Right, now that's all out of the way. I've got the lovely Laura, and she is the founder of Purple Snorkel. She, I met Laura through a belief code. We're both belief coding facilitators and I met her when we were doing the training. She is amazing and definitely a soul sister. I love this woman. I had to get her on the show. She's creating some amazing things. She's showing up in the arena in a big way and she's going to help change people's lives and you are going to love her. So welcome, welcome to the show. Hello. So I'm just so happy to be here and so excited to be here. Thank you so much for bringing me on your show, Janine. Yeah, welcome. Do you want to just share with people who you are and what you do? So yeah, just share a little bit about yourself and we'll get started. Yeah, cool. So who I am now is a coach. So I'm a transformation coach, really helping people to step into their power, find out who they are and, and see that future version of themselves and really getting them to tune into that and finding the easiest and most aligned way for them to get to that place. Yeah. And, um, who I am. So it wasn't that long ago I had zero confidence. I didn't believe in myself. I was in this place of an employee mindset, like part-time job, mum to the kids. I didn't know who I was. And working on mindset and stepping into that myself and going through this journey that I've been on, I've just totally transformed everything, everything. So, um, yeah, I'm just loving the fact that I'm here now to help other people to do exactly the same. You know, in the time that I've known you, if when you told me you didn't have any confidence before, I wouldn't believe that about you knowing you now, because you're just like this bubble of energy. You've just got so much love and wisdom to share with everyone, and you just seem like the most confident person. So the journey that you've been on and what you're about and the way you're going to help people and teach them as well, I can see how it's going to help them with their confidence and their journey and who they are in their life. So I would never know, never know. Just, you're just like glowing, like a glowing ball of energy. So Seriously, right, when I was— my last job that I had, um, I used to sit in the corner like a mouse because I didn't have the confidence. I didn't think I was good enough, um, to converse with any of the other people because they were all proper people. They were all worthy of like success and amazing careers. And I'd lost all my identity when I had the children, so I was just mum. That was all I was, um, and that's what I saw myself as, you know. And I think that journey's quite common for a lot of women who have children. They just lose themselves completely. And yeah, 100%. I think it's common for women in general actually, because you go through different stages in your life, but particularly mum, mums as well. Um, but I think it's amazing. So how did you get started on this journey and what worked for you that's transformed you into where you are now? Well, I have to say, the universe just totally catapulted me. So So I started by, um, I— there's a really long story, I'm not going to bore you with it, but, um, I ended up having to leave my job because there was just trying to— it was just horrible. I ended up not eating. There was loads of stuff going on, loads of office politics. And but during that time, I started— I didn't think I was good enough to be a business owner. What I was good enough to do was do the admin for businesses. So I started a virtual assistant sort of— I wouldn't say business because I didn't think it was a business, but I just started charging my time out as a freelance virtual assistant. And And over the years I built the confidence in myself, I expanded that, I started charging more and more and more as my confidence grew, worked on my own mindset. And then I started working with a coach who said to me, Laurie, you should become a confidence coach and help other women do this. And because I was charging like £35 an hour, just working the hours I want around the kids and I'm home. And so yeah, then I started with the confidence coach, a VA coach. And then it's just transitioned into a transformational coach. So now I work with, um, any— literally anybody who knows that there's more for them. They know they've got that calling, you know, that's something deep down, even if they don't know what that looks like yet, you know. They might just have this feeling that, you know, there's something else. This 9-to-5 world is not for me. I want to be free. I want to have that flexibility, and I want that freedom and that financial freedom as well, because money mindset, obviously, you know, you know. Oh yes, it's massive, isn't it? Like, I think money's like a big trigger for a lot of people. I think they're, um, we've all got money blocks, we've all got money things that we grew up believing about money, obviously, as you know. And I think that sometimes, I think particularly women are scared to ask to be paid for things or know their worth in money. Men seem to have this less than women for some reason. I don't know why, but as women it's almost like we feel like we should give more and we should get less back in learn, especially mums. Yeah. So, um, so yeah, I think this is a huge thing. Huge, huge thing. Yeah. So, um, so tell me about the course that you're about to release at the end of the month. Right, okay. It sounds so exciting. So this journey that the universe has taken me on. So at the start of, um, at the start of 2020, right, I, I was taken on this journey of like awakening to all of this stuff going on in the world, but also at the same time exposed to the whole idea of the law of attraction manifestation. So it's almost like the two of those things are exactly what's been dropping into my awareness and marrying the two things up to bring me now this to this place of launching this program. And what that looks like is it's aimed at people who are starting to ask questions about what is actually going on in the world. You know, obviously we can see those big institutions falling. Everything that we have been told to think and believe and trust is now actually coming into question. And I think more and more people are starting to see and realize those things now. So instead of falling into that place of fear where we're supposed to be, because if you watch the news or if you watch media, that's like exactly where they keep you, isn't it? In that place of fear. It's understanding why we're in that place, but also taking back our power. To take us out of that fear, to understand that yes, there is a bigger energy, yes, there is something bigger than us, and we can tap into that because that is in us, it's in all of us, and we've all got access to this amazing energy, to this amazing power. And once we harness that, and once we learn that actually we've got the power to create our own reality, which obviously we're never taught in the external world, um, but it's just, it's about going on that journey from that place of fear and feeling like we're a victim because the external world is dictating who are. No, it's not. We've got all this power inside ourselves, and once we harness that, we can literally create our reality. So it's, yeah, it's taking people on that journey to that place where they know literally we can be and we can do and we can have anything that we want. And the only limitations that we have have been programmed into us from this system. And once we're willing to open our eyes to that and raise our conscious awareness, then we can, we can blast all that out of the water. We can do the inner work and we can tap into that energy. Yeah, this is, this is incredible, isn't it? Because our beliefs run our lives and run how we think about ourselves, others, the world, how we make choices every day. And what you're sort of talking about there is those societal beliefs that are installed in us from childhood. We've got beliefs that are installed in us from our parents, beliefs that are installed in us when we're at school, around our peers, our teachers, uh, what we see on the media, what we see in, you know, newspapers, magazines, everywhere. And then the sort of societal ones and We get like bombarded with all these, all these beliefs. So no wonder we lose who we are and then we become unsure about, you know, what our purpose is in life or lose our way or what our identity is or be afraid. I think newspapers should be called the Daily Fearmonger. 