would cause you mental abuse, then on to physical abuse, and then say it was your fault to come out and going in. And then what happened is, I mean, you formed a situation where it was better, where you felt safer to have that treatment than to walk the other side I said, no, this is enough. Until at one point, your vulnerability and the hurt and pain was no more. You needed to know that you'd been inflicted so much pain from a small child growing up that it was time that you, you know, you'd had all this pleasure, that when you knew when love was given to you, that love would be real. You would understand love. So in that, your mindset changed. You understood the right from the wrong, the truth from the false, the beating against the buttering up, and how that would do to change and walk in your own footsteps. Because that day you went, no, no, I mean, I think it took very long— I think it took me a long time to get to that point, you know. And when we talk, obviously we make it sound so easy, but sort of like through that trauma at a very young age, you know, I tried to take my own life 3 times because I could never understand. You know, we only know what we know. That's why I think knowledge and information is power, because knowledge and information about ourselves is self-empowerment. But at that time— and that's why, you know, you— I can relate to so many people that are going through this— you don't know any different. And people used to say to me, what is wrong with you? Why would you allow someone to do that? And I'd be like, allow them to do what? Because to me, that was normal. And that's what people have to understand. It becomes normal to us. So when the pain gets too great, because you cannot comprehend what you're doing wrong to make these people not love you, that, that's when you decide that it's easier for you to go to sleep than to carry on with it, because you don't know how to change it. So, you know, I don't think I ever found love, to be honest, not in that way. It wasn't until I gave birth to my own children that I really understood what that feeling of love really was, because I could— I never really found it within myself. And I, I went on after I left the abusive relationships to abuse myself for 10 years, because it was like you said, it was so comfortable. It was a pattern within me that, you know, I needed it. And it was only after studying for so many years that I understood that it wasn't actually our minds that are in control to a degree, it's our bodies. Our bodies crave that emotion, that emotion that we felt as a child. We're continuously looking for it, or looking looking for someone to replace it. And that's why we go wrong, because we're always looking for love in the wrong places, or we pick the people that are going to really reflect these beliefs that we hold on to about ourselves. And then we get disappointed that these relationships, they let us down, or they don't last, or we sabotage them ourselves because internally we don't feel worthy of ever receiving the things that we actually want to have in life. So that's why the, you know, the, the all is never external. All the work is always within ourselves. And, you know, I think throughout this life process, I, I had a vision when I was 4 years old, and I used to have it throughout the whole of my life. And I was always told that I had a mission here to, um, to fulfill, and I could never understand it at that time. And now I understand that everything that happens to us is happening through us, but it's happening to help us to awaken to our true identity, our true self. And that's, you know, that obviously that's moving on a little bit too far, but there is a reason why we go through this stuff, and it's never to hurt and harm us. It's actually to help us to awaken to the true in-depth— within the true power. There's a power and a presence that, that dwells within each and every one of us, but it's about us learning to tap into that and resurrecting that spark within us, because the programming, the beliefs, the, the world that we're living in at the moment is formed with such negativity that is keeping us imprisoned in a life that is in complete disharmony to who we truly are. That's why so many of us feel depressed, anxiety, and all these negative emotions, because there's two parts of us. And the part of us— the— well, I'd say like the physical part of us is just living each day, but the spiritual part knows who we are. It knows that we deserve the very best. It knows that we're worthy. So the two are always in conflict. So my teachings is helping people to bridge those gaps, to let go and to release all those beliefs, all those negative programming, so that you can free yourself and you can live an abundant, happy, loving life. And that's why we were created. Absolutely. That was, you know, a fantastic explanation on, you know, where you were saying when you actually came to that point where you knew love with having a child and obviously going through that. So in the current situation, you know, and it's so amazing of you and to express to the listeners how you tried to commit suicide 3 times. As everybody knows, myself, I went through that through bullying, epilepsy stuff, And people question you, say, selfish, why would you do it? But the pain gets so bad, like you said, you just want to go to sleep. And you deal with that. And now you walk. And because of that, like myself, you walk in pure mental health