Anyway, now that's all out of the way, let's bring on our wonderful guest. It's Hannah. Hannah, welcome to the show. Thank you so much for having me. It's a pleasure. It's a pleasure. I'm very excited about today's conversation because you are a tarot reader and a conscious crystal seller supplier. And you know pretty much everything there is to know, I think, about crystals. And it's like, woo, it's like magic. What are these magic stones? I think people are becoming more and more aware now of like what tarot cards are. You know, there's a whole sort of mindset, meditation, and crystals. So they're coming more into the mainstream. But I think people still don't know what a lot of these crystals do and what is good for what. So I'm quite excited to hear about— hear you share what all of these crystals are and what, what wondrous things they can do for our lives. Yeah, no, thank you. And I completely agree. I feel like there's been a huge shift in what, you know, the collective are really interested in or being drawn to. And definitely it's becoming less woo-woo and much more mainstream, like using tarot and using crystals in that very intuitive and healing way. So yeah, I completely agree. Crystals are out there now in the mainstream and people— I've got a load on my wrist here as I'm talking to you. Oh, look at that. And I think we know what some of the sort of main ones, like maybe like an amethyst or a rose quartz is, but there's probably people listening that don't know about any of them. So do you want to like maybe just talk through why would, why do we have crystals in our life? What benefit can they, what can they do? Why would somebody want a crystal? Why would, why would someone want an amethyst? And what, what should we do with it? Absolutely. So I believe that we are all energetic beings and that the world is energetic. Everything is energy and gives off a, you know, frequency that can support and help us. And crystals are, you know, part of the earth as much as we are. And so using and working with that energy, you naturally feel it, even if you aren't aware of it. You feel the effects of it just by being around that energy, that crystal. And I want to start by saying it's very, very intuitive, and so you can't really get wrong when it comes to crystals. It's whatever feels right for you. So for example, I'll talk about amethyst, and my opinion on amethyst is actually quite different to what you'll mostly read in a book. For example, if you were to look up amethyst and its benefits and its properties, you might read— in fact, you'll frequently read that it's really good to have by your bed when you sleep, and it's very, very calming. Well, when I've worked with amethyst, so when I use amethyst, I actually find it to be the opposite. I find it to sharpen my mind. So I have an amethyst geode. And, you know, with the geode, it's like a cave, and it's all of this amazing— it just sends energy out into the room with all the points. So it's pretty potent. But I actually have that next to me when I'm reading. The purple color— so all of the colors have a resonance too. And so the purple of the amethyst is linked to our third eye chakra. So our— and that's us communicating with Source, our higher self, you know, our intuition, however it resonates with you. And so when I use amethyst, it actually— it's a quartz, it's part of the quartz family, and quartz amplifies energy. So it just makes everything so much more clear. It brings clarity, it brings, you know, that sense of just knowing and a clear mind. And so amethyst for me actually sharpens my mind and helps me to tap into my higher self. So when I read tarot or when I'm doing anything intuitive, I love to have my geode next to me, or some sort of amethyst, because it really sharpens those abilities, makes me more focused, and yeah, clears the pathway between my human self and my higher self and allows me to sort of step into that channeling much more easily. So I find actually having amethyst by my bed is the worst thing that I could do because my mind's like, and it's like on, whereas for some people that might really resonate. Um, but yeah, for me it's perfect when I'm meditating working and needing to step into that kind of like intuitive space. That's my take on amethyst. So that's amethyst. So does the shape of the crystal, of the amethyst or any crystal, does that make a difference then to, to what the energy is and what it gives out? Yeah, absolutely. I like, you know, as I was saying, color, everything has resonance and has an effect on, you know, the overall energy of the stone. And I find in particular geodes to be really powerful. Um, it's just the shape of it, you know, that cave-like shape, and you've got all those points of the crystal jutting out, and that just sends the energy out into the entirety of the room. So it's not focused on one point, and it just will cover the entirety of that space in all the directions in which the points are going, you know, that's where the energy of it flows. So yeah, they're very, very powerful. I also find as well, just personally, Working with a raw crystal, so you can have polished ones, you'll be very familiar with them, so they'll be, you know, formed into different shapes, possibly like a carving of an animal or something, or a heart. And the raw is just like kind of as they come, and I find those to be the most potent. So my favorite personally is any kind of raw crystal because I find that whatever energy it comes with or that resonates with is always a much kind of higher frequency, at least for me. Some people prefer polished and it kind of channels the energy with the points, but I like the raw nature of it. So for you, Amethyst helps you focus. What else does Amethyst do? It's very, very much linked to our intuition, our higher self. And so it's a brilliant one for if you're trying to sort of tap into that, that inner knowing, or meditation. It's brilliant for meditation. So if you're looking for answers, if you were to sit and, you know, you can pop it— if you had like a tumble, pop it on your third eye as sitting and meditating. That just allows me to tap into that inner knowledge, that inner knowing, much more readily than without that stone. What's a tumble? Oh, a tumble is a tiny, so a small polished crystal. So it's usually about coin-sized and you could put it in your pocket. It's very light and really easy to get hold of and very cost-effective too. Yeah, they're so, they're easy to just sort of pop on as and when you need them. Cool. And what about the bracelets? Probably quite accessible, isn't it, to get a bracelet? So what's the benefits of wearing the bracelet? Oh, a good question. Having just that stone next to the skin— and I always wear a tumble in my bra, and the reason I do that is because it's next to my heart, next to the heart space. And so whatever I'm needing— so for example, we'll talk about rose quartz in a bit, but rose quartz next to the heart is such a gorgeous, um, just a gorgeous energy to have. It encourages self-love and compassion. And just being on the skin, I feel like it's that connection that you have that allows it to kind of work much, much better than if it wasn't. And the same goes for the bracelet, having it on your wrist, you know, you're connected to that immediately. It allows that energy to move and flow quickly for you and work