100%. But it's like, yeah, that's the thing. It's like it's literally there to keep you small. Even the whole entire education system. And this is something that I'm so passionate about because the amount of women I've coached over the past few years, the amount of fears and confidence problems and blocks that they have as a result of the school system and how it is set. So obviously I've got two teenage daughters and they're both in school and I've said to them, do not worry about a grade for your GCSE because there's, what, 10, 11 subjects there and you're going to— they're going to put your self-worth against a grade. On a subject you're not even interested in. But going back to the whole school system, I mean, obviously, you know, learning, learning to read and to write and to do the numbers and all of the primary school stuff. Yes, absolutely. We need that. But what is so important is that when we come to this earth, we all have a passion, we all have a gift, we all have something individual that we have that is completely unique to us that we can bring to the earth. And when we go through the school system, we're taught to bury that. Bury that under this stuff that we're told to think and believe and not ask questions and do it our way and forget your way, forget your passions, forget your feelings, forget your emotions. And then no wonder when we come out the other side, we feel like, we feel like we're a round peg trying to fit into a square hole. And then they put a price tag on that. Oh, this is this salary, you're worth this salary, this is what you're worth. So no wonder so many of us go through this place of feeling this massive, like, low self-worth or no confidence to then step into our power, to then move into that thing that we know innately is in us. You know, when we're born and we come to this earth, we know we've got something to bring. And it's just about unpeeling all that, you know, all those layers and layers and layers of years and years and years of stuff. It's true, isn't it? Because, like, you might be amazing at English and writing but terrible at math, and then, you know, or really bad at sports or vice versa. And then you kind of demoralize in one area and then you do really well in another. But I guess it's kind of how you understand what you're good at in life. But also, you know what, there are schools like when I was living in Bali, there's a school called the Green School and the way that they taught kids. So they did the sort of regular curriculum stuff, you know, and then they had kids work on their passion projects. Ah, you see, that's different. And I think that's amazing. Yeah, incredible. So it was fostering and developing their skills and passions and the things they're innately good at. So they're learning all the things they needed to learn for the world. But they were developing their actual genius and their skill set. So when they, you know, left and went out into the world to, to create a career or a business or, or whatever, that they were so finely tuned in knowing what they live and what they want to create and be in the world. It's like a whole different level. It was absolutely amazing. Yeah, I can really see that schools will hopefully start going in that direction. Yeah, yeah, they have to do— they absolutely have to do. But at the moment, like for both of my girls, they're both doing business studies thinking that, you know, mum's got her own business, we're going to set up a business. It's absolutely crazy, Janine, what they come home with. It's like business studies as a subject is there to scare them into taking massive debts, massive loans, and working out all of these figures and stuff that they don't actually need. And I sit down with them, I'm like, okay, what do you want to do? What's your passion? Let's start this, we can create this and we can do this. And they're like, That's so easy, Mum. Why is the business studies teacher telling us that we need to sell huge corporations and have all of this liability on our heads and stuff? And it's just— I just, I just want to set people free from, you know, they can— anyone can do anything. It's just the limitations in our heads and our beliefs that's stopping us. Yeah. So what advice would you give to someone who's going through this right now, who wants to make that change, but it's like, I don't know, I don't know where to start. Like, I don't know what to do. Yeah, it's a difficult one. So when you're thinking about what to do, as in what subject or what, um, what business you want to bring to the world, what I would say is think about what your passion is. And, and this is a tough one as well because sometimes, you know, it's, it's, it's when people say as well, what, what do you enjoy? What, what brings you joy? What do you have? What's— what do you find that's fun in the world? Because when was the last time we actually thought, what do we want to do? What is going to bring us joy? We never think about these things, do we? Because again, society keeps us so busy with day-to-day stuff that we never get a chance to think about these things. But we really just need to take that time back and think, what do I actually want to do with my time? Does that mean picking up a paintbrush? Does that mean, you know, going for a walk? Or what is that? And once you find that, you find your passion, think about how you can use that to help other people. Or another good way to look at this is ask your friends and family, what do they see in you? What is it that you bring to them? What do they come to you for? Because often we do things and we don't feel like there's a value to it because it comes naturally to us. So an example of that is, um, an example I used to give to people when I was a virtual assistant and all of my family, they would all come to me for organizing things. If something needed organizing, Laura will organize it. She's really good at organizing things. I just thought that was easy because that was natural and I wouldn't put a price tag on that. Whereas to be an events organizer or to start a business as an events organizer, you can, you can make a decent, you know, income doing that. So it's just about marrying up your passions and then putting a price tag on it. Yeah, I think I've been guilty of that in the past a lot as well, like doing things for people for free because it's really easy. So not seeing the value in it then myself, or, you know, and just, and just doing it and giving, giving, giving, and then at some point getting burnt out and then thinking, hang on, I need to fill up my cup and take care of myself rather than just keep giving to everyone else. I'm sure there's women listening that have been in the same place as you and me and kind of like, oh, So it's all right if you're in that space, don't worry, there's light at the end of the tunnel. Take a deep breath and there's a way through it. I always say so. I've never been big on fashion or style. I always say for me to come across a lady who can look at colouring and pick out new clothes and, you know, sometimes this comes really easy to some women. I would love to work with somebody like that because I would love somebody to say, Laura, try this on and wear this and, you know, put this with that. So whatever it is, you know, it might feel really