Hello and welcome to this week's edition of Free Your Mind. Let's talk about it. As everybody knows, it is Mental Health Month and mental health awareness is very real. We are at www.womensradiostation.com dedicated to mental health and helping individual people. I am Lady Kendall Jagger. Known as LKJ, and my show is Free Your Mind, Let's Talk About It. Today I have the absolute honor to have a guest radio presenter with me. Her name is Dr. Emwood, and she is over from the United States and is conducting these next, um, interviews that will be coming out, um, with people that I met at the Let Tour, which is the Sean Fair Leadership Tour in America, and we are bridging the gap and bringing these wonderful people that I have personally met whose voices do matter. There is real passion, they have a real story. So the interview today will be conducted by both myself and the wonderful Dr. Rhonda Wood. Our guest today is so empowering. I know every listener in the UK will immediately connect with this wonderful human being who I met in June when I did the LED tour. Her name is Dr. Marcia Burnett-Butica, MD. She's a physician, a life coach, and founder and CEO of In Full Bloom Health and Life Coaching and Women Ready to Move Academy. After practicing medicine for over 25 years and being active in the public health, Dr. Marcia fully appreciates the role the mind plays in life and health. As a certified health and life coach, she helps professional women who feel trapped in their personal prison of life so they can break free and finally live life without limits. Dr. Marcia is uniquely qualified, drawing from her multiple experiences as a physician, life coach, women's conference speaker, mother, and former pastor's wife to encourage and equip women who are ready to move. Just on that small bio that we bring. I'm going to introduce you first and foremost to this wonderful lady and welcome her, as we do in the UK and across the world, because this recording will be going global. Dr. Marcia, welcome to Free Your Mind. Let's talk about it. Thank you so much, Lady Kendall Jagger. I am absolutely ecstatic about being on your show to free your mind and just to share with you and to encourage each other, but also to encourage your listeners. Wonderful. Um, obviously I'm taking this first segment part of it. Can you explain to the listeners that when, um, we went on Sean Fair, you gave an incredible speech that brought me to tears actually in the audience and many people. Is it possible if you could tell our listeners how you engaged, empowered that audience, not just the audience, people at home, and to leave your footprint of being marked at birth in somebody's heart and mind, which you did with mine. And I'd like to, if possible, if you could share that with the audience today. Yes, absolutely. In the first foremost, I was able to meet you in the USA, in Detroit, during that leadership experience tour presentation. And my story was about being marked from birth, and that's also the title of the book that I wrote. And it started from when I was a young person and I was born with a birthmark. And I made the connection that all of us have that flaw, that thing about themselves that we may not like, or even sometimes it's things that people can see, but a lot of times it's something on the inside. And I know you have encountered loss. I have also encountered loss. My, my parents were killed in a car accident about 15 years ago, and it was sudden, and there are things that you just can't prepare for, and it's it leads to struggles in life. And so you are a mental health advocate, and so that is where we sometimes get stuck, not being able to move through our trauma and get to where that experience now grows us and it helps other people. And so through my talk, I was able to express some of the steps that I went through. And it talks about, you know, unlocking, you know, your, your X factor. It talks about unlocking your, unlocking your potential. And then it also talks about unblocking your blessing. And I shared there was a young man, his name is Akai, and his mom reached out to me on social media after I had posted something about my birthmark, and she, she called me, and through the conversation I could tell that her heart was hurting because her son was feeling some of the same things that I had expressed, that he was feeling ugly, that he was feeling that no one would play with him. And those were the things that I was going through when I was a child, but it was my time then to now to make a difference in that young man's life. And I was able to speak to him and let him know that he was unstoppable, just like those that are under the sound of my voice. Whatever you're struggling with, you are unstoppable. And so thank you for letting me share that, Lady Kendall. And Dr. Rhonda Wood is going to come in and ask you, um, a few questions about yourself, and for the listeners in the UK to hear. Dr. Underwood, you know Dr. Marcia herself personally, and from your own personal testimony, if you could let our listeners know the empowering that she does, and for the listeners that they're, you You heard that small clip from Dr. Marcia. She's so humble. She's a true humanitarian, and she makes you believe in it. She makes you— in one of her captions, the flaw is at the core of who you believe yourself to be. There's something about this lady, it's like magic. Not in magic, oh, you're just saying that because, you know, she actually draws you in. And takes you into her soul, and she does listen, she does have