for you. So is that because it's energy? And obviously if we're wearing it, it's within our energy field. So is that why? Yeah, and it's just— yeah, that's just because it works, you know, having it in the room with you. But I think there's something just extra special about having it on you. Just need like a full body crystal suit. That could be an easy thing for you to sell, Hannah, full body crystal suit. Wouldn't that be amazing? You might not be able to walk very far, but you'd look like— you'd be absolutely— you'd be so heavy, it'd be a workout trying to move through that. What's your latest weight loss thing? I just wear a crystal suit, it's preventing me from eating anything or moving. Yeah, it takes me 10 hours to get anywhere. Yeah. Okay, so go on, you tell us about rose quartz then. So rose quartz is the pink crystal. Yeah, the beautiful pink crystal. You'll probably be familiar with it. It's one of the most well-known, and it's such a gentle, gentle stone. I think everyone should have a piece of rose quartz, and it will often be a crystal that I give to somebody. If anyone asks, I'll say, oh, always rose quartz. It's known as the stone of unconditional love. It just really fosters this sense of compassion for self, compassion for others. I remember when I was unpacking lots of crystals, I was next to literally a ton of rose quartz, and I found myself being all like, oh, like often like being all like teenage and dreamy. And I was like, why have I gone into this state? And it was because I was next to so much rose quartz, like everything was like magical. And yeah, it's just, it's beautiful for opening the heart chakra. It's very, very gentle, very healing. So if you have been going through a difficult time in terms of relationships, it's really, it really promotes that healing, not just with you, but with the other person. It allows you to see things in a very compassionate way, you know, coming from the heart, especially if you have had friction, it can be quite challenging, but Rose Quartz just gently reminds you that the heart is always the place to come from. It's always best to come from that space of love. And if you struggle with those feelings for yourself, Rose Quartz Rose Quartz is just so beautiful because it really fosters and builds you up in that respect. And so that's why I said having it by your heart is a really precious place to have it. Loving energy for self, that can only then pass out to everyone around you and they benefit from that too. And so it just really— it is off the chart, the frequency of it is so beautiful and, and so pure. I just love it. Um, so I think everyone should have a piece of Rose Quartz, definitely. I just found it such a nice one to work with. You talked about frequency, um, I think they use— is it cryptic? What's that photography? Kryptonian? Kryptalian? The photographer that takes a picture of energy. And I think they, um, you can take pictures of like people, vegetables, of things. And I think somebody actually took pictures of crystals and it showed the different energy fields around the crystals. People, it can see people's energy fields and it can change different colors and different shapes depending on what's going on energetically. So there's actual proof that they're— that they actually give out energy as well. If anyone's interested in sort of picking up on that, like, just look for it. It's really quite interesting because I will be picking up on that. Yeah, yeah. And I think it's just good to know that it's science-backed, that there's proof that he does actually give out energy as well, because I think some people might be thinking, how can a rock do this? But yeah, if you've got something that can show it, I think that that's— yeah. And I was one of those people. Do you mean it's just, it's just a rock? But it's so interesting that how I have changed and shifted and I you know, experience it. And it's so beautiful, like, opening up to it and having that— yeah, like you're saying, have it backed by science. Like, what you have felt yourself, you're like, oh, brilliant, you know. I'm not just completely cray cray, there's something to this. Absolutely, absolutely. So you're going to tell us about the citrine as well? You can talk about citrine, which is the yellow. I love citrine. Yeah, I love citrine too. I sometimes feel like it's a bit of a hidden treasure. You know, I think it's kind of an underrated one, but it's so potent. It's just such a powerful stone. So it's yellow and it links to our solar plexus, which is our power center and where we have that, that source of personal power. It can also link, depending on sort of the tones of it, because it can be quite deep orange as well, to our sacral, which is our creativity, our passion, our drive. Two really powerful chakras. Chakras. Um, and so it asks you to step into your creative power, like how can you show up, how can you shine. And it's just, it's really encouraging in those aspects. And it's known as the Stone of Abundance. It used to be called the Merchant Stone. Merchants used to keep it in their little cash register or where they kept their money as a, you know, it was seen to be like a money magnet. And it still has that consultation today. In fact, I keep citrine in my purse, I keep it anywhere I have money. And, you know, since doing that, it has been, you know, it does attract the abundance in. And so many people that I've, um, told have also done the same, and then they've contacted me and been like, oh my God, you will not believe how abundant I feel. And it's not just abundance in sense of monetary value, you know, it's also that sense of abundance within yourself. And that's why I love citrine so much, because you know, it is in terms of that, but it's about, you know, feeling abundant in your power, feeling abundant in your creativity. Like, I often describe citrine as like that— your, like, cheerleader best friend. It's like, you can do it, you know? It's like, gives you that sense of, like, belief in yourself. It dares you to dream big and, like, believe that you can go after things. It's really optimistic, um, and believing that abundance is possible. It's Yeah, it's really, really just uplifting and yes, such a magnet for that positive energy and it instills that in you. You can kind of feel it working on that solar plexus to be like, okay, I can do this, I can, I do have the drive, I can, you know, achieve and have that possibility. So it is, it's so underrated, I really think so, but I recommend it to everyone, like definitely pop a piece in your purse and see I mean, what have you got to lose, right? See how it, um, how it benefits you, because yeah, it's been amazing. The feedback on Citrine has been quite incredible. Um, yeah, so forget the lottery ticket, folks, just get some Citrine. Exactly, all you need. Oh, you touched on chakras. Um, so for anybody that's listening doesn't know what chakras are, do you want to just talk through the each of the chakras and what they are? Yeah, so they're sort of like energy centers in our body, and it starts with at the base of our spine, the root chakra, and that's linked to the color red. And this is all about our sense of safety, and, um, it's where we feel— again, it's linked— yeah, I guess safety is the best way to describe it. And it's where we feel grounded as well. So it's, you know, if we're feeling