trivial. Somebody might have an eye for understanding what, um, haircut would suit a certain face, or what— do you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Whatever comes easy to you is your thing, or part of your thing, or a clue as to what your thing is. Yeah, and it can be anything like cooking, interior design, um, I don't know, really good at listening to people and giving them advice. You'd probably be a good coach or counselor and So yeah, what you do, what do you do naturally, um, other people come to you for could be a good way of working out what your purpose is. Yes. Oh, hang on a minute, what did I say? I worked with, um, one lady I worked with, she, um, she really wanted to find a man, so she started creating dinner parties, um, just in her local area. And that took off really, really well. It was like Come Dine with Me, but just locally. And, you know, just finding something like that that you enjoy, that you love, that you, you know, it's just naturally and easy to— yeah, that's brilliant. Literally the man of her dreams turned up at her door. That's brilliant. Okay, so what is next for you? We've got this course coming out. What else are you working on? Like, what's, what's going on? What's going on? What realistically are downloads? Which world are we talking? But you just mentioned downloads then. Do you want to just share with everyone what you mean by that? Yeah, how, how, how we can we go here? As you like, bring it on. Okay, so we know there's a universe, a spirit creator, God, whatever resonates. It's that higher energy that's around us. Yeah. And are most people aware of this, or is this still a bit out there for— just, yeah, I think some people are aware, some are not, but just, just to share. Okay, so the energy that is there, whatever, whatever resonates with people, um, we can, we can all tap into it. It's there. And when you think with your brains and your minds, like, we're all taught to think with our minds, aren't we, all of our lives. But if we drop into our heart space, we turn on something called intuition or gut feeling. And that intuition, that gut feeling is your connection to this higher energy that's there. And that's probably the easiest way to explain it. When you follow your intuition, that is what gets you to your dreams, your goals in the easiest way possible, the quickest way possible. Sometimes it doesn't make sense. Sometimes it's really random and you cannot logically understand it. That is because your intuition is connected to like a much higher um, version of you with a much bigger perspective than what you've got with your mind, which is programmed in this little existence that we're living in now. Yeah. So going back to your question, so sorry, yeah, the downloads. So this higher perspective has given me, um, tidbits of information of what's going to be happening for me. Um, and I don't know how that's going to happen, I don't need to know how that's going to happen, but I know that the universe is taking me on this journey to fulfill the role that I came here on Earth to fulfill. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, I get downloads as well, but I'm always interested to know how other people describe it and what their perception of that is. And I think it's great that we have this conversation and share it because, um, I think when people hear what this is, they'll probably go, oh, I do that, I get like a thought about something, or I get a gut feeling on something, or I just sometimes I just know about something or a person. That's your intuition. That is a down— that's what's known as the download. And you can get it in different ways, like a feeling, it can be a thought, it can be words sometimes, it can be a visual thing that you see in your mind about something, an image. And that is a download, that's your intuition, um, guiding you. So when these things happen to follow it. So yeah, so great. So thanks for sharing that because I think we need, we need to have these conversations to know people that this is normal and this is like that inner guidance system that we should be following. Yeah. Yeah. Because, because I think you, as you know, that when we follow this inner guidance system, everything tends to work out for us. When we ignore it and our fears and ego get in the way or we do what we think we should be doing, we just end up shitting all over ourselves and then ending up sort of going completely off track and becoming burnt out and, you know, and trapped and stuck in this, in the space that we're in. So yeah, I like that. I love your explanations. Very good. Very good. Gold star. Gold star. Thank you. Thank you very much. No, it's good. I think these are the kind of conversations I love having, um, because I think the world is starting to wake up and we're starting to understand that there is more and people are sharing more. And I think social media and shows like this I've created a real platform for people to learn things that they wouldn't normally learn. So I think it's great that we've got someone like you stepping up into the arena and sharing and educate the world and move us forward into this next kind of era that we're going into. So this is brilliant. Share as much as you want, my love. Share away. Share everything you want to share. What do you think we should talk about? I mean, for me, I think when I first— and maybe it's— hmm, right. So I'm going to explain this because this might be a bit just to help people get their head around if this is sort of maybe the first time that they're hearing this. But when I, I was brought up, um, in a, in a religious family, we was very Christian. Um, so when I first started learning about manifesting and energy and that there is an energy, for me it was like this massive conflict in my head because for me God was on a cloud. He was like this big man with a really deep voice who was really judgmental, and I was really scared because it was a fear-based thing, religion. And it was really quite a, um, a transition for me to understand that actually, yes, there is an amazing energy which is literally just love, and there is no fear and no judgment. And my connection to that is not through another person, a priest, or a church, or an institution. My connection to that is direct. It's in my heart, and I can feel it. We all can. We just need to get out of our heads and think about our hearts. And a really easy way to do that is just put your hands on your heart and just close your eyes and just breathe into your heart and feel that energy. And you'll feel, you'll feel it. I don't know, do most people— do you feel, do you feel it in your heart? Because it's different for everybody. Some people get, like you say, voices. Some people get pictures. So it's totally different. But for me, when I talk about If I say like God in my house, my kids are like, Mommy, you're turning religious. And my husband was brought up Jehovah's Witness, so he's like, he's got this really bad attachment to the idea of God as well. And so that's why when I talk about this, I'm like, Spirit, Creator, whatever you want to call it, God, because we've all got, we've all got this programming, haven't we, of what that is. So it's, it's a, it's a triggering word, isn't it? There's a lot of meaning put on beliefs ironically beliefs, but beliefs put on the word God or certain words. And yeah, and that can really trigger you. But if you put different labels on it, like the universe, love, source, connection, Allah, whatever, I don't know, it's all the same thing. It's just a different label. Exactly. You change the label and people, it's really interesting, like human behavior, people are able to go, oh, well, I can cope with that then. I can cope with that word, but not the other word, even though you're talking about the same thing. It's really fascinating. Yeah, something to think about. So if you're trying to share stuff, you listen to