It's a holiday day. It's Easter Monday. We start with the very bad news from the awful attack that was in Sri Lanka, and we are with the victim Classical music and the musicians, they have a big power through music to speak to anyone in any language. And we want to let anybody know it doesn't matter which religion you are. We are all human beings. And the most important thing is we all want to live and live happily together. So let's, let's stick together in the way that you want to think about them and put our heart to music and to love and to— today there should be a beautiful day of holiday and fun with family and children and classical music. So today is the day that we're finally revealing the finalists of the Future Classic Women Awards. We started almost a year ago. It's been an amazing journey. We heard the most beautiful women with the most varied stories of personal challenge and fun in a job that could look like something that is very far away from people, from everyday life, but it's actually a job like any others. And we all have encountered the same issues that women have when they're working. So we're starting with the finalists that we decided through the favor of the public, of the audience listening to them on our station during the week that they were aired on air. And through the SoundCloud playlist, we're going to reveal today a special SoundCloud. We will ask the audience to listen to as much as they want to their interviews, to the finalists' interviews, and the one that will be heard the most will be revealed in a couple of weeks' time. So be tuned. So So the first finalist of today that we're going to listen to is the mesmerizing trumpet player Matilda Lloyd. We're going to listen to— we've chosen from her latest album, Legend. And what a beautiful piece, Legend, performed by the fantastic Matilda Lloyd. The next finalist of today is Ermina Trinkaus, the violinist with the most adventurous stories ever. Uh, the piece that we're going to listen to right now is Nimrod Borenstein Concerto for Violin, the first movement, Allegro. And this was Nimrod Barenstein Concerto for Violin, first movement, played by the fantastic Yermina Trinkos. Um, on the first part we heard Matilda Lloyd, Irmina Trinkaus, and Katerina Mina. Now time for the new group of finalists. We got our very first crossover singer, Joanna Forrest. They were our very first guest, and they are going to perform the 'Tsarda by Monty' from their debut album. And these were the Ayoub Sisters with the Charta by Monti in their original arrangement. And the funny thing is that, um, um, Sarah and Laura, they're both playing violin, piano, cello, uh, exchanging instruments. So it's very fun to watch. The next finalist is Natasha Hardy, our next, um, opera crossover with their song Into the Deep from the debut album Lost in Love. I am blinded by your beauty. But I can see the light. We had the radio play playing through, um, the Future Classic Women Awards, and that tells us that actually people love the past women, classical women, and not only the future classical women. And Clara Schumann was in a way the inspiration of the whole program and of the whole idea of discovering how classical musicians can cope with modern life.