advice, and she does have— and if any listener is, um, wanting to know, um, about this Marked from Birth book, it's called Marked from Birth: The Transformational Journey from Flawed to Fabulous, and it is, um, $25. Is that available, Dr. Marcia? On Amazon. Could you just tell the listeners where they can get this book, please? It is definitely available on amazon.com. Just click in, type in Marked from Birth on the browser, but you can also go to my website, which is markedfrombirth.com, and you will get an autograph— autographed copy of my book. Wonderful. So now I'm going to pass you over to the wonderful Dr. Underwood, who is our guest speaker on Free Your Mind, Let's Talk About LKJ. Now, Dr. Rhonda, engaging Dr. Marcia with the audience, can, you know, she's going to ask you some questions herself. So here we go, listeners, this is going to be electric. So yeah, I'm super excited to be able to interview Dr. Marcia. I met her through our connection with Sean Fair's Leadership Experience Tour in Detroit, and we discovered that we had a lot in common. One is is that we're both from the great state of Maryland. So I automatically said, oh, she's really cool and a fabulous person just because we're from the same area. But even as I got to know her a little bit more and dive deep in her story, I realized just how powerful she was. And so one of the questions that I think our listeners would love to know, um, Dr. Marcia spent over 25 years as a physician and is now and now, you know, using her experience has now become a life coach empowering women. And so I think our viewers would be interested to know, Dr. Marcia, just how you made that transition. Or I know you didn't leave the practice of medicine, but just how you sort of stepped into that role as a life coach empowering, you know, women around the world and helping them to embrace that flaw and be inspired and still be able to, you know, find that superpower that we all have within us. So I would love for you to share with the listeners just, you know, sort of how that connection was made and sort of, you know, what you do in that role. Sure. So first of all, yes, Dr. Rhonda, we had— we have that Maryland location in common, and I thought we clicked. And you have interviewed me several times on John Fair's Leadership Experience Tour. And so I am just so happy just to be able to connect with you even though we are, we are hundreds of miles apart. I still feel the connection. And so with that, the— I have been a physician for 25 years, and what usually happens, like, when a patient comes in, there's usually a physical need. There's some pain, there is some a problem, that the numbers, the lab numbers aren't looking the way they should. And so we go about as physicians going about trying to bridge the gap of how to get the patient from point A to point B. And in the finite amount of time in a doctor's office, you really do not have enough time to dive deep into the why of what is happening. And we end up giving a prescription, you know, we start a therapy, we make a referral, but the real connection comes up when you're able to talk, when you're able to listen, when you're able to ask questions, and you get the answer or insight into why they didn't take the medicine. You get the why as to what happened on their way to the doctor's office today. And that is the key to finding out what is going to help that person move the needle. And that is what life coaching does. It allows the space for the— or I'm going to call that the patient, but the client— to find their own answers instead of being told what to do. The client is now able to decide for themselves, and that now gives them the, the power. It empowers them to now be the key person in their journey as opposed to being an innocent bystander. And so that, I think, is, is the key, and that, and that is what I love. That's what lights me up. That's what brings the passion out of me, and to see my clients, those that I come in contact with, now thriving because they are now in, in control of their destiny. And that's priceless. I love that. I know that one of the things that we had talked about in one of our former interviews, that sort of as a physician you sort of help people with a physical pain or a physical ailment, and, and then as a, as a life coach, it's of a sort of personal or even professional element. And I know part of your message that really impacts audiences is about becoming what you refer to as the X factor. Can you tell our— I know they're dying to know what that is. Can you tell our audience a little bit more about what that means? Sure. The X factor. And when I talk about the X factor, I talk about it in terms of first, you identifying someone that you think has the X factor, that it factor. And we think it's something that is special, something that's rare, something that either they were born with, something that, uh, something that you can't get, something you can't just go to the store and buy. But my message is that Everyone has their own X factor. Mine is going to be different from yours, Dr. Rhonda. I know you have a skill in writing. Everyone's not going to have that, but it's up to you to now to execute it to the best of your ability. My X factor, or my superpower as I also call it, is my insight and the way that I can connect with those that I meet. And so it's my job now to make that connection as I help individuals break out of their personal prison so that they can discover who they are again, that they can now decide what they want. And then we get to the place