a little bit unstable, that's that's all root chakra. It's that sense of stability in self, groundedness, and I'm feeling safe. It's like those core needs. That's the root chakra, and it's linked to the color red or black in terms of crystals. So a black crystal or a red crystal is linked to that chakra and those feelings. And then you have the sacral, and that's an orange color, and that's, as we said, to do with our, our passion, our drive, our confidence. And that's a really, you know, our creativity, and that's about going after those things for ourselves. And the next one is the solar plexus, which is our power center, and it's also our trigger center. So when we feel poked and prodded, that's the solar plexus. It's our confidence being pushed, you know, like being questioned. And so the solar plexus is that one. And then we have our heart, and that's green, and all green or pink. And that's obviously all to do with our emotions, our feelings, compassion, how we show up for others, and, um, yeah, the way we present our emotions to the world. And then we have the throat chakra, which is blue, and this is all about truth, speaking our truth, owning our voice, communicating. And yeah, a really powerful one, the throat chakra. And then we have the third eye, which is our intuition, our connection. To Source, higher self. That gut feeling, that's our third eye. And then we have the crown, which is just above our head, and that's our connection to higher self and Source. So yeah, they're the— it kind of goes up in those levels. And yes, they are the chakras. So why are these important, these chakras? And, and, um, what, what do we do with them? So if someone's listening and they're thinking, okay, that's all very nice, but what, what's— yeah, it's like, oh, lovely, but what's— why is it important? And obviously these can get blocked, and if our life's blocked in certain ways, so if they are blocked, how— A, how can people tell? And B, what can they do to open them and get them all working so that the body's working? Yeah, that's really— I've just piled a lot on you there. Well, do you know what's really fascinating? It's actually, um, been really interesting for me working with crystals and tapping to other people and helping them, supporting them through like the process of, you know, what, what ones resonate with them, is we're always drawn— you asked, you know, how do we know if something's blocked? And we're always drawn to the crystal, the color that's going to be supporting us through those blocked energies. So essentially, if the chakra is blocked, it means that that part, that energy, that you're— what you're currently going through is challenging that part of you. So for example, if your throat chakra is blocked It means you're struggling to speak your truth, or you're in a situation where, you know, you feel like you can't say what you want to say. Um, and it, you know, you can get like a cough, or you can just feel like you, you go to talk— I've experienced this— you want to say what you want, um, you know, but the words just don't come out. That's a blocked throat chakra. Not feeling in your authenticity is a blocked throat chakra. And so if you're experiencing those blockages, it's just not being in complete flow. And they're not all going to be in flow all the time. We're constantly dealing with things, right? We're constantly navigating challenges. And so they'll shift and they'll change. But, you know, you're often drawn to the color that you need support with. So if you were experiencing like a blocked throat chakra, you might be drawn to a blue crystal such as turquoise, which I wear around my neck, to help me communicate clearly. And it fascinates me, they'll ask me, you know, 'Oh, I'm really drawn to this one.' And then, 'Can you tell me a little bit about it?' And I'll explain the properties, and they'll say, 'Oh, that's exactly what I'm struggling with,' or, 'That's what I'm dealing with.' And it is uncanny, like, you know, just chatting to people and them saying, 'No, this is actually what it is.' And I just truly believe that crystals choose you. It's like, whatever you're, you're needing support with, it's like you automatically resonate with that frequency, and you're drawn to that because that it's there to kind of guide and help you through it. And so, yeah, it's very interesting, um, how many times that has happened. So would you better say, if someone's drawn to a crystal and then they say their throat chakra's blocked, um, what— and they've picked out a blue one like aquamarine— and what can they do with this crystal to help unblock their chakra so that they're more— so they're able to, um, you know, speak clearly and, and speak their truth and get back into alignment? What advice would you give? So like I said, I wear turquoise like around my neck because it's as close to my throat chakra as it can be. So it's like that, that extra support almost, like it's, it's close to the throat, it's using that, that energy of that stone near where it's needing to support it. So kind of wearing jewelry. I've also got blue around my wrist as well, but you know, just having it on you allows you to kind of help. And yeah, so wearing it as jewelry. Um, I also would make like a crystal grid. So I don't know, I'll explain what crystal grids are. So essentially, um, I would use one central crystal. Um, so if it was for my throat chakra, I might have, you know, a piece of turquoise in the middle, and then around the edges of it— this isn't its most simplest form— I would have lots clear quartz in a point going out into the room. So the idea of it is— when you said in a grid, are you saying put this on something like on a table or on a paper? You can literally put it on a table, you can put it on your bedside table and in your house anywhere. You have one central crystal and the clear quartz— clear quartz is an amplifier of energy, and so it's in a point and you just have maybe 6 of those and those points go out, point out into the room, and the idea is that it amplifies the energy of that stone and it sends it out into the room with you so that you can feel the benefits, the healing benefits of it. And so if you're in a workspace where you're needing to feel, actually, I need to feel more confident, I need to be able to speak my truth much more, like, having that next to you is going to kind of empower you, embody that, and allow you to feel the benefits of it much more potently because of the clear quartz amplifying it too. So grids are really amazing to work with, so easy to do, and yeah, really an amazing way to tap into the power of different crystals. You can change it whenever you need to change what you're working with. So yeah, wearing them, making a grid, they're brilliant ways to help. It's a bit like an altar then, isn't it, a grid? Like an altar. Yeah, yeah, that's the mini one. It's really beautiful as well. They look amazing. So aesthetically, if nothing else, they're really gorgeous. But yeah, it is very similar. It's like the intent of it as well. So you could even place one on your altar depending on what it is that you're kind of working through. And allow— yeah, that would be a really beautiful place to have it. And you're going to tell us about some of the other crystals that I think you mentioned before. You've got black tourmaline and selenite. Is it Yes. So what