adversary shoes that have been fitted to us like a glove to express how you get out of that, why we need transformational coaches in ourselves. We need that person every day, because every day we face those challenges. And something that you do, do you offer, Mimi, amongst all other areas and field that you, you have the knowledge in, is you offer a, um, a package, don't you, to do this transformation, to help you to get through. I'm like yourself, When people go, and we have seen it, you know, in people training, that with everything, when you've gone through, you truly can look in their eyes and understand that pain because you felt it. So I believe, even myself, with that connection, even with your voice, that when we are connected like that, you don't need to be in a chair with someone. You can be at home and hear your voice and how to get it through. Because it is that voice in our head we have to work with to make ourselves feel enough, to make our heart feel that it's beating for the right reason, that our body isn't going to remain weak, that we're going to stand up to these challenges but take the lesson. So can you just explain, Mimi, to the listener what your transformational brand is and your packages are about? Yes, of course. So for me, Um, I always— my mission and my vision is always— was always to eliminate pain and suffering in the world. And then I understood that all pain and suffering comes from within ourselves because we are the cause of our pain and suffering. And when I— when I say that, I mean it's the meaning that we give to everything. So we have these life experiences, and, you know, really it's— it's through the circumstances of being a young child. And, you know, if we look at our life We, we have 50% of us is 25% of our mother, 25% of our father. So whatever they felt, whatever their worst fears were, we carry those with inside of ourselves. And then we have 50% of our own choice. But those mental programs that our subconscious mind is just a computer that is fixed with all those beliefs, all those limitations that we felt, we saw, and as a child we absorbed, and that cannot be changed just by positive thinking. So our conscious mind is where we have all our wishes and our hopes and our desires, but the conscious mind and the subconscious mind are always working in disharmony with each other. So if you have a sickness or an illness and you're telling yourself, I'm going to be healed, I'm going to be healed, or, or I'm going to be rich, it will never get through to the computer because it's there. If you had seen your parents telling you that if you were sick you had to have a doctor to fix you, or whatever you heard about illnesses as a child, or whatever you heard about finances as a child, that's in that recording. So you have to go in and re-record. You have to go into that system to be able to align those— the conscious mind and the subconscious mind— so they're working in perfect harmony for you. So one of the things that I do is I teach self-mastery. And self-mastery is so important. It's the ability to think on purpose, because our thoughts are creating every single part of our life. And people don't believe it. They think it's hocus pocus, but it's not. And our words, our words of what we're speaking over ourselves is prophesizing the things that we draw into our life. So for me, I like to go into the basics, the foundation. I like to teach people who we are on a spiritual level, how we have created our life experiences, so they have some understanding, so we can take responsibility for the parts of us that are creating. And most of the time, we're creating on a subconscious level, meaning we have no comprehension why things are happening to us, why we're attracted these people, why these situations keep reoccurring. But once you understand the process, then you can start taking full responsibility and control. So instead of responding to the external world, you are now fully in control of the internal world, which means that then the external will have to become a reflection of the internal changes. So it's really important each and every one of us learns to master ourselves so we stop reacting from these negative programs that are within us, and also to the negativity that's being fed to us in the world to keep us powerless, to keep us, um, victims. So it's really important because when you do learn the skill of self-mastery, it doesn't matter what is happening around you— what illnesses, what diseases, what poverty, whatever's happening on the external world— you know, as a powerful creator, all you have to do is to go within and change that program, and you can then have a completely different experience to what everyone else is experiencing. So that's something, and I think it's our right for every single person in the world to start mastering themselves, that we can really bring back peace, love, and harmony into this world. Absolutely, absolutely. And Mimi, how long does this process take, or is it on, you have a discovery call with that person, you know, um, 30 minutes or 15 minutes, which is free. Do you offer something like that? Yeah, I do. All my, all my, um, discovery calls are all free because it has to be a perfect match as well. And the thing is, like, some people don't want to change, and I'm not saying that to be disrespectful, but some people need their stories, they need what's happening in their life to give them validation of why they feel