where now they can deliver on their destiny. Amazing. What advice do you have for that person, for that individual, this duck has probably for years struggled with that flaw, struggled with, you know, maybe low self-esteem or not very much confident, security in, and, and wants to break —what is your best advice for that individual? You broke up a little bit, but I think I heard you say, how— what's the advice that I would give to someone who wants to break out of their personal prison? Is that correct? Yes. The first thing, and you mentioned it, is one, they have to want to. And what I find for individuals who have been trapped is that we run and we cover and we hide it and we don't want to address it. And the example that I like to use is, say you're watching one of those whodunit shows and say, you know, they, they kill someone and then they go and they end up dumping the body, let's say, in the river. What happens is that we think the body is going to fall to the bottom and stay, stay down, but it doesn't. And so what usually happens is that the body now resurfaces. And when it resurfaces, one, when you don't expect it, when you're doing something else, when you've moved on with life, when you're now in a different relationship or you're talking to your child. And then when it comes up, it's also going to look a lot worse than when it went down into the water. And it's because we've allowed it to stay underwater too long. And so my advice is that you have to now go and unroof it. You have to go let it come up. You have to dig it up and actually face it. One of the acronyms that I developed is called FOCUS, and what the letters stand for is Facing Obstacles Creates Unlimited Success. So instead of running away from it, instead of trying to ignore it, when you face it, that's the only way now that you can take steps and that you can now come out of that prison and you can get to your next level in life. Dr. Marcia, very empowering. I know the listeners are engaging into this amazing interview. You have been interviewed by many people, as Dr. Wanda said herself, as Dharma. But for that last segment that you just expressed and opened up about, you know, being trapped in, in your body, etc., was it because you yourself hated what was inside yourself? One of the and to bring that out. Did you find having lived with adversity that it helped you? Because in your Forbes interview, you have a birthmark on your face that you hated. This mark caused you to hide. This mark caused you not to show up for yourself, and you frequently did not stand up for yourself. But your birthmark taught you lessons, and you share these lessons in your book, Apart from Birth. Um, do you find with that, as again, going just rewinding a little bit, walking in adversity, what you've done has helped you become this phenomenal life coach to help people because of having walked that path of adversity? Yes, Lady Kendall, that absolutely. The adversity is what has made me As I look back on some of my struggles, yes, the birthmark was a core event that followed me through life. I thought I was over it in college, but there were remnants that followed me into my relationships and eventually to my marriage. But I also went to medical school, which was adversity on top of adversity. And on top of that, as I mentioned, my parents were killed in a car accident, and I had to deal with that, the suddenness. And so on top of that, I also experienced some abuse in my marriage. One, because I didn't stand up for myself. One, because— no, two, I didn't, I didn't call things out. I didn't call it as abuse. But that's what it was. And I had to get to a place where I no longer was going to stand for it. And I had to lead not only for myself, but I also needed to protect my children. And so all of these adversities, it formed a, it's kind of like a thumbprint, a fingerprint. And it, it, everything kind of coalesced into who I am today. And I know I would not have been— I would not have been able to speak in power if I had not been broken. And so we all have that breaking that happens, but you can't get to the breakthrough without first being broken. Exactly, because sometimes, you know, we have people when we're talking about domestic abuse, mental abuse, and there are so many different forms of trauma. And, you know, we have the first one, initial, which is the shock to the brain that in the UK, as our listeners know, we call that acute trauma. And then if we don't deal with it, we can become complex trauma. We're not dealing with those emotions flight or freeze mode that affects us. How are we going to control that? And if we don't, this gets deeper and deeper. And myself, I suffered with complex trauma, as many things that happened to you. But yourself, it was that connection when he was on stage, when he said you lost your parents, losing my brother, losing my child. You opened up And through your voice, you came to me from somebody that I felt had become voiceless because of the abuse, because of the trauma, the scarring had not been healed enough, and then broke open when you stood on that stage. The tears flowed, but I could hear the compassion in your voice, even there for the listeners to go in. And so you think you dealt with it, We all think we've dealt with it, but for you, when we open and we talk about domestic abuse, because there are the listeners here, they're all suffering from anxiety, depression, somebody's had trauma, they've had loss, they've just lost somebody, they've lived 70 years, we've got the Queen, we've lost