do these ones do? What do they do? Yeah, so black tourmaline, um, you can actually get tourmaline in many different colors, but black is the most well-known. Um, it's— I've heard it described as an energetic bodyguard, which I absolutely love. And it's a very grounding crystal, so this is to do with that root chakra, sense of safety. Um, it's perfect to have at the entrance of your house because it's all about protection, purification, and detoxification. So the idea of it is, is it absorbs negative energy. It's very, very cleansing. It kind of cleanses itself. So having it at the entrance of your house, um, is perfect because it kind of absorbs any unwanted energy as people enter and it transmutes it. So it's you know, takes it in itself. It kind of like draws it out and then transmutes it and kind of makes it, you know, it's just very, very cleansing, detoxifies, you know, how people are feeling. So it's a great one to have. It helps people feel really rooted and grounded as well. So if you're kind of feeling a little bit unstable or your mind's really busy or you're just feeling a little bit like you're, well, kind of all over the place A tourmaline is— black tourmaline is really beautiful just to keep you grounded, keep you feeling as if your feet are on the planet. And like, you know, it's just very calming, keeps you focused. It's just boom, okay, I feel a bit safer now. Things aren't so— you know, it's just not being in your head so much. It's, it's just a lovely— yeah, energetic bodyguard is the perfect way to describe it. It keeps your energy yours. And you know, if you're experiencing maybe some more challenging emotions, it's really good at keeping you centered and not getting lost within them. So a really great one if things are a little bit unbalanced for you at the moment. That's a really powerful one to have at your disposal and easy to get hold of. Yeah, I think it clears out bad energy as well, doesn't it? That's things, everything. Like, to be careful with black tourmaline because it can literally move people from your life that are not good for you. Whether you want them gone or not. Very powerful. And what about selenite? What does selenite do? And selenite is, um, it's lovely. It's named after the goddess of the moon, Selene. And if you see it, it's this white iridescent reflective stone, and it's used to charge up a crystal. So the reason I mentioned selenite um, other than the fact that it's just this lovely soft gentle dreamy-like, um, energy, is that it's perfect for kind of keeping your other crystals energetically recharged. So if like me, you know, and you, you're wearing bracelets, like at the end of the day popping those onto a selenite charging plate, which would just be like a round plate made of selenite, or a stick of selenite, allows them to just, you know, it's that energy of the moon. You may have heard, put your crystals out under the full moon to recharge them. And I— the idea of selenite is that it does that, it recharges them. It has that energy of the moon, it looks like the moon in crystal form. And, you know, pop— putting them on there allows them to sort of recharge. I just, whenever I have used one overnight, I just put them on it, and then the next morning ready to go, ready to pop that back on again. And it's kind of just really— because the crystal is working with you the whole time, especially if it is like a tourmaline or something, it's absorbing that energy, absorbing the negativity. Popping on there allows that to recharge. And so yes, selenite is really great for that, and it's just got that purifying nature to it. And yeah, so it's a really— I would recommend having just a stick of it. It's really inexpensive and it allows you to get the most out of your crystals sort of every day. What happens if you don't recharge your crystals? I guess, is it a bit like an iPhone? If you don't plug it in and charge it, it dies? Yeah, it stops working. That's a great way of looking at it. And it's just, I feel like the potency kind of not deteriorates but lessens because it's kind of working overtime. And so you I at least feel the difference when I've had it recharged because it's worked. Like, I feel like it's constantly working, constantly supporting me. And so, um, yeah, popping on there just allows it to kind of recalibrate. And so you don't necessarily have to, it's just I really like to do it. I, I will sage them sometimes as well. Again, it's what works for you. You can literally leave them out in the, in the moonlight. Any of those things are going to work, and it's all about intention. Um, so yeah, whatever you feel is going to benefit you the most, or what you feel is right for you, that's what I would do. Is there other ways to cleanse them and charge them if you don't have cellulite? Cellulite? If you don't have cellulite— selenite! If you have cellulite, that's fine. Okay. Is there a crystal for cellulite? That one will sell right out. That would, wouldn't it? I wish I knew. Sitting on a gold mine with that one. Yeah, honestly. Um, so I would use— so as I said, you could literally just put them out under a full moon, so have them on your windowsill under the light of a full moon, and that will do the same job as selenite for you. And as I said, I'll sometimes just use a sage stick over the top of mine as well with the intention of removing you know, unwanted energies and letting them recharge. So whatever, whatever works for you really, however you intuitively feel. For our listeners that don't know what a sage stick is, would you like to explain? Yeah, sage— oh my goodness, so it's sage leaves all tied together, and the idea is that by lighting the sage and putting your intention intention on that to clear the space, to clear the energy. The smoke of that sage will dispel any unwanted energy. So you can use it around yourself. So I'll use it over my crown and my head once I've done a reading, and I'll put it over my cards and my crystals with the intention that I'm clearing any unwanted energy. And it's just about putting the intention out there, and it's like that practice. Um, yeah, it's a ritual that's been long held. I'm not sure for, but it's a long-held tradition. It's a shamanic ritual actually, isn't it? Yes, that's what I was thinking. Yeah, yeah, clearing unwanted energy from you and things around you. And you can use that to clear your house and your space and everything else. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. And we're talking about— it's a specific sage, it's not the sage that you buy in the supermarket that you pop in. No, just trying to get that. Someone said you're going to be at home like setting fire to the herbs. In the kitchen. Wrong sage! Not that one. No, it is— you can buy— you can get them quite easily, but they're dried sage and they're tumbled together and grouped together in what they call a stick, I guess it would be. Um, yeah, but yeah, not the spiritual sage. Yeah, not supermarket sage. No, not supermarket sage. Supermarket spoops here. And then, so how did you get into tarot reading? Hmm, I'm not really— that's a really interesting one. So I want to say that this life, I did not expect myself to fall into this at all. Um, as I said before, I'm as surprised as anyone that this is kind of my line of work. Um, I went for a tarot reading when I was— oh, when I was maybe like 6, 7 years ago, it's like a joke. And then I went and I was like, oh, it'll be fun. And I was like, oh my God, how does this man— he can see into my soul. This is incredible. He knew everything about me. He— I've never met him before. He's a complete stranger. And I just found it incredible. I thought he must be magic. Um, the next couple of days I went up to see— a couple of days later I went up to see my sister in Newcastle. She was at university there, and we went into a little crystal shop. She wanted to go in and there was a tarot deck and I was like, oh, it was just calling to me. And I was like, no, I'm— I can't do that. I can't be like that. I don't know how to use powers. I can't be tarot. And then so I didn't buy it. And then that night I dreamt about that deck and the cards within it. And bearing in mind I've had one reading, I didn't know any of the cards, but I was seeing them all like I knew them. And then the next night I had another dream, and then the next night I had another one. And so I rang my sister and I was like, yeah, you're gonna need to get me that deck of cards. And then, um, as soon as I had my hands on them, that was it. I don't think a day has gone past where I haven't pulled a card, where I haven't asked a question for myself. Um, yeah, I just, I became obsessed instantly. And it is, I just find it so magic. Um, for me, I use it as this I see it as like a mirror, so it reflects what we're currently going through, and it's this beautiful way to tap into our intuition. It's like a, for me, like a little self-care ritual. So I read by like thinking, what intention does my higher self want me to set? Like, what, where am I being guided? And, you know, it allows me to kind of listen to that inner voice, which you can often kind of put aside and listen to our minds over our heart, and we think logically rather than from, from our soul or from our heart space. And it gives me that opportunity to really tap into actually what do I truly want, and you know, what am I going through and how can I make like the best of that situation. It gives you like a little heads up as well into what's coming, and you can think, oh, do I like that, do I not? And it kind of puts— for me, it should be empowering. It puts the, the decisions back in your hands, and it really just taught me that only I can make changes in my life, you know. Only I have the power to do that. Um, it just constantly reminds me of the direction that I need to go and what I need to learn and focus on. And yeah, it's just beautiful. I do feel like everyone should, should like have a deck, and it just allows you that quietude, that space to tap into, into you. Because we often ask questions, or I get people coming to me for like a reading, and they they know intuitively what they need to do or the decision that they need to make. They just want the confirmation. And that's it for me, it's that confirmation of our intuition. That's why I love it so much. It allows us to believe it and to, yeah, to follow it more readily than maybe we would before. So you use them like a guidance, like, like a map kind of? Yeah, yeah, that's a beautiful way of putting it. Yeah, like a map, that next step. Where am I going now? Where are you guys me, like, for my highest good, like, how can I move forward most aligned with me, you know, without the noise of everyone else, without the opinions of where I should be going. And I always say I get called out by my cards as well. They tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. And so it's— yeah, I'm like, don't put those back in, not ready for that, not ready for that lesson. Um, but yeah, and it is, it is so powerful. And yeah, it's very much, yeah, like a little therapy session often. It's, it's quite, it's quite beautiful, like a bit of journaling, you know. It's like that kind of reflective, um, way of looking at things. So yeah, that's how I work with the tarot anyway, but I found it literally life-changing. Um, yeah, it's a beautiful practice. So if someone's listening, obviously they can have a reading with you. If they wanted to have a dabble with themselves and maybe get a tarot pack, would you advise them on a first pack? Would you advise them like a Rider-Waite pack, or is there a pack that you say is a good one to start with so they can sort of learn it, that might be easier? Yeah, absolutely. And Rider-Waite is the classic, you know, it's great to learn from that. It is the like original OG, you know, that's the imagery in it is so powerful. And yeah, it's a great one to start with. Um, a more modern take that has a very similar imagery and vibe to it is, um, the Lightseers Tarot. Okay. And it's absolutely beautiful, it's gorgeous, but it leans very much towards the traditional images. And so it gives you that, that slice of tradition, the original deck, but in a more modern, beautiful way. Because the Rider-Waite deck isn't particularly— if you've seen it, you'll know it's not the most, like, aesthetically pleasing. And but The Light Seers really is, and it draws on the tradition but in a really beautiful and modern way. So that is my go-to deck and I recommend it to everybody. Otherwise, I use the Golden Universal. That was my first deck, so it's very similar to the Rider-Waite, again a bit more aesthetically pleasing, and it's gold. It's got like that gold sheen to it, and I love that deck so much. I only read for myself with that deck, that's my baby. But that's a really good one to start with too. But ultimately it's whatever you're drawn to, so you'll feel, you can feel called like I did to a particular one and that's gonna be what resonates with you. So definitely those ones are great for beginners, but if there's one that really calls to you, I would say do that. Okay, so say someone's got, they've got, they've got Boa Pack and then they want to Can you give them like a little rough, like, a little mini masterclass here on tarot reading? So obviously there's different sections, it's a bit like a pack of playing cards, like you've got hearts and spades and that kind of thing. It's the same, and you can use playing cards to read tarot also. Yeah, you can. Oh, if they've got a pack of tarot cards, so now they've got cups and they've got swords and they've got coins and they've got, you know, the whole— so what is it like a rule of thumb for each one? Like, coins represent this, Cups represent like this, emotions, is it? So like, can you like just share a little bit of insight into the tarot so that if somebody picks up a packet they can kind of get started? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Um, I'm so excited we should all have one. Um, and definitely if you're drawn, definitely get them. And so the tarot is split into what they call Major and Minor Arcana, so they translate to the big secrets and the small secrets, the little secrets. And the Major Arcana, in my opinion, that's 22 cards, starts at 0, ends at 21, and they represent sort of life lessons, big things that we all go through. It's like that story of life, and each one has a particular meaning. And so they're very much— they're very distinct. And, um, for me, it just indicates kind of karma or lessons that we're learning they are— they're big, they hold big energy. And so to get lots of Major Arcana cards in a spread indicates big life changes, big things and big shifts happening. So, um, yes, that's the Major Arcana. And then as you were talking about with the Cups and the Pentacles, you have the Minor Arcana, and that's split into 4 sections, like a deck of cards is split into, into 4. And we have the Cups, which is all about our emotions. So that's the heart space, so anything to do with how we feel. And again, the tarot doesn't kind of shy away from the maybe more challenging side of life. So within those Cups, you'll get, ah, relationship, love, happiness, joy, and fulfillment. But also you'll get the sadness, the grief, the loss. And so you go from, you go from 1, which is the Ace, the beginning, to 10, which is the completion, the culmination of that suit. So Cups are everything to do with love, love for self, love for others, and all the emotions in between that. You then get the Wands, which is the suit of fire, and that's passion, drive, and spirit, and all of those, you know, go-getting, inspiring energies. And so, yeah, fire is about decision-making, action, action, movement, that yang energy. Then we have the Swords. Swords are our intellect, it's our mind, it's the way that we communicate. And often described as the most challenging of all the suits, it deals with those, um, it deals a lot with like heartbreak and the way that we can keep ourselves stuck with that, with our minds. So it is, they can be more challenging than the others. And then the final one is the Pentacles. Pentacles Pentacles is about abundance and our sense of groundedness. It's that earthly 3D. So Pentacles, we do with our money, our job, um, our home. It's that kind of energy. So you have the big secrets, the Major Arcana, the minor that split into Cups, which is our emotions, Wands, which is passion, fire, drive, Swords, our intellect, communication, and Pentacles, our money, our 3D reality. Interesting, because I think, um, I think people got a lot of misconceptions about tarot, especially when you see it in movies and such like, or horror movie, and it's quite a negative connotation. Or they always seem to pull out the, the card like the Devil card or the Death card, you know, when the character is about to die or something. But it doesn't really mean that, does it? So, um, if someone's listening and like maybe a little bit scared to touch them because they what's mean that. Do you want to just share what does the Devil card and the Death card actually really mean? Like, you know, do you know, I think that's so important that you bring that up because as soon as I read for anyone who's never had one before, that I hope I don't get the Death card. And there is such, such a, um, what's the word, um, there's some— it's like a universal fear, isn't it? And a belief. It's got a belief about it. It's because of all the horror movies that Hollywood have made. It's Oh, that's amazing. Like, no, no, no, no, no. It's really important that you bring it up. I love the Death card. Death for me is— it's known, um, as rebirth. So Death indicates the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. You know, Death is— you can be seen as a portal, right? So the end of one way of being and the beginning of a new way of being. I like see it as Phoenix rising. So whenever I get the Death card, it indicates that, you know, just as the Phoenix goes to ashes, it's like during that period where you've gone through the ashes, one cycle has ended, it's enabled you to then rise up again. So for me, it just indicates endings of cycles. So that death has to happen, the ending has to happen so that something else can be born. It's almost like one door closing so another one has to open. You know, it's that kind of— it is just deep transformation. Yeah, that Phoenix Rising. So people just feel like, oh my God, that just means death. But no, it doesn't mean it's a metaphorical death. It's that transformation that we go through as we change state, we change the way that we think or the way that we are, um, our outlooks on life. It just indicates that deep, like, soul-level transformation. So it's a really powerful one. Really powerful. It's a very positive card then, really, really positive. Yeah, absolutely. Um, and the Devil again is one of the other ones that people always fear. And the Devil for me just indicates anything that keeps us bound and stuck, anything that keeps us tied. Where we feel as if we're not in control or at the mercy, someone's pulling our strings like a puppet on the string. And, you know, they can just be the negative self-talk that we give ourselves, and it can indicate addiction as well. Not necessarily, like, you know, it just can be our addiction to, um, it's also coping mechanisms that aren't particularly healthy. So there definitely is any unhealthy ties that we we have towards something or someone. And it's just that indication, you know. What's beautiful about the Devil card is it's always depicted as two people next to him, or it's traditionally depicted— it's not always— and they're tied, but at any moment they can take that chain off, you know. They're completely free to. And so the lesson with the Devil is, you know, you're tied only as long as you choose to be. And so that's so empowering You know, we can often think of the devil having a hold on us, and though it does, we always have that opportunity to choose to change and to choose something new for ourselves, to choose something more healthy. So in that respect, for me, it's like it shows, ah, I'm repeating a pattern here, or there's something that's keeping me stuck. I'm not allowing myself to evolve. In some way, I'm resorting back to learned behaviors or Yeah, and it's that opportunity to choose to move beyond it. Lovely, that's really nice. What's your favorite card in the pack, in the tarot? Oh, that's a really tricky one. Um, don't tell the other ones, but my favorite is Judgment. So that's another Major Arcana card, and it's usually depicted as an angel waking the dead, you know, Judgment Day. It's the penultimate card before The World, which indicates completions. And for me, it's that end of karmic cycles. Um, and Judgment is this beautiful— it's the number 20. So the number 2 links to our intuition, that High Priestess, and 0, which is everything and nothing all at once. It's that infinite opportunity. And for me, it's a card of awakening. It asks you to stop existing and to live.. And it's like, are you going to take that opportunity? Are you going to rise up and follow that call of your soul? Are you going to listen to that inner knowing, that gut, however you resonate with it, you know, that you know you're being pushed to do, that like you're, you're meant to share? Are you going to do that? Are you going to make that decision? Are you going to get to the world? Are you going to complete that cycle, or are we going to go back, you know? Are you going to repeat? And it's that opportunity of It's just so perfect, that opportunity for completion, you know, to learn and to evolve and to rise. And I just love it so much. It's, yeah, that power of awakening, that realization that, oh my goodness, I've just been existing, now I can live. And yeah, that, that decision, that point where you're like, okay, do I do this? Do I, you know, rise to Judgment Day? Do I rise? Um, yeah, so that's my favorite one. It's just, yeah, it's got a gorgeous message. Yeah, that's a lovely one. What does the High Priestess do? You meant— you sort of