so bad, that they are actually a bad person, and that, you know, there is no wrong and rights in, in life. Like, everyone's on their journey, and this journey, I believe, is about us awakening to ourselves. But if you're not ready to awaken, if you need to stay the way you are for whatever reason, there's no shame in that either. That's what you've come here to learn. We're all here to learn and to awaken to aspects of ourselves. But I think it's really important, like, for me I like to get rid of all labels. Um, I don't like labels at all. So I don't like— um, I know that we have labels to define certain characteristics and behaviors, but I don't think there is— I don't like the words like narcissist, or I don't like the words ADHD and any of these things. For me, every single person in the world is just deprived of love in some form in their childhood, or the meaning they've given to anything in life. They have just been deprived of feeling good and of the loving connection within themselves and with God the universe. And I have worked with people that have, that have been told that they could never be cured, that they will never change their mindsets, they're completely psychotic. And just by even one session, I've given them— just holding them in that energy, because everything is vibration and energy— they've changed and transformed. Some people longer. So it all depends on ourselves, because we are the only one that are going to allow us to let go of what's holding us from our true selves. That can happen instantaneously. Or it can happen over a matter of weeks, sometimes months, because it all depends on how tightly we need to hold on to our stories and the meaning that we've given to everything. Yes, again, as you can see, if you're the person at home listening to the strength in the vocal cords of Mimi's voice, where the stability is there even in the explanation to actually sit yourself down and say, okay, as Mimi said in the discovery call, you may not fit. Not everybody fits. As you said, it's not wrong or right if you want to stay in that position. For the people that you have changed, on average, how long does it take maybe 3 sessions or 8, or is it just— is it actually solely built on you? Because a lot of people have these platforms where they say, I want to coach you, take 8 weeks to do that. But do you— I think in your actual branding, you do the discovery call, you then understand the mindset, and through that you work through and say, Roughly, this is how long it would do it. Yes. So for me, like, when I speak to somebody, I can hear— I have a gift of a hear. We all have like different gifts, and mine is hearing. So I can hear where they're keeping themselves stuck, what program it is that has been compounded and embedded within them that's causing their issues. So I can say to them, listen, I think you might just need a 3-hour session where we're just literally showing, we're bringing to the surface what it is and where you need to go to. And I get a lot of clients like that, a lot of clients that are, um, you know, they've made their money or they're, they're in a certain position, but there's— they've got a blockage somewhere. Um, it might— or it could be somebody else that has a lot of emotional issues and they really do need more hand-holding, but more in-depth explanation, and it's going to take them time. Some of those people might take a 4-week package, and there's others that take an 8-week package only because they don't need the hand— I don't do weekly sessions. I make them go away and do the work. You have to do the work, and you have to start implementing, because that's the hardest part. When you're working and when you hear things, you can have an instant change in your energy and you can feel great, but then you have to go back to your own life, and you have to go back to the people that you see that trigger you every day, the environments that are contributing to that illness or to the to whatever you're, um, living at that time. So you have to do the program. Like I said, mindset and self-mastery is not positive thinking. It's a practice, it's a discipline and a commitment, and you have to do the work every single day to enable yourself to get a very rigid platform, a discipline, a routine, so that your mind and your emotions are now working in complete alignment with yourself. So some people can get it immediately. I worked with a lady, no names given, who had— she tried to commit suicide, I think it was 8 times. Something had happened where they'd opened up a pedophile ring, brought back some horrendous memories that she'd hidden from a child, and she didn't want to be here anymore. She completely decided she could not live with the stuff that was going on in her head, and I was asked to go and see her She didn't want to see me. Eventually she agreed to speak to me just because I said that God had given me a message to speak to her. Once I'd given it to her, I would leave and she'd never have to see me again. I sat with her on her— on the floor of her room, I think, for 3 hours. And in those 3 hours, she completely transformed her whole life and went on to become a life coach in that one session. So all I'm saying, there is no one fit for everybody. Everybody is different. Some people need more, some people need less. But when I do work with people, I'm 100% honest because I'm not about taking people's money. I'm about transformation and change, and I want them to get that change as quickly as possible. And that's like you said, Lady Kendall, if not with me, maybe I might be in a position where they can't hear me or they can't resonate with me, but then they'll need somebody else that's where they are and that they can understand them at that time. That's why we're all, we're all part of, or we're all here to help each other, but we might just be the wrong fit for where that person is at that time, and they may need somebody else for where they are in their life at that moment. Yes, because, you know, that is your mission. This Mimi Bland is the mission. 