the Queen of our country. There's such a thing as a broken heart. But yourself, I mean, we're just going back over you know yourself who you are, when you said you received abuse in your marriage, you was married to a pastor. So how we change that to our English version is like a vicar. We have the priest in the English Catholic Church, and then in Church of England have a vicar, where a vicar is allowed to be married. So in the United States, a pastor is allowed to be married. This is how you are, but for who you are and your beliefs, I'm going to ask you on my next question how you met your husband, where you met him, etc., like this, and it is going deep because there are listeners who want to know that when you believed that it was you, it was your fault, you couldn't see it, you were becoming voiceless But then you stepped out of that because you have a superpower, super insight. Enough! Have value in my no and let my yes be of value and appreciation. But going back where your ex-partner was a pastor, who thinks he used to stand in a church and tell people the word of God and then come back and get abused. Can you just, if it's not too painful— our listeners would totally understand— but living as a pastor's wife and suffering mental abuse, did you, and did you receive physical abuse? If it's not too painful, because you know you're showing people in your coaching how to recover and be that voice. So like when you come to the UK, many of our listeners, they want to get a one-to-one and book a meeting with you one-to-one, and we're going to touch on that a little bit later, you know, if you need to reach out and book lessons, you know, coaching, counseling, etc., wuku. But is it possible to open up, or is the scar too deep to open? So yes, it is definitely something that I'm still working through. And what I would say is this, definitely it sounds like to outsiders, to other people, that there is a disconnect. How I could be a professional woman, a physician, to be in a relationship where I was being abused. And I stayed. And with abuse, there is not a one day, you know, day one they're abusing you. It is subtle a lot of times. And you also get to the place where you've built a life with them and you have children and there are things that don't make sense and you're trying to figure it out. And one of the things that I frequently got to a place of, you know what, this doesn't feel good, this isn't right, but I never could bring myself to call it out. I wouldn't take that step to call it abuse. There were times, though, that I wanted to call 911, but I knew that once I did that, that that was going to cause a bigger problem. And you're always, for those that are listening, for those that are abused, there's always that place where you're, you're not thinking 2 and 3 steps down the road, you're not thinking about what's happening right this second, you're thinking about, okay, if I call, if I call, you know, the police and they come and if they don't see anything on me, if there's no scar, if there's no bruise, if he can talk his way out of it, if he knows someone in the police department, once we get back home, now I'm going to be worse off than when I— before I called. And so we start making— we start making other decisions. You know, then we start talking about, okay, what's going to happen to my children? And we— this is the part where the brain kicks in and says, you know what, my job right now is to keep you safe. And even though the abuse is normalized, that at least I know what that's going to happen, what's that's going to do, okay. This is going to happen and then the next couple days we're not going to be talking and it's going to be a quiet household, but I know come Monday morning I'm I'm going to be able to take my kids to school, make dinner, and it's going to blow over. And so that's the place where we see— that's a moment of being stuck. But unless you have someone to say, hey, this isn't— this should not be happening. This is not normal. There's another way to live. There's a more powerful place for you to be. There's another relationship, or there's other places, or other people in your life who love you the way that you deserve to be loved. And then the other big piece was, you know what, I made a covenant, I made a vow to stay married, and I'm also the leader of, you know, the women's ministry. And what type of testimony would I be if I left my marriage? And so you pray, you cry, You talk to the one or two people that you can talk to for advice. But no one is telling— no one tells you to leave. They always say, you know, why don't you stay? Stay and pray. Stay and pray. And I did that until I couldn't anymore. And the biggest tool, the biggest part was when I decided to give myself permission to give myself permission instead of asking for permission to do what was best for me. Powerful. That's very powerful. You know, I think a lot of people can resonate with that, that story, Dr. Marcia. If I may ask you, sort of, I know you mentioned that you decided to give yourself. Was there a moment, thought, an incident? Like, what was it that made you finally decide to sort of, you know, what was the sort of breaking point? What was the— what happened? What thought process did you have sort of? Enough, or I need to do something different, something change. I have to move. What can you share with our audience who may feel or may be afraid to leave a situation because of, you know, parents or God, or, you know, even for spiritual reasons, may not believe in religion or the