touched on that. Yeah, she's also amazing. So the High Priestess, um, is— she's known as the mute, and so it's about listening rather than speaking. And she's about very much our inner knowledge, inner wisdom. And she says that we have all the answers, but we need within us if only we're quiet enough to take the time to listen. And so she reminds us of the power of solitude, of being on our own, and of taking the time to sit within that space and to, to feel into ourselves. And, you know, what is it that actually— you know, I'm— I— she reminds us we know all the answers, we have everything we need to heal, to move forward, to to make the decisions we need to make. It's just we busy ourselves. And she reminds us to come from that inner knowing rather than that logical mind. And that's why she's just the priestess, the feminine, because the feminine rules the heart and the masculine rules the mind. And so she's about— she has a veil behind her, and it's about that metaphorical veil, lifting that veil, so moving into that more subconscious conscious, kind of like moon energy. She's very much about that inner knowing and letting that guide you rather than your— what you feel you should do. It's like, well, what do I know deep down? How should I really be moving? So yeah, she's, she's great. I love the High Priestess. I could just say, listening all day, what does that one do? If you do a tarot masterclass, oh, I'd love I'm so passionate about it. It's like my first love. I just— it's changed my life, and that's no like exaggeration. It's just been the most beautiful gift, um, tapping into it. And I recommend, Emily, if anyone speaks German, please get yourself a deck. It's so magic. Um, and yeah, they speak to you so clearly. I might— sometimes a card will mean one thing one day, and with someone else, I'll get a completely different message. And it's like, no matter how many times I read, there's always something to learn, and it's just beautiful. It really is. And reading for others allows you to— you learn so much too as a reader. So yeah, it's like having your own little personal sounding board in your pocket. Yeah, let me just pull a card on that. Hang on a sec. And like I said, every day, Janine, every day I'll pull, I'll pull a card. Is that like a daily practice for you? Would you like every day pull a card for, you know, for the day? Like, or would you just draw one when you just want an answer to something? Like, how do you use it? Yeah, well, I started learning by drawing the card of the day. So when I was just brand new to it, I would pull one and I'd say, okay, at the start of the day, right, I'm gonna— I was so obsessed with learning it, like, I kid you not, it was like everything. And I'd pull one and I'd say, right, how is my— I'm gonna just reflect on the day, what's my initial thought with that card, and then how did what happened that day relate to it? And then you gain that personal recognition, or those experiences like link you to that card, those emotions that you felt that day, those experiences, and you can kind of weave that in. So I used to do that every day, and now it's kind of like, you know, a pull, maybe an oracle card or a tarot card, to be like, oh, what's the day going to be like? So I pulled one today, obviously, before, um, this— it was really beautiful. It was a beautiful one about the sort of Mother Nature and being in like, you know, that energy of like love and being feeling supported. So that was really lovely. But yeah, I will often pull one for the day, or at the end of the day I'll reflect and I'll pull maybe a couple. And but I always, always— this is my ritual— do a new moon reading for myself. So I ask what intention should I be setting, where should I be moving forward. And then the full moon I do like, what am I releasing? What's it— what do I need to realize? What needs to come to light for me? So I always do that. So it's like every 2 weeks I do a big reading for myself about where I'm going and then what I need to kind of let go and get rid of. And that's, that's been, yeah, it's massive for me to do that. It's really important. Do you use a certain spread? Because like a multitude of different spreads people can use, that they can pull like one card or the 3-card spread's quite good for like past, present, future. Is there one that you would recommend for like newbies to start with that might be a nice simple one for them to use? Yeah, no, for sure. It would be a good past, present, future one that you've just suggested, or one a day. One a day, yeah. So like putting one in the morning and then kind of getting a gut feel, writing down what your gut feel was. That's so important. And then reflecting at the end of the day, or how did my day link into that? How do the images that come up in card reflect kind of how I felt or what I went through. And it's amazing, kind of like, that's a really good way to learn and tap into each card because you'll have that personal connection, you know. When I pulled this card, this kind of stuff happened that day, and it kind of brings you back to that and you get to know them a little bit better. But the Past, Present, Future is a really good one. So 3 cards, I will often just pull 3 cards on something now and like piece them all together And so 3 cards is that perfect. I don't know why, it just is. The number 3 is just, it's just a magical number. But yeah, 3 cards is the perfect one. Past, present, future. You could ask about anything. And while you're learning, it's kind of great to ask about things you already know about because then you'll know whether, like, and then you can kind of relate the cards that come up to what you know already. And we're always tempted to ask about the future, but learning is probably good to kind of reflect on the past. Give me the lottery numbers! Again, if only. So you touched— you just sort of touched on it, you mentioned oracle cards, which are different. Yeah, I'm gonna explain what they are and how they differ. Yeah, for sure. Um, so I love to read with a mixture of both. Um, so the tarot has that set, um, Major Arcana, those 20 you've got 22 cards and you've got the minor, and it's— but like, that's the same in every tarot deck. You will have that universally, you know, or the imagery will change, they might change the names, but it is— that's the tarot. And oracle cards can be kind of around anything. So I love animal ones, they're just a very gentle— so it's a deck of cards with little messages and, um, images like pictures that give you like guidance and, and support, I guess. Is the best way to describe it. So you can get angel cards, so it'll be with different archangels and there'll be a message attached to that card. It often has like, um, a sentence or two on it, um, or an animal card. So it's about using the animal's energy and a message from that. So they're very gentle, they're a really nice way to start if you're like, oh, tarot, um, the oracle cards are really beautiful because they're very gentle, but they have that same kind of It's like that gateway drug into tarot. Let's get my daily hit of tarot card. You know, it's a much softer energy than, than the tarot is. And yeah, they just have— it's just beautiful for guidance. Like I said, I pulled an oracle card this morning. You'll just generally have a couple of words that you can resonate with that's really