100%. My mission is to— I really, really want to educate people with knowledge and information so that we can take our power back, so that we can eliminate all medication. And plus, you know, I know it's a mindset, I know it's a belief system that we have been, and we have really been um, under a covenant of false lies, fear-based beliefs that are keeping us from connecting to our true authentic inner beings, where all our power is, where all our knowledge, all our wisdom, all our guidance— it's within us. It's laying dormant, waiting for us to resurrect it. And I know it's a massive mission, and it's going to take a lot of hand-holding because people are so— as you know, we die for our beliefs. If somebody says you know, well, if you just change that. And I had someone I spoke to this week, and that is an absolute crock of shit. Like, you know, we cannot heal ourselves, we cannot do the things you're saying. But one thing I say is what I teach, I, I live by because I've done it myself. So when I was bulimic, I was 10 years bulimia, I literally was killing my body. I'd shut down 80% of my organs, was starting to fail. I was sick 5 times a day, and I literally I hid it from my, my family. I used to wear really baggy clothes, but I could feel my own life force leaving my body. I learned some things through the Bible. I learned some things through spiritual practices of how we can call in, how we have this power within us. And I called it in, and within 2 days, bulimia had left my body without a trace for good. Um, so when I teach, I teach from a place of knowing. I know because I've done this on myself. So I'm— so anyone can come and say to me, this stuff doesn't work. I got rid of fibroids, I got rid of all the stuff that I had within me, and that was, um, part of my life, completely transformed it just by the power of my mind, my emotions, and how I learned to visualize and how I learned to call in the things I wanted and to reject the things that I no longer wanted. So I'm very passionate about that. Yes, and that is, um, a statement I just want to, uh, you know, just pull and really highlighting it, that Mimi's mission is the purpose, it is the vision, it is to consciously awaken humanity to their true authentic self, breaking the bondage of their mental conditioning and setting themselves free so they can become limitless and the master of their lives and create a life of peace and happiness. But you also try with this mindset that you have, and in transformation, you also help ambitious people to create radical life transformations so they too can lead the most happiest and fulfilled lives, in which, where you quote, where your dreams become a reality. New mindset, new life, new you. So with 2023 being a new year, how many of you have started or have you brought the old you still into the new year? You remember ringing out that bell saying, "Happy New Year, I'm going to do this." How long did it last? Are you still on that path? What are you doing? But, you know, so when we look at Mimi, that's experienced her bulimia for 10 years, you're hiding it, and again hiding the pain, the pressure. You know, you've also highly educated in the experience and in the field of coaching, transformation, and the conscious awakening, and you, by personally overcoming your own obstacles in life, which I truly believe if you walked in mental health, which a lot of us have, you would understand it a lot better, if somebody's going through it. But now, when we look at these amazing pictures, I mean, he's absolutely stunning, you know, and stunning both inner and outer in her mental health. You have a lot of passion, you love walking in nature, you love to read, you study, and congratulations, You became a TV presenter, you certified in that with higher distinction, because when you commit your mind to something, even getting that higher distinction shows that you have the power and strength in that mind, you control it. You believe in the spirituality of the world. Are you a spiritualist? I don't believe in religion as much, you know, I respect everybody's choice. But I do believe in— when we say spiritualist, I do believe that, you know, that we are spiritual beings having a very human experience. And, you know, that's not just through reading, you know. As, as we know, like, words don't teach. It's life experiences that teaches us. And the reason I love walking in nature, because when we're in nature or by the sea, that's part of who we are. It's that calmness, it's that calming that mind, it's stopping that analytical mind that's constantly talking to you, firing them all this rubbish. If you stop and listen to your mind, I call it the great deceiver. It lies to you every minute of the day, telling you that you can't do this, you, you're unworthy. But when you really go back to meditation, and meditation just means to know