this, this show now thinking, I want to share some of the concepts from the show or things I believe in. Sometimes just changing the word and making it in a way that people can understand it can make you, you know, be able to get that point across and get them to understand it and not have the walls put up. Yeah. Say something like God and start talking about religion stuff. Sometimes people's walls go up because all their beliefs, sort of like they come up, don't they? Like a big brick wall and get in the way. And we do that in our lives with different stuff. Like with money stuff, relationship stuff, things about our weight, business, career, anything. It's just our beliefs, like a little brick wall of beliefs that we put up in front of us when actually all those beliefs are just constructs in our mind that we've created, we've collected from birth to now. Yeah. And once you really realize you've got the power to clear those beliefs out and work with someone like we were, both belief coding facilitators, so we know how powerful this is and how quickly it is to be able to get into the subconscious mind. And shift them, like it is literally life-changing. So, and it's fascinating that this stuff is not taught in schools because this would, it would just change the world. I think if this stuff was taught in school. It's like the idea of money. So I was always brought up with lack, lack, lack, lack. Everything was a struggle. But money is just an energy. It's like we're taught, aren't we, that we're in this world of lack, like Apparently the governments are in however many what debt. They literally print the money. It's literally paper. It's not even backed by anything, right? It is just energy. But because we're pushing it away, because we have these belief systems in us that we have to work hard for money, we have to struggle, we have to work long hours, we have to sacrifice, we have to sacrifice our families if we want to have this level of salary. And, and they're just beliefs. They're just beliefs. And like you say, you just put up these walls But like you say, with the belief coding, you start to tap away at those things. And when you start to tap away at those things, you're letting the flow of money into your world and it just comes easily and effortlessly, especially when you start to follow your intuition and you get rid of the resistance. And that's when everything changes. And that's like, that's like the goal. That's just like the goal, you know, everything changes at that point. What beliefs did you have about money? So we'll use that as an example because I think everyone can relate to money because, you know, we all need it. We've all got our own stuff around it. So what beliefs did you have around money when you started this journey? What have you shifted and changed, and how has that impacted your life now? Absolutely loads. Now, two I'm going to mention mainly is money is evil, money is the root of all evil, because I think especially with us talking about the whole religion God thing, this is a strong one, and this is one that was really ingrained in me because I had an auntie, and I remember my mum and dad would always say this auntie was really bad because she had all of the money and she put the money in front of everything else. And really, now I recognize that was just coming from a place of lack and probably jealousy as well. So for me, I'd probably subconsciously pushed money away because I didn't want those labels. I didn't want people to think I was bad or evil or greedy or any of those labels. Um, and the other main one for me is My dad used to work really long hours. He was always stressed. He'd come into the house, you know, we'd all have to be really, really quiet. There was never any fun. And he ended up getting diabetes and depression. And basically his whole health was sacrificed because of working. And he was the breadwinner. My mum just worked a few hours a week, whereas my dad was the worker. So obviously I have that attached. So when I started my business and I didn't want to increase my pricing because subconsciously if I increased my pricing, my health would suffer. Yeah. Or I would have to work harder, and that meant that I won't be able to have fun with children because that was what the behaviors I'd seen growing up. Yeah. It's amazing that we're doing things that we're not even consciously aware of why we're doing it, so you would get physically ill and actually have actual symptoms in your body because you had this belief linked to what you saw happen to your dad when you were younger. It's incredible, isn't it? And now you've had this realization and you've obviously done the work and shifted it. What's the difference now? So the difference— the difference, I know, it's absolutely crazy. And this relates back to a question you asked me earlier of like, what's coming next? So I've got this huge lodge, I had this amazing opportunity to come my way, literally manifested, like ridiculous. So I'm gonna have this launch of my program at the end of this month, but then I'm going to be rinse and repeat in that. So that means once I've launched this program, it means a few hours a week of worth of work for me, and it will be bringing me a really decent chunk of money every month. And that can be— that's just as consistent as I want it. And that totally frees up my time then to work with my one-to-one clients and do everything else that I want to do. Travel, which is something that is like massively in heart. I think I've spoken to you before, haven't I, about, um, we've got a place in the Caribbean and we spend most of the winters there. And this is the thing that we're going to be stepping into as well. Yeah, traveling through summer. Again, this lifestyle is something that has been a dream, and obviously doing the work, the inner work, the belief work, the mindset work, manifesting stuff, it's totally a reality now. So life's just changing. Life's just utterly limitless. And I know I'm going to be bringing events to the world and I'm going to be doing lots of traveling. I know I'm going to be running retreats and I just know these things from that intuitive level. I know it's going to happen. Don't ask me how. I know I'm going to have a yacht in the Caribbean as well. I know I'll be on that yacht with you sipping champagne. I say this and people in the normal world, people in the real world, let's just say realistic people, like, how's she gonna do that? Is she a millionaire? You say realistic people, right? But what that really means is just people that haven't worked on their own beliefs, right? So running their life from, um, the conditioning that they've taken aboard from childhood. But what you just shared then is that you, you used to live like that, like everybody's, and believing what we're all taught at school and so on, and get a job, and that that's, that's how things are, 9 to 5. But you've done that work on yourself. You've basically done the inner work, you've done the belief work, uh, in the subconscious mind. And because you've done that work inside, the internal work, your external world has shifted massively. You're now living the life that you absolutely love. You're creating this amazing lifestyle. You're able to just build and create what you want. You, you create an amazing course that's coming out next at the end of this month, which I know about, which you're sharing about, and it, it's just transformed your life. And I think if anyone's listening and they're thinking, it's not possible for me, or how can I do it, this is how you do it, guys. You do— you find someone, a coach. It could be someone like me and Laura, or, you know, jump on Laura's course end of this month. Do that inner work, and then your, your outer world changes. It's like you've got to do it inside out. I think most people they try and do it outside in, don't they? They try and wait for the, uh, they want to know