loving, really supportive. And it can be Oracle Oracle cards could be— you can literally find them about anything. Um, if you just type in oracle cards, you can see a huge selection and there'll be something that resonates for everybody. And I love the Nanamal deck. Nanamal deck. Okay. Yeah, they usually come with a little booklet as well, don't they? Yeah. So they'll say something on the card and then they'll have a little booklet with an explanation of what each card is inside. So it is a good starting place. It really is. And they're really like the pictures are so detailed and so poignant as well. Like, whenever you draw one, you're like, wow, like, it, it is amazing. So it gives that sense of awe and wonder. Yes, love it. Again, no lottery numbers, sadly. No, sadly not. Someone needs to do. Oh, so how could somebody have a reading with this? Somebody listening wants to have a reading with you. How do they, how do they get contact with you, Hannah? The best way is, um, via my Instagram, so a DM on my Instagram, um, which is Navigating Your North Node. You can also, um, find a link to my Etsy shop there as well, um, if you wanted to, and that describes the readings in a little bit more depth. And yeah, you can choose based on that. And so yeah, Instagram is the perfect place to do it and we can chat. Is the Etsy— is your Etsy shop where you sell your crystals? Crystals? Uh, I did start doing that, but actually the turnover is so quick that it's not been beneficial. The best way for crystals is on Instagram. So I'm putting up kind of like every week or so, a couple of days, like ones that I have. And so, um, and there'll be videos and things. You can just, um, DM me if you're interested in them because it just, it goes so quickly, um, that when I put it up, as soon as you end it up, it's gone. So it didn't seem— yeah, it didn't seem like, you know, the best way to do it. But I did use Etsy for a little bit, but now Instagram is much— it's just much more efficient, really. Um, and then, yeah, if you follow me, there's new stuff all the time, so I'll always be showcasing the new, the new lot. And you sell, um, conscious crystals, don't you? Do you want to explain what that is? Yeah, so it's really important. Um, The, the wholesaler that I work with, they have been building their business for 20+ years. They, they're a husband and wife team, and they're so passionate about the ethical sourcing of crystals. And they started it because when they wanted to create their own crystal business, they couldn't find anyone that they believed were sourcing them ethically, and that just didn't sit right with them. And so every person that they buy crystals from, they know personally. They've had dinner with them, they know their family, they've known them for 20+ years, and they've created this beautiful relationship with them. And so they're friends, and, you know, it's so important to them that that is, you know, the principle of the business. And so they have, they have done this and lovingly created this beautiful, um, yeah, this beautiful foundation for over 20 years, and so I know that where my crystals are sourced from, everyone who's been involved in it has been treated really fairly, and that there's a lot of love in each one because they've got this beautiful relationship. And you know it's the real deal as well, not just a fancy coloured stone that someone's palming off as a crystal. Exactly, they've worked hard, they've travelled there, they've been there, they've been in the mines. They've, you know, they've talked and, you know, gone through it themselves. They're very, very involved in the process. And yeah, yes, and yes, no crystals were harmed in the making of these crystals. Yeah, I just had a flashback to Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie Blood Diamond. I don't know why. No blood crystals sold at this None of those. None of those. Oh, this is lovely. So what else would you share with us? We've got a few minutes left. I'm absolutely loving this conversation. It's brilliant. What else could you share? What other little gems, if you excuse the pun, could you share with us? I absolutely love that. We have not made enough use of the puns. We need to rock them out. There we go, there we go. So I could share one of my more personal favorites, I guess. Yeah, go, go for it. Yeah, so it's probably more unheard of, but my favorite, favorite stone is called chrysocolla, and I'm on like a mission. It's this bluey green. I've got the bracelet on at the moment, and it's known as the goddess stone. The reason I love it so much is it just embodies that mother fire energy. It looks like the world— if you have like in a sphere, you've got those, um, kind of blue for the sea and then the green for the land. And it just really reminds me of that. It's the most balancing, calming, soothing stone ever. When I was going through a really emotional time, I wore that on my wrist, on my bra, every single day. And I would notice if I didn't have it. It just brought me into this beautiful state of just of calm and just rest. I just, you know, when your mind's going a million miles an hour and you're hurting, it was just the most soothing, lovely grounding energy. And it's just— I— it's actually the first crystal I ever picked up, and then it's kind of like gone full circle, and then I was drawn to it again really recently, and I was like, oh man, I remember this was the first one. The most soothing. I'm literally on a mission to convert everyone to chrysocolla. It's Yeah, but really just especially for the feminine, it embodies all of that like gentle, loving, nurturing, grounded, kind of emotionally grounded energy. So I can't recommend it enough, even if you feel quite grounded. It's just so— I don't know, it's just so soothing, it's just so lovely. It's a beautiful stone, beautiful. I don't think many people have heard of it. I've not heard of that one. How do you spell that? I'll spell it for you. Excuse me, I'm testing your knowledge here, Anna. How do you spell that? I'll pop that on my, um, I'll pop that on my Instagram with a link to your Instagram and your site, everybody. So if you, if you don't remember what that is, don't worry, I'll pop it in there with the correct spelling. You can source, you can go source some amazing crystals from Hannah, and I know that your crystals are ethically sourced. I've actually purchased some, but I'm wearing some of yours on my wrist right now. Yeah. Hannah, it was absolute pleasure having you on. We've run out of time. I could keep chatting to you all day, but thank you so much. That was really, really, really interesting. I've loved that. I think what you're doing and bringing out into the world is beautiful, helping people one soul at a time with your lovely readings and beautiful crystals. So keep doing that. Sending you lots of love. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, and I'm sure our listeners have absolutely loved it. Um, and I want to thank everyone for listening. We're on at 9 AM and 9 PM every day, uh, amazing guests each week. This, this week's guest has obviously been Hannah. She's been wonderful. Um, I hope you keep listening, and remember to hit us up on our socials and click like, and I will put all the details on my Janine Newbery Instagram and Eat Love Doers as well. Thank you so much for listening. See you next time.