right— about and forgiveness and things of that nature. So what advice would you have for our audience who may be— Uh-huh. So Dr. Rhonda, you are breaking up some. And what I heard was that, what advice would I give to someone who was thinking about leaving? What was the breaking point? And my breaking point was when it started to affect my children. And when I was trying to prevent something from happening, meaning them not being able to grow up with their father in their household. I was trying to prevent that from happening, but I was overlooking what was happening right in that moment, and they were being affected. Both by, by, uh, I'm going to say personally, but also they were watching how the, how the interaction was in the household. And that was not, um, I, I had to make the decision that I had to, to change what was going to happen next. And for our listeners that are listening to that, which is and could cause a trigger moment to anybody listening because of the empowering openness and truthfulness of Dr. Marcia lending her voice so that you are not voiceless, that you do become the voice or the voices. She is now the voice for those listening in, in that situation who are voiceless, who are being silenced because of fear, because of recriminations, because you do believe that when it's your children, you are doing the right thing by staying. You're actually not doing the right thing by staying, as Dr. Marcia now removed her children from her, because as Dr. Marcia said, her children witnessed it. In the end, as the children grows, you've already scarring and marking their brain with trauma. That they take this, when that child that you can't see because you're fighting yourself against this person that is causing this abuse, they are the ones we see that are hiding in it. Please stop un-rocking themselves. And when they see you walking on eggshells so that you have that quiet time, where then you get and think everything's going to be all right. With Dr. Marcia, she had a bigger battle. She had a bigger bigger Goliath, she was David at the bottom, Goliath at the top, because this man was a pastor for her. He was a pastor. And the police got— already the fear in there, he would know, that person would know how not to give a mark on you, says something, didn't show. Where some people, their husbands or partners have not been the value of being here, the doctor, Marcia, it was even harder because she was fighting a Goliath, a Goliath and a missionary, because we could call the police and we know in the UK if there's nothing on, the police do their job. No, my wife, she's having a neurotic day. Some men will put us on it. You see, when you're living a day, getting children to school, working, doing everything like that, you're having a neurotic day. So when they come in and if you know those people, as people would know, a pastor, My wife, she's trying to think, you know, just having one of those. Some people, which we know, we talk very much about postmenstrual tension, that it's that time of the month or something like that where our emotions and our hormones are playing up. They would use any tool that they could possibly do to cover their sin. But for Dr. Marcia, I'm going to ask you now, for people as we move on from that area, to allow people, you know, that just can breathe through this thing. And I want you to spell breathe: B-R-E-A-T-H-E. When you come in and bring yourself back up, because that may have been a huge trigger alert for anybody in there. But we need to have that trigger alert because with the voice of this incredible lady and a physician, that did break through. Because a doctor, pastor's wife, mother, everyone would look and think, he should have known better, why didn't he just walk? Doesn't matter who you are until you're in that situation yourself. Because no two people are the same in grief, whatever. You are that person, that is your household, that is your home. So now for Dr. Marcia, as we're going to uplift the audience and tell them how you are coming over to the UK and you will be joining the, um, tour in the UK. So for any listeners that do want to see or meet or connect with with Dr. Marcia. We will be running, giving all the information out again on how to contact her. But Dr. Marcia, my house, you know, is a very powerful show, this show, and people do like to connect and will connect with you. Do you have a strategy that, um, in courses that you do that we can tell the viewers online How they can connect with you, is there certain subjects that you work to one-to-one in counseling? What platforms are you offering regarding that? Do you offer any one-to-one? I do, I do do one-to-one sessions and I also have a group program. It is in the Women Ready to Move Academy and the way that the name came up is that I actually was getting coached because I believe every— I think every person needs a coach. And she had me think about my journey. And when I turned around and opened up my eyes, what I saw, I saw a field of women who were on one knee and they were trying to get up or ready to get up. And so what I saw, I saw women who were ready to move, and that is moving out from what they've been doing to who they were meant to be. And I also have a new program that's coming. It's gonna— it's called Girl Boss Life Academy, and that is something that And when I think about a girl boss, I think of someone— I think of a woman who is ready to boss up in life and in leadership. So for the listeners, as you've seen, Dr. Marcia does do those, and obviously there's the