thyself, it just means to know what's running through your mind, the emotions that you constantly feel, so that you can really bring yourself back to a place of peace, love, and harmony within yourself. And then, as you said, with exams and things, if if you program yourself that you know you're going to succeed, because, um, it's, it's— we're actually always putting out into the world what we feel inside of us. So if you're feeling whole and complete, if you're feeling loved, and if you're feeling beautiful, because that's who we are, then life is going to be a reflection of what you have with inside ourselves. So it's very important for people to disconnect so that they can reconnect from a place of power and strength. And I think too many of us are so obsessed with social media or so obsessed with too much learning, but really we know one thing and that one thing should be able to enable us to transform and change, but we're always looking for the next best thing. There has to be more, there has to be more, and sometimes it confuses us to a point where we're actually learning nothing and we're not implementing anything either. No, exactly like you're saying. With the training, like for myself, I believe in the power of knowledge and training, you know, so I may go 8 months and then think, I need to refresh, keep the brain and the muscle watered, but not in an obsessive way. People, when they start looking at your CVs, what you're doing, there's over time, look at dates and what you're doing, when you need to put yourself in. I talked about the automobile mindset in what challenges us, what pushes us, which is our strength, the power that we need, resilience in that. And like the spark plugs, you know, they need cleaning on our cars to get us around. The same as we need to work on our mindset. We have to look at the wellness and having somebody like yourself that's there and that person working with somebody to help them transform. But you've got to be ready to step up to that podium. Do you believe— otherwise it's not going to work. You have to— yeah, you do. Do I step up to the podium? How do I know if I'm ready? That's where your discovery call will come with you, where you will know. Yeah, 100%. And I think, you know, how we know that if we're ready or not is how much pain are you in. You know, when we have a program that's working for us, the programs mean— just mean that we're, we're happy and that life is flowing lovely for us. When we have programs that are working against us, means that in some areas we're carrying pain, suffering. Things aren't working for us. The jobs aren't coming. The, the relationships we're having are painful. The money that we want is not flowing into our lives because there's something that we're sabotaging ourselves from a program that's within us. So all it is really is like, how much, you know, are we— how much pain are we going to allow ourselves to have? Because we don't have to carry pain. That pain isn't part of— it's part of the journey, And, and there is no good or bad. And the reason why I say that is because everything is to help us to really reflect on what we want. So if you're in a painful relationship, what does a loving relationship feel like? What do you actually want from a relationship? I want to be treated with love and respect. I want to be honored. I want to have somebody who, you know, who wants to be with me. So everything's for clarity. If you have no money, well, why do you want money? What do you— what's the reason behind it? Well, I want to have freedom. I want to have choices. I want So I look at, you know, when I speak with people, nobody really knows what they want. They'll say, I just want to be happy. But what does happiness look like to you? What does it feel like? You have to know, because how can you attain anything if you don't know what it is? So that's why vision is so important, imagination, building up that picture of what you want so that you can see it and you can step forward to attaining it. Absolutely. So when you're saying, and in that explanation you've done in there, Are there certain categories in your formula, your methods that do work? Maybe it's been seen in the testimonials, etc., what you're doing. Like for grief, would you— is it just one type, or you deal with all aspects of the brain and the mental health area to challenge it, to break it free, and to set it free to become the best version of yourself. Yeah, most totally. Um, definitely, it's, you know, I don't look at, um, any aspect as an individual aspect. All I do is I work on the self because everything's coming from ourself. It doesn't matter what it is— is it pain, if it's a death that we're trying to get over, if it's a lack of, um, you know, finances— whatever it is, everything's coming from us. So when we're just working with our own mindset. And when we say mindset, it's just the thoughts that we're entertaining, the thoughts that we're believing. You know, all thoughts, all beliefs are just thoughts that have been compounded over the years, and we've thought about them and thought about them so much that they've turned into a fixed belief, which means then that that's the vibration, the frequency that you keep emitting. So if everything— if we're like a radio station anyone on that wavelength, any situation on that wavelength is going to come back into our reality. So when we change what we're outputting, we would then start bringing in different