like the how to build a business, how to get the money, and they're so focused on like the end results of the outer stuff, they don't do the inner work to change themselves. But if you change yourself internally, the actions and things that you create in the way that you be naturally creates what you want in the world. You've got to do that inner work first. And I think that's what people are just starting to realize now, which is why I think there's so many coaches coming to the workplace and into the world. Not doing as good a work as us. I believe in it. Everything is energy. Everything is energy. This is what we've talked about— universe, creator, God, Source, whatever— it is energy. And once we realize that we can create with that energy, you know, whether or not we look into quantum physics, Dr. Joe Dispenza, if we look at manifesting, whatever it is, once we realize that, once we've got that energy in alignment and we know how we can manage that and create with that, knowing that, knowing that we don't have those blocks, those beliefs, once we've cleared all of those out and we can create, then I can comfortably say, listen, I'm going to have a superyacht in the Caribbean and I know it. And I'm confident saying that to anybody because I know it's going to happen. Now, I don't have like, I don't have, you know, rich relatives that are going to leave me massive amounts of money. But I know it's going to happen. I don't know how it's going to happen. I just know it's going to happen. And to come from that place of knowing, because I've seen enough miracles now in my life, I've got all of my trust, all of my knowing, because I've just seen, I've just seen enough miracles now to know that I can confidently say it's going to happen. Well, I'm sure we'll all be waiting to see what you create and bring more into and just like how your life unfolds. Fantastic. How can people find you, by the way? Like, what's your social media handles or website? Okay, so Purple Snorkel, um, so I think Instagram's purple_snorkel. I've got an Awakening to Freedom— Awaken to Freedom with Laura, I think, um, Facebook group. And you'll see all of my links on, um, the website purplesnorkel.co.uk and forward slash links, and you'll get all the links to everything on there. Better get that in there before we— and then I'll be like, they'll be like, where do we find her? Sorry. So what tips could you give to someone who's listening now? So they want to get started, they've been completely inspired by what you said, they want to get started and start having a bit of this for themselves, this, uh, you know, what, what could, um, like what tips or little things you could give them now that they could start applying today to start making those shifts and changes? So I think number one is be aware of how you feel all of the time. You know, from a young age we're told to squash our emotions, our feelings don't matter. They are the number one indicator of how in alignment you are with that higher energy. Okay, so the second you wake up, try and get into the habit of smiling. And as you lay there in your bed, before you even open your eyes, just smile. And then just think about things to be grateful for, like I'm so comfy in my bed right now. My pillow is so comfy. I am so thankful that I had a really good night's sleep in my house with a roof over my head where I am safe and warm and protected. I am so grateful I've got water next to my bed so I can drink it. I'm so grateful that when I turn my kettle on or my coffee machine, it works. Yeah, because so often if the kettle or the coffee machine doesn't work, we would let that affect us. It would— that start our day in a bad way. But how often do we take that time to actually be grateful that the coffee machine works, that the kettle works, that the water's coming out the tap? Yeah, so it's just twisting your mindset. Set that intention: I am gonna have a brilliant day today, and I am going to notice everything that goes well. Because when you set your day like that, you will start to notice more and more things going well. And that's just the first, the first sort of step to get into that energy alignment. I like that. I like— everyone sort of talks about gratitude now, don't they? It's like banded around, it's like one of the most popular words out there, especially in personal development. But I like the way you've just kind of framed it up, that be grateful just for the little things, the things that we just take for granted every day. Like, people are sort of— when they, when they say what they're grateful for, they think of the big things generally, or like really sort of, you know, like they think it has to be really, really big and they've got to feel really massively grateful. But if, if you can just be grateful for every single thing in your life and just keep doing it all day and keep saying that, you keep priming your, your mindset and your subconscious mind for happiness, gratitude, and like actually really loving your life and being happy. And for everything, just even the little things like the coffee machine working. Like, I love that my coffee machine works every day. Yes, I'm definitely grateful for that. But I love that— be grateful for everything, not just the big thing. I've got a free download. I— in, in the links you'll find a free download. It's a free— it's like a 20-minute masterclass of just blitzing all of these little ideas together to just really help people to start controlling that mindset. Okay. And because you do start to see miracles happening, you know, just changing little things, you start to see things, you know, lining up really easily. Um, yeah. And then when you start seeing those little things and then you're grateful for the little things, bigger things happen and bigger things happen. And then you get to the point where even if something seems to go wrong, you know it's not gone wrong. You know it's worked for you, but you don't know what it is yet. But you know that that thing happened for a reason. For example, if your car breaks down and you sat there, it could be easy to think, oh damn, that's happened. Everything goes wrong, it goes my way. But I would sit there now like, cool, okay, universe, what's this about? What are you teaching me? What are you showing me? What's the bigger picture? You know, because I know everything goes my way because my vibe is so high all the time. I'm not going to let it drop. So I know nothing's going to go wrong in my life because I'm not attracting that. I'm only attracting good things into my life. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes the things that we, um, we think are a bad thing, like losing a job or a relationship breakup, for example, we can think it's devastating and a big bad thing, but actually what can happen from that is we end finding a new job or a career or a better relationship with someone who's amazing and realized that how bad the last one was. Because you never— yeah, so sometimes things are taken from us or happen to in our life to put us on a path to the thing that's really going to bring us happiness and fulfillment. Yeah, 100%. 