US rate and the UK rate. Um, so anyone for the listeners here, is this done by Zoom? Obviously, because you're in the United States and people in the radio will be like, how do I connect? How can I do that? Is it going to be on the— you know, we've all been through COVID, so we're all used to Zoom, we're all used to doing this one-to-one. And as you say, everybody should have a life coach. We should have that person that helps us through the daily challenges, and we will always face daily challenges in that life. But How can they connect with this? Do they reach out to you on LinkedIn? How would they reach out and connect with you? So I am available on all social media platforms— Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. You can find me on YouTube, and you can also go to my website. It is drmarcia.com. Drmarcea.com. Now, my name is spelled with an E instead of an I, and so it's D-R-M-A-R-C-E-A. You can click the connect button. You can also schedule a, a video call, and I do most of my sessions via Zoom. There's also a phone option if that works best, and I would love to connect, love to do a discovery call and just to kind of— and to see where you are. And I want to also just mention, we've been talking about like negative things in life, but life coaching is also for the positive things in life. So for example, I have done more in the last 2 years than I have in the last 20 years, and I've had a personal life coach for that duration. And what it does is that it helps you make decisions and move through things that used to take you a long time to think about. They used to take you a long time to decide. And now I'm making decisions faster. And if I can just— some of the things that I have been able to do, I was featured in Forbes magazine. I'm also was listed in USA Today, which is one of the magazines or published publications in the US, as one of the top 15 entrepreneurs to watch. I have a speaking platform, have authored 2 books. There's a third one on the way that actually Dr. Rhonda and I are on the same contributing author list. And so there are just so many other things that are that are up and coming. Life coaching helps you do life in a grander, bigger, and a, in a more fabulous way. I love that. So, Dr. Marcia, um, that's a great segue. We would, you know, now that the listeners know how to connect with you and if they're interested in working with you, how they can do that, can you let us know a little bit more about what's next you, what events or projects do you have coming up that you'd like to share? So the biggest one that's coming up next is going to be at Sean Fair's Leadership Experience Tour at the end of October. I will be there. I know Dr. Rhonda will be there. Lady Kendall, I think you're going to be there as well, and so many of the other ambassadors the other speakers, those that are coming from the UK, those that are already in the United Kingdom. And so that is going to be an amazing time. Sean Fair has done a stellar job in building this event so that it benefits those who are aspiring speakers, for you to get your message out, for you to get your branding taken care of, having your video, having the interview. By Dr. Rhonda and some of the other interviewers. And so that is, that's the thing that's coming up next. But after that, I also am going to be the workshop leader for the Diversity Women's Conference that's going to be held in our nation's capital in Washington, D.C. And that is going to be a major event in our area where many of them, I'm going to call them movers and shakers in the financial realm, but also in women's diversity. And so I'm excited to do that. I also have my own event coming November 12th. It is called the Girl Boss Experience, and it is a live event for girl bosses who are ready to boss up in life. And in leadership. I'm going to be talking about mindset, particularly of a multifaceted CEO. We're also going to have some emotional intelligence work happening. We're going to talk about self-leadership. We're going to be talking about networking. And there's so much goodness happening in that event. And so if you're interested in any of that, the The links will be posted on my website, and I just can't wait for what is going to happen next. Dr. Marcia, for any of these listeners who may not be in the Maryland or Washington, D.C. area, do they have the option to either, you know, participate virtually? Can they get a ticket for a replay or, you know, something of that nature? Are those options available? Absolutely. So the Leadership Experience Tour will be broadcast across the world, and you can get in on that link. There is an Eventbrite link for those that want to watch virtually. For my event on November 12th, I'm looking into doing a virtual option. That has not dropped yet, but please stay tuned. I hope to bring that to you shortly. That would be wonderful for the listeners that have listened to the show today and coming on, and obviously now raising up the positivity as we believe in doing, which looks absolutely amazing. And I do know there will be a lot of people in the UK that would probably like to participate in that because obviously they can't be there in person, but to bring that across, you know, and open that across globally would be wonderful, Dr. Marcia. Awesome, thank you so much. Um, Dr. Marcia, um, something else I was going to say is, uh, with your— with who you are, um, Is there anything you would like to say about being, you know, having your own life coach and everything like that? What is it that you