experiences. So every single thing has to be about us. It doesn't matter if you've got problems with a boss, if you've got problems in a relationship, it doesn't matter if you're being beaten and abused. And I don't mean that disrespectfully because I used to be, until I understood that to stop trying to change the people or the circumstances. All I had to do was to go within and to change the internal. And people would say, well, how can you change someone if you're being beaten and you're being locked up every single day? How's that going to change? But it does. If you looked at, um, was it Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, when he was in a concentration camp, he knew that he was one of the only survivors. Why? Because he built a vision and a picture of himself completely somewhere else, living a different life. So life will respond to the visions, the imagination, because it's all vibration, it's all energy. You change your energy, your life will completely change. Yes, and the energy that we do give out, and we, we know immediately, um, if your body can resonate with negativity, or if you're especially in the positive mindset, that I know myself, really, I can't accept negativity, it totally unbalances me very rapidly, sends my head into a spin. I'm like, whoa, this is like, what? And I've become a little disorientated with it. But we also, when we're in positivity, we also have to watch how much of that we are taking in at once to absorb it so it stays rather than it being expelled out and wasted. Wasted. Yeah, definitely, because we're given 100% energy every single day. But like an energy, and like if you could imagine a checkbook with 100% energy that you're given, where are you, um, spending your energy that is not going to be fulfilling your life or going to— it's not going to enhance your life? The gossiping of people, or the, you know, focusing on, on all the bad elements of Oh no, you know, looking at what people have done you wrong, that is all energy that you're utilizing and wasting rather than focusing that energy on what you want, on where you are right now. Because every single thing that's happening in your life is only a vibrational, um, interpretation of what you've been focusing on, where you've been focusing, thinking, and talking. So you can at any moment break that program, break that cycle, and start focusing and talking about what you do want, and then your life will start changing. But nothing changes in people's life, even though they say, God, I've gone to therapy for 20 years, I've been doing this for so many years, because you're always talking about the same thing. And they say that talking is good because it helps you to get it out of you. But of course it does. But you're— all you're doing, if everything's vibrational, all you're doing is perpetuating the very problem that you don't want anymore. So you're actually keeping yourself stuck in the same program and in the same pattern. So the secret is is to create a new program, to create a new vision with your imagination, and to start walking and talking and stepping into that person. So the old you becomes obsolete. The old you no longer can remain because all your neuro connections and all your emotions and all those pathways connected to the old person is no longer you. So when you look back, and you, you look back because your memory never goes, but you don't have those triggers, you don't have those emotional anymore. It's just a memory without an emotion that's attached to it, because your, your new emotions are attached to a new life. And that's what, that's what I do with people as well, is to help them walk as a whole new person, to leave the old person and to recreate yourself in the image and likeness of who, you know, who we truly are. And that's love, and that's all the wonderful things that you want to experience. But that's not being a Pollyanna lifestyle, because Because of course we're going to have ups and downs. We're living in a world that's going to— we're going to see things and we're going to, um, you know, there's going to be things that we hear that's going to upset us. But it's about learning to reset yourself again. It's about whatever's happening externally, you have the tools and you have the ability to go within and to reset yourself very quickly. So instead of it— you, um, having a reaction to something and it could take you weeks, months, years, which then turns into a personality trait state where you're always angry or you're always feeling unworthy, you can then change it within a week, a day, an hour to bring yourself back into alignment again. And that's so important. Absolutely. Because we— a thought is just a thought that lasts for 3 seconds. But when someone's, you know, going from acute trauma into complex, um, trauma, you know, that time is where we would look at the brain, our computer, our master key that functions, you know, to make all the mechanics of our body work. And using a quantum upshift mindset and using, um, for me, the atom is in that point, is sometimes like the computer, a rebooting and rebalancing. Is it enough? Sometimes we have to remove the motherboard. Yeah, because it's so burnt out, you know, and there's certain areas where it will stop at that point. It's— you've gone in, you've gone through, but to remove it because you can't move forward is to change the motherboard and the way of thinking, you know. Um, and, um, with that You can