100% on with that. The amount of times something has gone wrong in our house and my husband and the kids are like, ah, and I'm just dancing around, I'll put music on, I'll be like, yeah, keeping my vibration high because because if I drop my vibration, then I know I'm letting in things that might not be good. Do you know what I mean? So I'm just saying, I'm just ignore it. And, and then before long, the situation's turned itself around and it's actually got the positive outcome. So it's, it's all energy, it's all a choice. And no matter where you are, you always have a choice to try and increase your energy. Um, you can just change your perspective, look at something a little bit differently. And that's why I said about the small things, because, you know, sometimes when people are down in the dumps and there's something that has apparently gone wrong in their lives, it's difficult to feel gratitude. But if you really just think, actually, do you know what? I'm sat in my chair and it's actually very comfy and I'm enjoying the froth on my coffee today. And, you know, I've got a pen that works. It works. I don't have to search around the house for a pen that works because I've got a pen that works in my hand. Do you know what I mean? I think they did a survey or something. It was years and years ago, and on the happiest people and people that lived the longest, and they did this big questionnaire thing, and the people that seem to be the happiest and have the healthiest and best sort of health, longest life, health, you know, lived healthy to old age, were people that, um, like lived sort of in the moment, were really grateful for everything that they had, just the small things, were so happy and appreciative. With just a little, like almost less, that they didn't need more. And, and, and they, I think just that happiness sort of kept their health and their lives long. And so I think it was like being happy and grateful in the moment, what they have, having community and people around them that they loved, and, um, and then being out, out in nature a lot and like fresh air outside a lot. And those kind, they were like the common factors, some of the common factors that these people had. So I think you're sort of touching on something quite big. It's like You might think it's only a little to say, oh my God, my pen, I'm so grateful my pen works. But it's like, if we're not grateful for the little things, how are we going to be really grateful and love our lives? So if you can get to the point where you can be so grateful for the little things, imagine how amazing you're going to feel when the big things happen. It's going to be like tenfold, isn't it? It's like, woohoo, like winning the lottery every time something amazing happens. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love that. So how do you cope with like your— so you just mentioned like your, your kids and your husband. So you've obviously got a very different mindset to them. How do you cope with that within the family dynamic? It's quite funny, actually. We've laughed about this so, so often. So there's been things. Okay, so I'm going to give you an example of the story. So last, last January, so we really wanted to go to the Caribbean. This is something that we do every year, but obviously the past few years it's been more difficult to get over there with lockdowns and all sorts of stuff. And so we really, really wanted to go. Was it last January? January 2022, and it was looking impossible with, with, you know, the restrictions and all sorts of stuff that was in place. And I was determined we were gonna go, right? I knew in my head, much the same way I know I'm gonna have a yacht, a super yacht, and a caravan. I knew we were going. Like, there was no way on this earth if you looked at the rules that we were gonna go because of everything that we— you're not allowed to travel and all sorts of stuff. Um, so they made my husband book time off work we booked the flights and I was dancing around the house like I was keeping my vibe high because I was going to go on that plane and I was going to go and I was going to go on this holiday. And he's— and one day he sat on the edge of the bed and he said to me, Laura, you need to get realistic. You need to sort your head out because you're confusing the kids because they think they're going. I'm like, they are going. It's like, no, you need to get realistic because this isn't going to happen. You need to realize this. And I said to him, listen, don't talk to me. Don't, don't lower my vibration. Just give me until the end of the week. Let me just be in my bubble. Let me keep my vibe high because I believe we're going and I don't know how that's going to happen, but I believe it's going to happen. Anyway, to cut the long story short, I mean, this would sound absolutely bonkers to someone, wouldn't it? Just saying that, they're like, what? It's like, what? What? Because realistically, logically, like, there was no way we were going. Yeah. Given the circumstances that we were in, there was nowhere that we were going. So he was being realistic because he was looking, thinking, well, actually, I need to unbook my holiday from work and we need to do this and we need to probably cancel the flights and we need to do, you know. But I was like, no, no, no, no, you keep your realistic normal life and thoughts to yourself. I'm living in my bubble because my reality is different to your reality because I'm creating my reality from my energy, knowing my connection with Source, Universe. And so I didn't speak to him and he said to me, and he said this a few times to me now, he says, you do my head in when you do this. I can't I speak to you, you do my head in. And I'm like, that's fine, don't speak to me. And I carry on dancing and I'm still high, sky high. And then lo and behold, like, doors just opened and like literally miracles happened. And we got there and I was like sat on the beach thinking, you know, what, what happened there? Like, the universe literally picked us up as a family and carried us and put me on that beach. And, um, so what actually happened? So what were the actual things that came in? You said miracles happened. What were I don't know if I should share those things on here. Keep it clean, family show. Yeah, um, yeah, maybe on another show. I don't know. Yeah, this— yeah, the same. Yeah, miracles happened, um, that opened the doors which made it possible for us to go. So you talk about miracles, like you mean like opportunities or things came in that gave you the money to be able to do it, like Yes, it wasn't a money thing, it was a restriction thing. Was it with the COVID restrictions? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So yeah, there was, there was, there was the island. You needed to fit certain criteria to go to certain parts and do certain things. And so what I'm hearing is that you found out what you needed to do, reverse engineered it, and found a way to make it happen. So what happened? So this is what happens with manifesting. So sometimes, you know, when you manifest something, some people probably think, right, I want to— I want a dream car, I want a Ferrari. Boom, there it is on the drive. That's not how it happens. The universe, from my experience, when I manifest things, the universe literally gives you little, little breadcrumbs to follow. So you raise your vibration like I was dancing around the house, and then I see opportunities, or the universe opens doors or creates opportunities. It creates— it brought me to something into my awareness, which meant that there was something that I could do, which meant that I took a step forward. And then one day Nicole, my youngest girl, came home from school and she was like, 'Mum, you can't give up.' And she gave me another rocket up my bum to do something else and to do something else, which meant that we created a pathway, or we saw a pathway that we could get to where we wanted to be. In the way that we wanted to get there. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's the difference. Like, we're manifesting. People think— some people go, oh, manifesting is not real because they think that people are just listening to magic. We were going, I want a Ferrari and it will turn up. I want a million dollars. And that's not how it works. Like, like you said, it is. Yeah. Yeah. It's the journey. You put out what you want and then your intuition brings in clues and guidance to get you to take the step. You've still got to take the action, you've still got to do the work to create the thing. It's just that the opportunity to take you to that thing, to make that money, to be able to— you might even win that car, who knows? But yeah, you might get in a competition, it could come in, in miraculous ways. But the opportunities and the steps and path to get to that thing will come to you, but you then have to choose to take them as well. Yes. To do it and to do the work. Yeah, I think that's the difference. I think that's what the sort of the key to manifesting is, and also believing that it's possible for you as well. Yeah, yeah, 100%. Yeah, if you don't believe it's po— like, if you want to earn £10,000 a month and you keep putting it out there and you're taking the steps but you don't really believe that it's possible to earn that for yourself, then you'll keep kind of sabotaging yourself or going off track, and you're doing it subconsciously. Because you don't really believe that you're either worthy of it or it's possible for you. 100%. You do the inner work, you clear that out, then the action steps you take in your business or whatever you're doing are very different because you believe it's possible. So you create it and it becomes possible. And I think it's kind of getting through that threshold because I think we're raised in society to say, when it happens and I believe it— you kind of got to believe it first and then do the actions and it will become possible. So it's not just sitting around with, you know, your legs crossed going, yo, I want a million pounds and an amazing person and, I don't know, and a superyacht, like you're saying, and it'll just turn up. You're like, this is what I want, the superyacht, and I believe it's possible. And in my belief in it's possible, the steps I'm going to take in my business and what I'm doing and putting out in the world will lead me to being able to have that. Yeah. And that's the difference, isn't it? It's not— there's got to be the practical steps with it as well, but the belief's got to be there. Yeah. Which is why belief coding is so powerful. Yeah. Ridiculously powerful. Because once you believe in something, then you can easily bring it to you. And the other thing I would add to what you've just said there, when you, when you believe in something and you raise your vibration to be a match to the thing that you want, the action that comes to you feels easy and aligned. It never feels like you've got the resistance. Yeah. So the action that I took to get me to where I wanted to be was just easy. Like, to anybody else, I'm like, how did you do that? That must have been loads, like, really, really difficult. It was like, no, it was just easy because it was so aligned. You know, sometimes when as a coach I see loads of coaches online and, and they'll be like, if you want to hit 10K a month, you've got to be consistent, you've got to show up, you've got to do this, you've got to do stories every day. And I've always been a coach that says, no, you only do what you feel like doing because you need to be in alignment. Yeah, when you're in alignment, you get the downloads, you get the inspiration, you get the information to put out, you get the messages that's going to reach the right people, that are going to attract the right people to you. Whereas if you're constantly at it and against it and against it and using your brain to think, I need to create this content, it's never in flow. And that is not what I'm about. It's more coming from fear and need than it is from flow and desire and like what you want, what you love. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I've got a story on manifesting. Like when I first moved to London in '99, I came down because I was presenting a TV show on ITV. I was a TV presenter. So I decided modeling, moved to Manchester, and then I just suddenly decided I wanted to have a go at TV presenting. Why not? And then I just believed that it was possible for me. I went on a TV show as a model and there's some presenters on interviewing some people. And it was promoting one of the nightclubs in Manchester and we were— they were interviewing the club promoters at this nightclub and they had two models in the background to sort of look pretty. I was one of those models. So I got chatting to the guys that owned the club, became friends with them, and I watched how the presenters are working and I thought, I can do this. I thought, I want to be a TV presenter. And I remember telling a few people and a few people that worked in TV and they went, oh no, it'll take years. You can't just get a job in TV. You can't just become a TV presenter. You've got to work your way up. You've got to do this. They started putting all the the blocks up and all the reasons why it wouldn't happen and, oh, it's not possible. And just like all their, their beliefs and fears, trying to put them on me, a bit like your husband was doing with you. And I didn't have that. I didn't have that conditioning and that belief. I was just like, oh, I just want to do it. I went to the nightclub that we'd been doing on the TV show, and I was in there just on a night out with my friends, and they were filming a TV show called Clubavision. They were interviewing the people in the club and the DJs and the clubbers. And I went up and because the guys that own the club knew me, they brought me up to be interviewed on the TV show. And I got chatting to the guy that was a producer. They did the little interview and I went, I can do this. I want to be a TV presenter. Gave him my number, said, if you want another presenter, let me know. Went off on my business. I got a call about a week or so later saying, come down to London and do an audition. For a TV show. We're looking for a new presenter. And I went down, didn't think I was going to get it because it was this room full of women that all seemed to know everything more than me. So going back to your story, like when you were like working in the office and you didn't think, you know, you didn't, you just didn't think you had a chance and didn't know your worth. I was in that place, but I was like, well, I'm just going to be me and do what I want to do. Did the audition, changed the script because it was boring, said how I wanted to say it. Long story short, got it, filmed the pilot, and then I moved down to London A few weeks later, and I was living in London, I present— I was presenting my own show on ITV. Yeah, that's that. And that's what we mean by like manifesting and putting it out there, but then taking the action and the opportunities come in your path. It's not like I just went, I'm a TV presenter, and it fell in my lap. I said I wanted, I wanted that, and I believed it was possible, and then the opportunities came and I stepped up and took them. And that's why I got the TV presenter job. And that's just like an example of how manifesting works. So, and it does, it works when you're in flow and happiness and believe in yourself. I think magic happens. It does, it does. Yeah. So I am on the same page as you with this, my lovely. I know, I love it, I love it. But yeah, triggered that. Yeah. So, um, have you got a book out? A book? Yeah, I reckon you should write a book. Apparently a book is on the cards. This is some another download that I've had. Download from that? Yeah. Yeah, like awakening the— awakening the something within or something. Yeah, apparently. I think, I think this— for this, this summer, um, it's going to be quite manic, but I think there's definitely a book there. Yeah. What are you doing this summer? What's your plans? These are just downloads. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. But you're like a human MP3 player. Download, download. I know, I know. Honestly, honestly, it's just It's just coming thick and fast. So yeah, from what I understand, um, it's just gonna go a bit mental. And I don't know if that's just this, this program that I'm launching, or if there's more of this. Um, yeah, but yeah, I think by the time I get to the end of the year, I'm going to be like, what has just happened there? So I dare say, me on my journey to my yacht and my retreats and my events, um, I reckon it's just gonna go a bit like that over the next few months. So I think you're going to do amazing. Like, you know what? I think we should get you on the show again at the end of the year so you can share with us what's happened from like between now and then and how your journey's been and what, you know, where you're at. Because I think I would absolutely love, you know, I'm sure everyone listening would love to know how you get on and just to hear some more of your magic. And yeah, come. Yeah. So come back on at the end of the year and share, share what's happened. Yeah, I'm very excited to know what's unfolding for you and I think you are going to create some amazing big things. And your energy is just so amazing and infectious. And I think, I think you're one of those amazing people who just impacts people just by being in a room, just because your energy is so lovely and happy and high. So I can't wait until you're out in the world sharing everyone. Thank you. Funny you say that because I've met quite a few people recently and they're like, you've activated me. They're getting, you know, images and downloads themselves, like What is it that you did? I'm like, I didn't do anything. But it just, I suppose, raising your vibration, it opens you up to receiving that stuff, the crazy stuff. It's interesting, isn't it? Energy. Yeah, because we feel energy around people. Anyone listening that's not sure what we mean when we talk about energy, like you sometimes can walk in a room and you can feel a certain way, it can impact you, you can feel energized and happy, or you can suddenly feel really drained. Or feel a bit not quite right, and that's because the energy in the room is a certain way. Or if you're around certain people and suddenly you around that person, they just feel a bit off, or you feel really drawn and happy to some people, that's energy. That's the energy they're giving out in that moment. It doesn't mean they're a good or a bad person. It just means that in that moment, that's the energy vibration that person is in. So it's really interesting. So if you're listening to this and thinking, oh, just have a little play today. And tune into yourself and think, how am I feeling in the minute? How does hanging out with this person make me feel? How does doing this job or experience or thing that I'm doing make me feel? And then just— and that's what we mean by energy. Does it give you energy or does it take it away? Does it make you feel happy and excited and, you know, full of life? Or does it make you feel exhausted and drained? That's energy giving or energy taking away. Very convoluted way to describe energy, but there you go. Boom. Right, we've got— oh, we've got a few minutes left. So, um, as— so before we wrap up and say goodbye, Edya, is there anything else that you would love to share people with? Some knowledge you would like to impart onto them? Oh, do you know what? Yes, I think there is. And this is— what did you ask? This is just really to help people out, because if this is all completely new to people, then the idea of the moon and moon cycles might also be fairly new. And this has been fairly new in my sort of remit as well. But it's huge for women. Our monthly cycle is huge. You know, I think for me, I always had that pressure of feeling that I had to be fully performing on fire and on all cylinders all the time, being, you know, I mean, to do everything for the kids and everything around the house. But you know what, this is another thing that has been totally hidden from us. So if you are a person where you notice that one week you're feeling amazing and then you're feeling drained, please listen to your body, right? Your body will always tell you what you need. If you want to sleep through the day, sleep through the day, okay? Because we need, we need to listen to our body and we need to rest. And this is another thing, when you are going through these, um, transitions, when you are starting to work with energy, when you are starting to get the messages from that higher version of yourself, that higher energy, it, it does drain you. And it, it, and it— and I'm not getting my words out here, but we do need a lot more sleep than what we're led to believe, right? Um, sometimes people associate with sleeping through the day as being lazy, or that we should be doing other things. All I would say is please listen to your body, and it is totally natural to go through periods where you do just want to lock yourself away, you do just want to stay in bed, you do want to be away from other people because you do need to recharge your own cup and re-get your energy back to where it should be. And there is nothing wrong with that. There's nothing to be ashamed of. It is completely normal, completely natural. These are cycles that we all absolutely have. And yeah, just wanted to emphasize that. So do you think women feel this more than men because of our menstrual cycle? Do you think that's why? Maybe. I think some of us feel more emotionally attuned, you think, generally speaking? Yeah, see, for me, I've never, I've never noticed that I've been affected by either the moon or monthly cycles. For me, I've, I've been quite lucky in that I'm pretty much on a level playing field. However, these past few months has been some amazing, like, crazy energies with eclipses and all sorts of stuff. And if you're on this journey of sort of expanding your conscious awareness, you kind are feeling those more. And I know this month again is full of like all sorts of eclipses and endings and rebirths and things going on. But yeah, I think some of us are more sensitive to it and I think that's something that I've become more sensitive to just recently. So I'm always saying to people, if you want to sleep, please sleep. That's my number one piece of advice for my clients at the moment. If you feel tired, please go to sleep as well. It helps so much to keep your vibe high, you know. When you're tired, you're drained, you feel down, you know, those negative thoughts come in a lot easier. Whereas number one, keep your vibe high. And if you need sleep to do that, absolutely do it. I agree. I think a little power nap in the afternoon is way more powerful for you and your energy than a coffee. Yeah, I think sometimes when we get tired, we reach for coffee, sugar, and those kind of like bad sort of foods that are not very good for our health and giving us energy that give us that little instant fix. But then we end up feeling more energy zap later, whereas just a little 15-minute power nap in the afternoon. I have a little— I love a power nap. I have a little power nap and I'm like, zing, I'm off to go. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like my coffee in the morning, but I can't drink coffee in the afternoon, I won't sleep. But, but yeah, I think sleep is a massive thing. Yeah. I've started drinking cacao now. I think you was the first person to mention it to me. I was like, how have I gone all my life without this? It's amazing, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, I have a cup of cacao every morning. It just sets up my morning really lovely. Yeah, I switched my morning coffee to cacao and I have my morning coffee about an hour or so later. You just drop harder, yeah? Yeah, it's just a really nice, warm, lovely feeling. So if anyone wants to know about cacao, listen to the interview with Naomi Buff on the Eat Love Do site. She talks about cacao. And she's like a plethora of information on it. And I think we've run out of time. Oh my God, we could just keep talking forever, I think. But we're definitely getting you back on. Thank you so much for coming on, everybody. Thank you for listening. It's been the Eat, Love, Do Show. We're on at 9 AM and 9 PM every day, all week. Keep coming back. Thank you so much. Love to you all. Thank you. Bye. Thank you so much for having me.