look— I always look, as you know, I have prayer in my handbag every day. Pain release, allow yourself to eliminate and recover. What is your daily thing to allow these people to keep in the positive? Mood, because living with the light shining positively, we moved on. Can we touch on that? How you look, because you look incredible, you know, and for anybody, you know, please search Dr. Marcia Whitaker on there. She is like stunning. She's like a Jackie Onassis, you know. She really has— you have style, you have glamour, the smile, your eyes, you're perfectly made up. You know, to be like that, you just shine, you know, and that's positivity. Even the way your website is created shows this power, this girl boss power, who you are. You know, you've walked adversity, you know everything, and how to step up. How would you say to listeners, you need to get up and feel like this rather than feeling a bit down in the dumps? What words can you give them as encouragement? Because, you know, you look amazing. Do you get up every day and have like 2 hours before to get up? You know, because that's incredible. You look absolutely incredible. Well, thank you, Lady Kendall. I appreciate you for saying that. And so I think I've had people who say that I've been aging backwards, and that is something when you get out of the box when you get out of the struggle, when you get out of the adversity, and now you can actually live. I think that has been one of the biggest things for me. And that's my, my advice to others is that if, if you're in a struggle and it's a struggle that, you know, you don't need to be in. The answer isn't to put on more makeup. The answer is to figure out how to get out of the struggle. And so it goes back to covering up and kind of what we call buffering, doing all the other things instead of addressing what's actually going on. And my mind goes back to when I talk— I'm also a health coach. And there are a lot of people in the world who, you know, are trying to lose weight. They're trying to do, you know, trying to slim down, do whatever, trying to get healthy. But what I noticed is for that, and I actually myself, I was overweight for many years. But what I was— the bottom line was that I was overnourished with food and undernourished in every other area of my life. And so when you are— when you are addressing each thing and doing the things that make you happy, the things that bring you joy, it's going to be different from each— for each person. But as you run after those things, it's going to help even out the areas where you may be overnourished. And so once you start tackling those things, you'll see the weight start to fall off. You start to smile wider. You start laughing louder. And I've always had a loud laugh, but I had gotten to a place where I wasn't laughing. I didn't recognize myself. I wasn't joyful. And so that's why when I talk about who I am, I'm a master destiny Life Coach, because I help you discover who you are again, and I help you to decide what you want. Because a lot of times we don't decide, we allow other people to decide for us, and we get out of the habit of making decisions because we don't want the responsibility. And then once you get past there, now you can start delivering on your destiny. No one is coming to save you. No one is coming to save me. I had to boss up and I had to go and save myself. And with that, for the listeners, you also created a wonderful slogan: I woke up fabulous and free. And you have some merchandise, I see, at $20. Which is about £18.50, I believe, in the UK. But, you know, it could be a little bit more as the pound keeps dropping, but still fantastic price. The $20 in the UK, we would say. And he said, I woke up fabulous and free. So for me, as you were saying that, you know, when you get up, when you're looking about the overindulgence, you know, with food, Putting that on is how— it's your call message, it's your slogan. I woke up fabulous and free because you learnt to stand and learnt to walk. Putting on that t-shirt, tying your hair back, getting the hoover out if you do hoover. I don't, but if you do, I can imagine putting on a song and, you know, rocking along with your hoover dust her and whatever, or if you're taking a walk down that beach because you just want to get out and make a statement. This t-shirt is so beautifully designed. As I said, Dr. Marcia herself, if you look at the website, she is a woman of class. She carries so much style with her. And a saying that we say in England, clothes don't maketh the man, manners maketh the man. Dr. Marcia, clothes don't make the woman, the mind makes her the woman. Because she empowers, by empowering this wonderful t-shirt, just putting that on I feel fabulous. It's got silver, it's got a little bit of touch of, you know, like the softness of the purple going. When you wear that, you're putting it on to show the world I'm free, I feel fabulous, I don't care if I don't wear any makeup. You're not wearing a mask because sometimes we get up, we have to pick into the cupboard which mask I'm going to do, how I'm going to paint my face up. You've created a piece of merchandise that's going to be a real hit in the UK. You ladies, you know, yes, I'm wondering if you do a male version because we have the male ready to do it, because you know, there's some people gonna be walking along the beach here, I would put a dog tag on one of those along the beach, you know, and see someone else, because you'll be noticed, A, because of the slogan, they won't look at it, but look at it