learn to breathe. When people have a new heart, a heart, you know, we see people that have open heart surgery, the heart has had so, you know, for its reasons, been removed and people have a new heart in them. Again, with our brain, it's an invisible way of removing the motherboard and replacing it with a transformational motherboard to go forward. And reprogram that with the right mentality. Yeah, and I think some people, you know, we become addicted to living a life that we don't actually want to live because it's the emotions that are embedded in us that are hardwired, that are like a drug. They— we have to feel them, we have to have them. So we search out, we actually search out the people and situations that help us to feel those emotions because even though subconsciously we might not want want to, um, subconsciously— sorry, we might not want to— subconsciously they're programmed in us and we need them like a drug to keep us going. But I really believe that our body is a communication system. Our emotions have been given to us to guide us. We just don't know how to operate them. They're like a sat navigation in a car, and they're constantly telling you when you feel unhappy, when you feel heartbroken, they're telling you that something isn't right. You're thinking about something isn't right. You know, I believe, like, you know, and I watched this with my own when she was passing away. I really observed the whole process of death, and I realized how we talk to ourselves, that we shut our own organs down, and how through a lack of love— I mean, my mother was told that my sister died when she was a baby because she was a bad person, that God was punishing her, by the Catholic Church. And I saw how the pain in her heart had become so big that she couldn't live with it. The, the hospital had told her had a muscle that was so big that was suffocating herself. They hadn't seen anyone else in the world like it. There was nothing they could do. I knew that was a load of rubbish. I knew my mother was so heartbroken that— because our body is always responding to ourselves. So like heart attacks, a lack of love, um, headaches, anxiety, um, overthinking things, problems with our feet is about walking forward. If we can look at ourselves in that way then we can— there's nothing that we can't change about our own body because we can go in and send new signals. Because every thought, every feeling is communicating with your cells, and they are telling our bodies to repair, repair, to go into flight, right, to go into survival mode. So we are so much more powerful than what we really do know. We've never been taught how to utilize the power that lies within Yes, yeah. When we look at that, again, a fantastic explanation for the listeners at home understanding, you know, that theory. You do have, Mimi, some books that are out, haven't you? Can you tell the listeners how they can get this book, how they can read about you and understand if they need even more, um, reasons why to connect to such an amazing, incredible speaker like yourself. Can you tell us a little bit about the books and where they can be found? Yeah, so I wrote, um, last year, uh, The Answer Is You: The Formula to Master Your Mind and Emotions, and it's a very keep it simple book. It's very simple, so anyone that could pick it up, even a child. Could understand the process from the morning when we wake up and we open the fridge and the milk falls out and it causes us to create, um, you know, a bad feeling inside of us. Then you go out and you get stuck in traffic, and it's just really to show the whole process from start to finish. It also explains about your conscious and unconscious mind, but it gives you your own toolkit to be able to dip in and to be able to go in there. So if you're feeling bad Okay, how to acknowledge that feeling, because we're always trying to resist the feelings. The feelings are there to indicate, so it's about allowing the feeling to be there, but to breathe and allow it just to flow through us, but also to have tools. So if you're feeling negative at any point, or you want to change your state, find a piece of music, go for a walk. There's a tool bag that we can utilize and build for ourselves, but it has to be personal to us that can change the way we're feeling in that moment, because our whole job is still good, and for us to bring ourselves back into alignment. So the book I wrote last year, um, is to enable people to, to be able to do that— how to change your self-image, how you think about yourself. Because if you don't feel worthy, if you don't feel worthy about yourself, you won't feel worthy to be loved, you won't feel worthy to receive money, you won't feel worthy within anything. Because when we feel, um, unworthy We're basically putting out to the universe that we don't deserve to be loved, we don't deserve to have nice things. So we really need to change the way we see ourselves. So there's a chapter in there about that, which I think is very, very important. And then, um, the last few chapters are really about the whole of who we are and, you know, how we can really create an impact. Um, because it's not just for ourselves. We have to— we have to remember that when we change ourselves, we're also changing our family. We also change the DNA that's running through our family and our our family, um, karma and the family trees and everything else that's going out. We're stopping the process of what maybe has been coming through for generations. We're stopping it with us. So we're giving our children, our grandchildren, and our future, um, people a completely different way of thinking, a different life. And also, if we're all one person, like in humanity, we're all part of a whole. So when one person changes, we're actually helping to heal the whole of humanity. And it's so important for us all to take responsibility in life to do that. Yeah, I am. Sorry, I think I lost you there for a moment. Yeah, just wanted to get that bit on there. I think we just had a sudden break in there, so apologies to the listener. How long was we out for? I think it was for about 4 minutes. 