and think, that woman, that's gonna resonate and leave a message, she feels fabulous and free, she's put that on, she feels fabulous, you're confident, you know, let's do this, you know, just out there. You don't have to be, as you're saying, walking in Chanel, walking in designer clothes. You don't need to be painting all your face to become this person. So with your mindset and your coaching and who you are, this is resonated out, you know, which show how through the power of your voice, the power of your mindset, who you are. You're not just a pretty face all dressed up like that, look at— behind there is intelligence, emotional intelligence, emotional intelligence, and a lady with a heart and a mind to help. So yes, please, I am asking you guys if you want to do it. Her methods work, let me get one thing straight. Her methods work, and because Dr. Marcia has walked in more adversity than a lot of us— we're fighting as David against Goliath. She's fought the big fight, and now she's free and looking fabulous and free. She has, you know, marks from birth. God didn't mark her from birth. God placed a hand with a print to say, you will go, my child. And you will show the world you have a voice, you are beautiful, you need no mask, you need nothing, but you are one of God's children and you really are a credit to the human race, to women, to empower women, but not just women, you're not being a feminist, you would help a male too, to feel fabulous, because men suffer the same as women do. They do. We are equal, we have to be diverse, we have to have inclusion, and with your book and Rita, to write a book is far from easy. It takes, and especially when you're writing about something so personal, because you're having to go back and put yourself into that trauma, to release that pain, to actually then look and be more critical on yourself. Have I got that cross right? Will they understand? Truly how that means. So writing a book is a lot harder than standing up for people to see you visually, like doing a radio show. People then have to connect and really understand by the tones and our expressions through voice how that comes across. And I do hope to bring Dr. Marcia to Lady Kendall-Jagger's TV show where you'll visually see this beautiful lady and then you will see she really is class. I think I might take a few lessons out of your book actually. You just talk and you just feel— for us the only way I can do it is we had Princess Diana that was, you know, an icon to us in fashion. You are the epitome of that for us. When they see you and they come over like, wow, because you use clothes to show empowerment but to not overstate. You use clothes to feel confident, to boost confidence with the t-shirt, everything that you've got, your merchandise, everything, Dr. Marcia, is incredible. Absolutely incredible. Thank you. I sat in the stage and I watched you speak on the Sean Fair. It is a privilege, yes, I will be joining you. Later this month in Detroit, interviewing in the international room, people to let the UK know who you are and the people that are speaking on there. So that's wonderful. So we are coming to a close, so if I could use this time for your lasting message to the UK, who will welcome you with open arms, I know, and you all know how to connect. Can we just repeat your lasting message and how to connect, and please spell your full name as Dr. Marcia and then Whitaker if any journalists etc. want to see you for doing any further media work with you. So it's down to you, you have 2 minutes 15 seconds left before we shall close the show. All right, well, I cannot leave this stage without thanking you, Lady Kendall, for who you are and for what you have represented as you help those that are in need. And I know that you just had a charity ball, and I saw some of the pictures, and it was absolutely amazing. And I just applaud you for, for what, for what you were doing. And so as, as I close, I just want to just give you— I'm Dr. Marcia, M-A-R-C-I-A, last name Whitaker, W-H-I-T-A-K-E-R. My website is drmarcia.com. I look forward to connecting with those who resonate with my message, and I— my mission is to help women particularly, but all people to get through the trials of life. You don't have to struggle. I'm going to say that again. You don't have to struggle. And we think that our story is we're the only one who's dealing with that. And that is not true. And I know we've— Dr. Rhonda and I have talked and shared about her story as well, and that there are, there are people who are going through exactly what you're going through. It's your job. The only thing you have to do is say, hey, I need help, and help will be there. Thank you. Thank you so much, Dr. Rhonda. A quick message from yourself, um, being guest show on here on the radio station Free Your Mind. Let's talk about it at Women's Radio Station, www. Womensradiostation.com, which you can find by placing that in, and, um, be hearing the interview. Please share Dr. Marcia's message. Please share this wonderful interview. Please connect with Dr. Marcia. Her voice is there now to help the voiceless. Speak. Speak that. Dr. Marcia's voice is there to allow the voiceless to speak. Do not let anybody silence you. Do not let anybody inflict any pain on you. You are enough. You are worth something in this world. You are worth something in this world because you are not worthless. And with Dr. Marci's help and coaching, please connect, please see her website, click her, and I look forward to seeing you connecting with her on our TV show.