4 minutes. So apologies for those 4 minutes that went blank there for people. Sometimes that's obviously for the power, everyone could take that in. And I was listening on there, I was like waiting to see what's happening on there. So we've spoken about the book, so I hope everybody got everyone the book. Can you just repeat the book on Amazon just again, just in case, for that small glitch? The weather and the storms here are really bad at the sea, so sometimes that can cause it. But it is a true live recording and we are our authentic selves, so we're doing that. So yeah, just say that again about that. That, Mimi, if you would? Yeah, so the, the book is called The Answer Is You: The Formula to Master Your Mind and Emotions by Mimi Bland. It's on Amazon, but it's also available on my website, which is, uh, mimibland.london. So you can find it on there. And I've also got a journal if people just want a journal. Um, but yeah, and there's an online course on there as well. So again, that's how people can reach out. And any other social media sites that you may be on? Yeah, on LinkedIn it's Mimi Bland, and on Instagram it's mimibland.london. So how do you spell Mimi? So Mimi is M-I-M-I, Bland, B-L-A-N-D, dot London. Incredible, wonderful. Now Mimi, is there a message that you would like to leave the listeners with? Yeah, I would just like to say to everybody that, you know, we only have this one life experience. And even though sometimes life can get us down and sometimes we don't understand the process of life or why things happen, I think it's really imperative and important for us to understand that, you know, um, just because we have these beliefs, um, it doesn't mean they're true. And just because we have these thoughts in our head, we don't have to believe and accept accept everything that we, that we think and that we feel. We have the ability to reject what isn't in alignment. What's— and what I mean alignment, what isn't making us happy. So all I'd say to them is like, your life can change today regardless of where you are, regardless of the situation, regardless of what anyone's ever told you. Nobody can prophesize your life, only you. And only you can decide the seeds that you plant inside your mind So even if somebody says to you that you've got an ultimatum or you've got a month to live or you've got, you know, you've got finances or whatever, nobody can prophesize your life. And I really want to really reiterate that. It's so important. You have the power and the intelligence within you to guide and to take your life from wherever it is now and transform it. And I mean that with all my heart. So anyone that needs help with that, please reach out and speak to me, and I know I definitely would love to help you. Yes, thank you, Mimi, so much again for your contribution to Women's Radio Station, to our listeners who I'm sure have been empowered by your messages and your honesty, your authenticity throughout that, even to that last message. I do hope that listener reaches out to connect to Mimi because she stands now in her own voice. She is enough. She is not worthless. Her voice will transform your mindset as you've seen today, even to the fact that she on the radio waves. When we were talking about radio waves and frequency, she silenced the radio waves just for that short period of time so that when we were listening, we'd be thinking what was coming next. We always believe things happen for a reason. I'm a great believer of that. I hope that the voice of Mimi and this interview has left you, if you're that person at home that has problems with eating disorders, where you're punishing yourself, relieving the pressure of pain, you can reach out and know that by reaching out to Mimi Bland, she's walked in those shoes, she can help you. If you're feeling that there is no way forward and you just want to go to sleep and never wake up, No, you're here for a reason. And sometimes we have so much that we collect on our journey of life that it can overflow, like the cup or the basket, that sometimes it just is too much to take. So we have to use the voice and the voice of something that can transform your mindset, like Mimi expressed when she sat on that floor for 3 hours when that lady tried to attempt to take her life 8 times. She transformed that mindset to now that person is a coach themselves, has pulled themselves off the floor and said, hey, I I am enough. I am here. What is my reason for emptying that basket or that cup and placing it, and perhaps having a new motherboard that we can use all that energy, vibrational wave that we need, is let's stand together, let's reach out the invisible hand to connect and free our minds and walk with purpose, work with a mission. And thank you all for this week's show of Free Your Mind with LKJ.
